Competition #27: Pictures Worth A Thousand Cards
Helping us come up with this week's theme was adriamrk, whose "Ethereal Drake" card was crowned the victor of our "HS Top" competition one week ago.
Entry Restrictions: I feel the need to preface this by confirming that, no, this isn't a normal sort of competition restriction. Normally, our restrictions are mechanical, or when we do have a flavor/art restriction it at least comes paired with a mechanical one. This week's theme, though, is very different, and it may not quite be everybody's cup of tea, but we thought it might be fun to do something a little more free-form, mechanics-wise, while giving into that Grand Tournament hype. Your card must be a Grand Tournament card. That means that it must have the Grand Tournament emblem watermark. Your card cannot be of Legendary rarity. Your card's artwork must be one of the following three pieces. You'll recognize them as recent official key art, including the key art for the Grand Tournament! You may zoom in on your selection and/or rotate them wherever and however you like:

Existing Examples: This is actually NOT the first time an idea like this has come up on these forums. Our very own Varolie created this challenge some time ago. Check out some of the cards other folks came up with using other Hearthstone promotional images:

Competition Rules
We, the Fan Creation Forum Moderators, may edit and/or disqualify your entry if you neglect the competition's rules, so please read carefully. These measures are designed to ensure everyone has a fair and enjoyable experience during the contests!
You are allowed to submit one (1) entry per competition. Your entry must be a card of your own creation. You may add minimal comments to explain your card's design, balance, and/or qualities. You may not significantly alter your card once it has been submitted. (Although minor tweaks, such as to adjust balance or correct spelling errors, are acceptable.) You may not delete your submission post. Manipulating votes in any way is strictly forbidden. Any violators will receive a warning and a possible ban / disqualification from future contests. Any discussion of entries, ideas, and so on should take place in this week's designated Discussion Topic. This is the Submission Topic, and it is for submission posts and up-voting only. Recent New Rule - So called "troll entries" can be submitted but will not be able to advance to the final. Fun entries are OK, but outright, unbalanced parodies are not. If you're unsure, check with a moderator before submitting. Recent New Rule -You MUST upload your submission to a site that stores images, for example Imgur.com, Photobucket.com etc. This is for your own good as Hearthcards only keeps your image for a limited time and sometimes has problems resulting in lost images.
Competition Process
Entry Phase and Early Voting (Starts 20:00 UTC 30/July/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 4/August/2015) It is during this Phase that you may submit entries to the Submission Topic. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like!
Voting Phase (Starts 18:00 UTC 4/August/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 5/August/2015) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites!
Final Phase (Starts 19:00 UTC 5/August/2015, Ends 19:00 UTC 6/August/2015) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a 24-hour poll to decide the winner of the competition!
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll take the highest-voted entry on each page of the submission topic. Then, we'll fill in the rest using the formula detailed here...
(abc) / (de) = x
Where, a = The total number of up-votes in the entire topic. b = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. c = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. d = The total number of pages that the entire topic spanned. e = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
It might seem a bit complex and convoluted, but the bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score. It will be the ~15-25 entries that receive the highest final scores (depending on the popularity of this week's competition) that move on to the Final Phase. The spreadsheet showing the final scores of every submission will be released after each competition.
But wait, there's more! During each Weekly Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)
Rewards
To encourage your competitive spirit, we do of course offer a few rewards to competition winners: Their card forever immortalized in our Winners' Gallery! The power to choose the theme for a future competition! A unique Avatar Border & "Card Design Champion" Title, as depicted below!
"You say jump I say "Mrglrgrlrgrgrlg", you never ever seen a Muloc jump that high."
Overview: Murloc Ribbit-Rider is a pretty beefy murloc that rides on a back of a frog. It completely Ignores taunt as if it wasn't even there, because it just jumps over the taunted minion and attacks whoever it wants to.
Balance: This is an exceptionally strong card in Murloc decks, as it carries you into the mid game with a beefy murloc that wasn't available to you before. Being able to knock down key targets that are protected behind a taunt can be very nice. However, remember Hungry Crab is in the game and that card gets a ton of value if this card were to become popular.
Synergies: While it is strongest in Murloc decks, that doesn't mean you are forced to use it in those types of synergistic decks. Any aggro deck might take this card just to walk past taunts and deal massive damage, so it is up to you if it is worth it.
Simple and straightforward, let's give pirate rogues a chance to live! Card draw, stealth, pirate race, everything that's specific to rogues in this card! Can be awesome in arena (thus making me give it the epic rarity), I know it power-creeps Loot Hoarder, but Dr. Boom exists, Sludge Belchers exist, Druid of the Claw too.. well, I hope you like my card!
Why not have a little fun card instead of opie opness for a while? Fuels up your deck against fatigue, it's the opposite of draw engine: instead of thinning your deck, it thickens it instead! Very good for ultra slow meta
ENTERING: "Rwl rwl rwl rwl!" [Accompanied by trumpets]
ATTACKING: "Ribbit Ribbit." [Accompanied by a cheer by the crowd.]
DEATH: "OOOooohhh!" [By the crowd and accompanied by soft cries.]
OVERVIEW: Jousting Murloc is a Murloc who although on first glance appears to have a small body can actually favorably trade with bigger minions due to its inspire mechanic. So it can act as a form of reusable removal while also providing a body for your board presence. It also has charge which allows it to attack the same turn it is played.
BALANCE: Despite its ability to trade quiet favorably with larger minions like a Piloted Shredder and survive, it has a few weaknesses. The first weakness is its body, 3/1. Meaning it can be taken down by many forms of removal, some of which are hero powers. Its second weakness comes from Inspire which is a double-edged sword in the early and mid game as it can clog up your mana for a beneficial effect. Its final weakness comes from within the Inspire effect itself. Although it can trade with minions favorably while inspired for the turn, that is only during your turn. During your opponent's turn they could very well run a 1/1 minion into it and get rid of your Jousting Murloc.
SYNERGY: The most obvious synergy is with Murlocs. Murloc Warleader, Coldlight Seer or Grimscale Oracle can give it more survivability and make its attack higher so it can trade favorably with bigger minions like a Sludge Belcher. However this little guy can be run outside of murloc decks as it doesn't necessarily need other Murlocs to be good by itself as a charge minion with a twist. In decks outside of Murloc decks, cards like Dire Wolf Alpha or Flametongue Totem or Raid Leader can really make it shine.
An Epic Beast that ISN'T Captain's Parrot or Hungry Crab with a 'fun' battlecry to make the game that much more interesting! Not really sure what kind of deck you would put this in...but I think it would be super fun! Imagine getting Ragnaros's text on your turn 5 Drake or Belcher! RNG FTW!
This is the Submission Topic. The Discussion Topic is here.

(Note: Rocking horse here in the Netherlands is called: 'Hobbel Paard', so if you wonder about it's name...)
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
