You're bored with the meta, not because 2-3 decks are dominating it (we actually have many when you consider 2 different spiteful decks, Quest Rogue, Cubelock, Haddronox Druid, 3 variations for aggro pallies, etc), but because you can't play a game with the same meta for more than a month.
Year of the Mammoth: Cubelock, Silver Hand Recruits everywhere, and Spiteful Summoner pulling Mind Control
Year of the Raven: Cubelock, Silver Hand Recruits everywhere, and Spiteful Summoner pulling Ultimate Infestation
SUCH DIFFERENCE MUCH WOW
A month. That's just cute.
Year of the Mammoth was what? Did everyone forgot all the priest plague? Razakus and Big? And no one really cares that warlock was obliterated for more than a year? And why all the nerfs requests? ASK FOR BUFFS!!! Never seen a real buff in this game, just nerfs. Or reverting nerfs, Yogg-Saron for example, with all the spells in wild, it should be lots of fun and with random enough to screw the one who plays it.
You're bored with the meta, not because 2-3 decks are dominating it
No shit. I believe the vast majority of us are being perfectly honest about this, so I'm not quite sure what you're trying to prove with the "Gotcha!" thread title and the general tone of your post.
we actually have many when you consider 2 different spiteful decks, Quest Rogue, Cubelock, Haddronox Druid, 3 variations for aggro pallies, etc
Spiteful decks play out in a fairly similar fashion. The 3 variants of aggro pally (oh wow, 3 different versions!!) play out very similarly. Quest Rogue feels lousy and unfun to play against and is hated by almost everyone, even the pros. Cubelock is cubelock.
but because you can't play a game with the same meta for more than a month
Straight up hyperbole. Paladin and Warlock have been tier one for the past 4 months and now, with the launch of the new expansion are still tier one. Yes, people are bored with this. No, this shouldn't come as a surprise.
Players are tilted because some off the wall WW decks like Rush Hunter or something never became playable and you want all tier 1 & 2 decks nerfed so an unforeseen clown fiesta meta can completely overhaul the meta before a new expansion releases.
More hyperbole. No-one wants a 'clown fiesta'. Most of us would, however, like to see more of the new WW cards actually see play, and some nerfs to the existing archetypes would certainly help with that.
I do think the community in general is easily bored and impatient
People like novelty, dude. If you can't understand this, I don't even know what to tell you.
I get that some of the nerf threads can be whiny and annoying, but there is also a lot of valid dissatisfaction in the community, and it's coming from a lot of quarters, pro players included. And it seems Blizzard agrees, as nerfs are now incoming. So... mic drop for those of us who want nerfs, I guess! ;-)
I honestly don't think nerfs are going to help anything. I think the problem is that Witchwood was a boring release. And I don't think nerfing the crap out of good cards will change that.
At least that's the view from my chair. Maybe you see things differently from yours.
The card pool reduction from "rotation" has made the meta stable and a bit boring more cards = more variation so rotation is a bit of a culprit. MAybe add Goblins and Gnomes to classic ? increase the standard pool :)
Now everyone in this thread make 20 more threads till end of the month balance changes because we just need another thread about the state of the game.

It's more to do with Witchwood.
On the first rotation we got Ctun Druid, Ctun Priest, Yogg Druid, Yogg Mage, Cthun Warrior, Nzoth Warriors, Nzoth Palidan etc.
With Witchwood we got...
...Aggro Pally with no even cards, Midrange Pally with no odd cards, and Shudderwock Shaman.
I'm a 4 year player and (don't know why), this is the most boring meta ever :|
Best Regards
Biggest problem for me too - I'm bored. Good to hear the Witchwood expansion may finally be playable on ladder in a few weeks!
Not all of the cards mentioned are going to be nerfed. In fact, one of the last two news threads on Hearthpwn mentioned part of the quote that said they specifically weren't going to nerf all of the cards mentioned, just that they would discuss all of those cards.
People keep saying the WW expansion is going to be playable. It mostly won't, and it isn't just because older decks are so strong. Most of the WW cards are flat out underpowered. You're never going to see a hunter deck heavily revolved around poison mechanics that will also do well on either format's ladder. In fact, I've only ever seen a few poison effects used on streams combined with Quest Hunter.
You would have to seriously nerf every single tier 1 & tier 2 deck to make most of the weaksauce WW cards dominate in standard or wild. WW only barely has more serious cards in it than TGT did when it released.
This meta sucks. You're a fanboy in denial. We understand.
You're more than welcome to go back to initial Pirate Warrior, Aggro Shaman, or Midrange Shaman metas if you think this one is so horrible in comparison ^_^
Nah, not a "fanboy", more like I don't like seeing whiney players demand nerfs that not only adjusts the power level of cards and decks, but seeks to permanently delete decks from the game simply because people don't like them and have massive bias that only allows decks/cards that fit their playstyle preference.
My philosophy is that nerfs that decrease the total number of decks you can play in a format is bad. There is a difference between tweaking some warlock cards to weaken mana cheese a little and then going balls to the walls nerfing skull, lackey, gul'dan, voidlord, kabal, spellstone, AND doomguard simply because you hate the class. The same goes for any class currently succeeding in the meta.
Nerfing massive amounts of cards is also very lazy game design since it adds nothing new to the game and doesn't address weaknesses and flaws in other classes/decks/cards that will still be there after a plethora of nerfs. For example, you can nerf paladin, rogue, lock, and druid all you want in the current meta, but it won't change the fact that priest and shaman basic and classic sets are very weak. It also won't change the fact that no new aoe cards are being added to classes that lack them (such as hunter, rogue, and druid).
Taking things away from the game may change things, but it doesn't add anything new to lead the game in a better direction.
I talked earlier about a couple card changes I would like to see among other adjustments here, but it just dawned on me that if Preparation was made to reduce your next spell by (2) mana, my Arcane Tyrant Rogue decksperiment would perform much better being able to cast Sprint for 5 mana instead of 4 leaving my Arcane Tyrants at 5 mana each.

Exaggerating other people's points does nothing to support your argument; no one is asking for every warlock card to be nerfed, you know that. People just want a fresh meta, not the one we've had for 5 months. And the worst part of your argument was that last part:
"Taking things away from the game may change things, but it doesn't add anything new to lead the game in a better direction."
This could not be more wrong. Why do you think we saw so much more mill druid and controlock towards the end of KnC? Because Corridor Creeper and Bonemare were no longer able to make tempo/midrange decks meta. Sure we're bored of it now, but at the time it felt relatively fresh.
Theres nothing wrong with nerfing cards, there will always be netdecks. But by buffing and/or nerfing a couple cards every month, the game would be a lot more fresh and we would see a lot of different decks.
Spiteful Summoner is deleted or the employee who created it is fired
These are my wishes demands.
I hate taunt druid too I think that archetype is just like some kind of broken N'zoth. Agree 100% about Doomguard. Also Cube could be changed to summon the same minion for both players, or just one minion. CTA is hard because I don't think it should belong in odd paladin, (eg change to 5 mana) and at 6 mana it's lost it's purpose. Perhaps give it the chance to summon between 1-3 (2) cost or lower minions? Agree in general that classes have better quality specific cards although arguably cubelock is that, and look how broken that is. I actually think Tarim is ok, he's balanced in midrange Paladin (although that's not an archetype now) he feels OP now because of all the board flood from odd/even paladin. He certainly shouldn't be discoverable in odd paladin that should change. Tarim is hard because midrange paladin is one of my all time favourite decks and it would be a shame to see the chance to play it nerfed. Spiteful needs a big change, it should be 1/1 to begin with (Like big -time racketeer) and change it so it summons a spell between 1-"card xx cost" Agree also that some employees need firing or retraining based on what they put out in this expac. Or at least some more public hand holding up by Blizzard, it would be real nice to hear them say "ok, we fucked up, spiteful was ridiculous and should not have been released, have a free pack on us"
Specifically on Call to Arms, if it were to be made 5 mana, Odd Paladin might run it inplace of DIvine Favor, but honestly, only pulling little 1 cost minions for 5 mana is hardly enough to stay on top of the tempo game. Murloc Paladin would probably be the only other deck running it and it would be slightly more manageable on turns 5, 6 and later.
edit: and if it were 5 mana, Blizzard might increase the number of recruited minions to 4 which would make the delay in pressure a little less punishing for the Paladins.
Is it weird that I just don't want to kill the same 5 mana Void Lord not once, not twice, but more than six times (cube + Gul'Dan + all those additional void walkers in between)?
I just want silence effects to remove the demon tag, at least. Then other nerfs might not even be needed.

That wouldn't even help much. as the cube would still bring the demon tag back.
On that note, when the text on cube says summon 2 copies, it should be 2 exact copies as in: If you cube a voidlord with 1 health left, it should bring back 2x voidlord with 1 health. If you cube a silenced lackey, it should bring back 2x silenced lackeys.
Wild>>> doomguard is on board lets say 5/2..PO +8/+8 face>>cube>>destroy cube and you have 2 doomguards with 13 attack...

Silence wiping tribes hurts all tribes. Dragons, Beasts, Elementals, Totems, etc. That needs Hunter, Priest, Shaman, Warrior,...
It also changes the meaning of Silence. Silence removes the text box. Tribe was never part of the text box.

Just anything non interactive, unfortunately Rogue is responsible for nearly all of these "solitaire" decks. Even aggro has to interact occasionally.
I just want the dust.

taunt druid is fine because it fits in with druid's class identity of summoning a big taunty forest.

I want valuestone, not dead by turn 6 stone. I want a chance to play my cards before I lose.
