The list of cards that can't be used in the new Standard mode is crazy:
No more Piloted Shredder? Sludge?
No more Dr. Balance?!
Needless to say Standard will be a brand new meta and I'm excited to see how it will change. So which card will you miss the most when it comes to playing standard?
I am so confused by what is happening, but if they are removing cards from us to use in general I want my money back that I spent buying the adventures and packs.
Are my top contender in this place. They all were our last protection against aggro, now we have to pray to survive to get reno jackson in turn 6 (if we even survive until then).
Some I'll miss (Creeper, Death's Bite), others I won't (esportal, blastmage), but for sure with oil going out, Rogue is going to need some serious love.
More than individual cards, it will be interesting to see the deck archetypes that are gone. Mech Mage will be hit hard, as will Tempo Mage as we know it today. Secret Paladin will loose Muster, Avenge, Boom, etc. Warrior is losing Death's Bite. Priest is losing Velen's, Shrinkmeister, and Light Bomb. Okay, I won't list them all, but you get the point.
I do not envy Blizzard Team 5 and their job of balancing the next expansion to account for classes that are losing major cards as well as balancing arena. For instance, Paladin is losing a lot of often played cards in Standard, but they are among the strongest classes in Arena. Blizzard will need to be careful to make the class viable in Standard, but not make it too much more powerful in Arena.

They aren't taking away anything, calm down.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

I won't be playing Standard that much, but I will miss Neptulon like no tomorrow when I do tho :(
Neptuolon will definitely be my most missed card, and the main reason I play Wild some of the time.
It's so funny to me that people are forgetting/ignoring that a new expansion will be dropping with the changes, cards like healbot and belcher will have replacements i'm guessing.

Blizzard mentioned changes to Basic and Classic cards are incoming to allow for future design freedom. I anticipate changes to Savage Roar and Force of Nature. Midrange Druid is one of the class archetypes least hurt by the loss of GvG and Naxx. If the Force-Roar combo does not change, then everyone will still be playing that same, boring, reliable deck...which does not fit the new meta Blizzard seems to be seeking.
Looks like Blizzard is taking their cue from Magic: the Gathering.....because multiple formats is how M:tg is managing to stay alive, and a continuous rotation of what is allowed in Standard keeps the game changing. I'm going to miss Mad Scientist.

I don't see my post here, why did I get a notification about this...
Don't answer, I'll unsub this thread.
Will really miss Oil Rogue, but I am confident a new strong archetype will emerge.
A glorious bundle of salt.

Make the Card: The biggest thread on the site!
My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
As a midrange paladin main I will miss Zombie Chow, Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle and Quartermaster the most :(
I guess I'll go back to the old days of Humility + Stampeding Kodo.
Still I'm pretty happy to see some of the most cancerous cards go.
Oil and deaths bite.
I really hope next expansion is good.
For the uninformed......
