I really like the idea of this card. Even though it's a neutral spell and therefore doesn't seem realistic, I thought that I should explore the idea of a spell with a "when the game starts" effect. When the card is played, it does nothing, like Cursed! created by Curse of Rafaam.
A lot of the Taunts in this deck are too slow and don't provide enough of a benefit for the cost. Take Direhorn Hatchling or Stonehill Defender; they do something that provides card advantage but don't impact the board enough.
Definitely Taunt and +3 Health will be a great combo. So will Taunt and Divine Shield, Poisonous and Stealth, and possibly +3 Attack and Stealth. As for the most picked, either Taunt or +3 Health, and perhaps +1,+1.
Expensive, but it should see some play (at least at first!)
The aggro meta probably won't kill you by turn 5 (my prediction). Blizzard is releasing a lot of powerful anti-aggro taunts (Second-Rate Bruiser, Tar Creeper) as well as great AOEs (Corrupting Mist, Volcano). I predict there will be a midrange meta.
Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem. Hey are the two most cancerous cards in the game right now. Every time I hear their play sounds I feel like I want to die.
Everyone (myself included) thought Rogue would be worse than Priest was before. It's funny how much like 6 cards can improve a deck so much that it goes from tier 3 or something to tier 1.
I'm not sure if this is so much underpowered as it was overhyped, but Jade Idol is a lot less meta-defining than people expected it to be and is totally fine balance-wise (as of right now).

I don't think the Jade is a good idea. It's just too many themes for 1 deck. Your Menagerie stuff won't be consistent enough with it.

I think CotW at 8 wouldn't be much of a problem, since you rarely get to turn 8 anyway.
