Feeling like The Boomsday Project is missing something, but what? Hmm... Oh yeah,
Boom Bot
S! So i decided to give one to EVERYBODY! Because when everyone is
Dr. Boom
, hehe... no one will be!
The tokens:
And yes, the bots spawned by the good ol' original doc are also affected by the card.
I think this would allow new players to learn about hearthstone's old solo adventures content (which is not available to new players) or to offer old players some nostalgia. When using this card, any hero power ever made could be discovered (any solo adventure hero, death knight, standard hero, tavern brawl hero, etc.), including any passive hero powers as well (which would offer a player a rest from the mana drain each turn). It would be available to all classes, although it would have a nice discard synergy with warlock. I understand that people would think that this could be overpowered (getting Lord Jaraxxus's 6/6 inferno turn 1 with coin), but could also be extremely detrimental (having to discover a hero power that is either: 5 mana silence your minions, drawing a card & giving your opponent a wish, or summoning a corrupted egg). Because of the range of possibilities, it would essentially even out. Please note that this isn't exact, because hero powers like deal 30 damage (emperor thaurissan) wouldn't be included. Make a judgement call on what hero powers would be included in this hypothetical card, and what wouldn't. Anyways, the hope was that dead content could be restored to some extent.
My idea for the week. While it works with
Genn Greymane
, buffing the cheaper Hero Power, it also comes at a cost, as you risk discarding valuable minions in exchange for cheap spells. However, it could also work with
Lakkari Sacrifice
, ramping up the discard count, or with
Cruel Dinomance
r, giving you more options for your discard pool. It could also open the door to more cards like
Silverware Golem
, that could be summoned straight away, just by using the Hero Power.
Did ya relly tink you could'ave such powa for freh, mon?"
Great power always comes at a price. In this case, blood! Play 10
Deathrattle
cards will cost a total of 55 health, so you better prepare to pay the price :) It could steamroll in the early to mid-game, but if the opponent manage to stabilize, you could be in some serious trouble, as your Deathrattle cards cost more and more. And
Awaken the Makers
will not be around forever (in Standard, ofc :)
In a nutshell, this card makes you cast
Tracking
instead of drawing at the beginning of your turn, which helps you to make incredibly optimal plays at the cost of burning your deck really quick. To add insult to injury, you will die once your deck is empty.
However, being a card Rogue, you can synergize it with several "shuffle" effects, specially
Academic Espionage
.
Flavor-wise, it follows the "character flaws" theme that
linkblade91
's examples had. In this case, the flaw would be obsession, represented by Maiev Shadowsong.
So if Trials are to Genn what Quests are to Baku, why not design a card that further supports the classes that would rather have a (1) cost Hero Power rather than an Upgraded one? Evenlock was the easy pick. And what support does Evenlock need? Well, all its super star cards are on the higher end, and without cards like
Voidlord
, their survivability relies on cards like
Sunfury Protector
or
Vulgar Homunculus
. By bargaining with the Burning Legion, you cut the middle man, and you start with Taunt already on your
Mountain Giant
s and your 6+ Health
Twilight Drake
s.
Of course, in Warlock more than anything, power comes at a price: Soul Tap now deals
5
damage to your Hero on use (in two separate increments), and the downside lasts even with you play
Bloodreaver Gul'dan
. And since the
Burden
acts as a separate source of damage, it won't trigger Siphon Life's Lifedrinker effect, so your Hero Power becomes just straight "Deal 3 damage." Still good, but you loose that late game survivability and certainty of victory.

"Do no harm" - Any priest other than Prophet Velen
Note: You can only get the upgraded version via Justicar Trueheart , as this is considered an even card, so Baku will not work.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
