I think 2 mountain giants still lose to 6 voidlords
Everyone posts this on every theorycrafting thread ever.
If you have no valuable insight, then head on over to the salt thread.
How is this not valuable insight? If the deck doesn’t match up to cubelock, it’s not a tier 1 deck, therefore, it is not meta defining.
Its not salt, it’s just a fact. I don’t even hate cubelock, it’s just simply the strongest deck. And if you won’t compare your theorycrafted decks to it just because everyone plays it and talks about it, you are being naive.
So many new decks that can utilize Mountain Giants extremely effectively:
Handruid, Minion Mage, Even Handlock, etc.
Handdruid? So far seems like a meme deck.
Minion mage? You mean elemental mage? I dont think giants are good in there.
Handlock? Its not a new deck. But to be fair, even-lock with a turn 3 giant might be somewhat successful.
I suppose it has to do with playing arugal and aluneth + the new spell book that discards spells so you fill your hand fast with minions and hopefully dupe some giants to gain a large enough hand to play lots of them and copy... but I don't know...
Handdruid actually looks fun to test out if I get the cards needed... not anything I am thinking about crafting

To be honest Hand druid seems quite promising by the looks of it,filled with taunts and some late game threats or the witching hour pack and you have yourself a t1 deck that is build all around to withstand both aggro and control decks/heavy greedy decks.

1: Cubelock isn’t the strongest deck
2: 3 sets are rotating out; things are gonna change
3: The Witchwood has some crazy powerful cards that in all likelihood will spawn T1 decks

Not only that there are ways to combo out with the taunts... especially since you can ressurect hadronox a ridiculous amount of times.
At this point, Druid has such good anti-aggro tools, that it doesn’t care about passing turn two with Witchwood Apple
Ravencaller is bad in every deck except quest hunter. If you want to skip turn 2 there are better ways to do it (Wild growth). And you seriously think that your T5 Ixlid will survive?
We shall see. Think of Witchwood Apple as a 3 mana ramp in Handruid

Witching hour is another story. But the 2 mana: "draw an even worse Force of Nature" and the 4 mana: "get a bunch of tokens" without going for a token buffing strategy are just bad cards.
The 5 mana: "Twilight drake with taunt" and the 3 mana: "Better shield block" are good cards and might see play because they fit into druids usual playstyle. But if you cant drop consistently the giant on T4 I dont think it will make the cut.
I kind of disagree since buffing works well in the hadronox decks I 3/2 panther for early board presense that also buffs multiple minions? Yes please.
To be fair, as far as I remember Cubelock only loses Mistress of Mixtures, so it's still a thing to consider.
Then again, I'm not really sure Handlock is ever gonna come back, not without Molten Giant -yeah, you could try Faceless Shambler or the 4 mana Demon from KaC, but I can't really see it replacing the good old molten-.

Too soon to speak about meta defining cards.
I’m not saying it’s meta defining, I’m saying it has the potential to be.
I just want to know what the community thinks of these decks.

Just Another Legend Player#Kappa
Warlock is the only class that can use Mountain Giant effectively, since it's a consistent T4 8/8.

Join me at Out of Cards!
Ravencaller + Witchwood Apple = consistent Mountain Giants
—> Ixlid, Fungal Lord + Mountain Giants = Turn 5 insanity

I don’t think of Handruid as a control deck, it’s more of a midrange deck.
