It wouldn't be the first time that there's a mismatch between what the deck contains and its name. Freeze mage should be called "Alexstrasza combo mage" since the freeze mechanic is tangential to the deck at best. Miracle Rogue should be called "Combo Rogue" since the deck rarely OTKs anymore (it TTKs at best). Midrange Shaman should be called "Aggro-midrange-control Shaman" or "Swiss-knife shaman" since it's good at everything. Ramp Druid is merely a shell rather than a single archetype. "Tempo Mage" looks more like a spell-based aggro deck (or midrange at best)
Calling it ''Reno decks'' makes more sense, although they're probably going to need some help after the next rotation if they're going to stay alive...
They are called Highlander decks as is custom with every other CCG/TCG ever made. But because Hearthstoners aren't known for thinking straight they just name them Reno decks. After all, this is the community that likes to name their decks after the one or multiple legendaries or "creature tag" as opposed to proper names ie: Pirate Dragon Warrior as opposed to midrange warrior (some variations!) Or Malygos-Druid/Rogue as opposed to Combo-Druid/Rogue.
TL;DR: The decks should be called Highlander but in reality it'll be called dead because those decks are kinda shit without Reno and would become even easier roadkill for aggro decks.
Freeze mage is a combo deck. Alex isn't even needed in some cases as the evolved kobold has made it fairly easy to push out quite a bit more damage.
Miracle is and has always been a combo deck and it has never been an OTK( hearthstone has never had an OTK in its traditional form)
Midrange Shaman is named midrange Shaman because it is a midrange deck. Midrange decks a primarily decks that can dish out heavy early game pressure and have enough late game cards to either finish off the opponent or hang around with other decks in the later stage of the game.
Ramp druid in its current state is perfectly represented as ramp druid as wild growth into jade blossom into nourish is about as rampy as you can get.
And lastly, tempo mage is a midrange deck. Tempo just means that you have to play turn for turn ahead of the opponent, playing on curve, applying pressure and making your opponent answer your board rather then getting their gameplan out. Again, Midrange decks are meant to apply heavy early game pressure (ie Mana Wyrm into spells palooza to face into flamewaker into more spells that hit face is heavy early game pressure). But in the case of your opponent neutralizing your board, you still have enough late game minions/spells to hang around or give that little extra push. Like Firelands Portal (broken) or Archmage Tony.

Actually, it had a couple of them, but never mind. Times long gone by.
In its truest form, otk means dropping them from full health to 0 in a single turn or in exodias case just outright win the game. The common misconception is that a deck like freeze mage bursting you down from 30 automatically makes it an OTK, but that is false. Freeze mage is a combo deck that is built to combo you from 15 health but with the perfect draw, can burst from 30. FoN + Savage roar was another combo deck that had huge burst potential. But now that I think about it, the only two decks that come to mind that can be somewhat considered OTK decks are the Inner fire Priest and Worgen Warrior decks.
Reno will still be in the game, just not in every gamemode. I see no reason to change the name.

Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
Repeat None: this makes it.

I guess they will be called Reno, but who knows?
Another example is Zoo, which also got it's name from an old MTG deck which played a lot low cost animals/creatures.
You guys do know that Reno will still be a card, right? He'll still be in Wild, and Reno Decks will still be highly playable in that format.
If anything, newer players will look and see that a Wild Reno deck has Reno Jackson in it, and they'll be able to draw the line from there.
Why don't we just call them:
-Kaza-Priest/Lock/Mage or Kazakus-Priest/Lock/Mage?
-or ND-Priest/Lock/Mage for ND being No Duplicates?
I don't even know who came up with Reno as a name I always called them No Duplicates Decks (Kappa // )
No but seriously I guess Kaza or Kazakus is fine
New players will get confused when you call it Reno Deck so you need to update the name xD
Just remember the good times!

call it monthly deck/moon deck, 1 month usually have 30 days and none is the same :D
Imo the community needs to stop naming decks [key card] + [class], that's unimaginative and boring.
Depends on what the new expansion brings for those decks. If Kazakus turns out to be the best "Reno-type" card, I know I will call them Kazakus decks.
Shanking ankles since 2015.
I would call them the "we're gonna be rich" decks
S39 Legend - Quest Rogue, S38 Legend - Murloc Paladin, S37 Legend - Miracle Rogue, S36 Top 200 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S35 - Finished Rank 51 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S34 Legend - Aggro Shaman
We should call them unplayable.
Reno
It'll still be a thing in wild and it's the original card
Question everything.
