Pretty bad, if it isn't discarded it's 4 mana deal 4 damage which is kind of bad considering soulfire, darkbomb, implosion. To make use of the discard mechanic, you have to have a card that discards in your deck, and this card, and then you have to draw them both at the same time, and then you have to hope you discard this card and not something else.
Have you ever played zoo with double doomguard? This happens all. the. time.
Basically, you play everything BUT your doomguard until your hand is empty or maybe 1 extra card, which is fairly easy to do because they are low cost minions. This allows you to get a more powerful doomguard out a turn EARLIER.
9 burst damage between turns 5-7 is completely possible and likely.
This can bring a resurgence of old school traditional zoo.
Doesn't seems like it will be played 3 random dmg isn't too good at 4 mana so playing it is kinda meh.. in zoo it's a dead card unless you get doomguard, I prefer to have a shredder instead though..
Would be a good finisher on aggro decks if it hit face instead of random.
Would replace double soulfire for one copy of this and soulfire if it was in that format.Maybe they shoul change this card's text or make it that you can choose the cards you discard. Then this card would be playable as a risky(as you can't aim it) 0 mana dark bomb.
Well, it's not good yet, but it has some potential. I don't think this effect is good enough on its own to spawn an archetype, but if there are multiple discard cards with effects and you can ensure a tempo swing on these discards, this guy will definitely have a home.
if you dont have anything to say, save your time ;)
Well are you Jaraxxus's lawer? save yours instead and don't quote people's personal opinions :) or you cannot see the obvious that Warlocks need more cards that interact with the discard mechanic for this card to be viable!
Wilfred is bad because even with handlock there is only 14/30 chance to get a good card and the new demon is bad because zoo is about board control so 4 attack doesnt really matter. lets hope that there is at least 1 solid card for warlock at this expansion.
This card is not an auto include in zoo because it's a 4 mana card which introduces a larger chance of a bad curve and inefficient direct damage isn't hugely valuable in aggro decks. That said the upside is large enough that it will definitely be worth trying (adding to your burst in a way similar to old soulfire). I can see it being tried instead of other mid-high drops (loatheb etc.).
I like the concept of this card a lot, and I think that card is good and balanced, but i simply hate this kind of ignorance with Archimonde on a card that have Jaraxxus in name, like they started to doing it on purpose, just to irritate fans of WarCraft.
I don't know, if you ran this in a low curve zoo deck that runs doomguards and soulfires there's actually a decent chance of this procing. by like turn 7 in zoo youre out of cards and play your doomguard on an empty hand so it discards nothing. I could honestly see this working. Not amazingly well but amusingly well.
I think this is a card that is hard to judge until we actually really play with it. Since there is no guarantee this is the card getting discarded, or that you'll have it in your hand with an enabler makes it kinda iffy, with the silver lining being you can simply play it worse case scenario. If it works with Fel Reaverr though I think this card has a solid chance seeing play.

But Zoolock already has better ways of producing 4 damage than relying on discard RNG.

It is a bit awkward isn't it. I like the idea of getting basically 4 mana free damage, but the RNG effect on (not just on the discard but also on where the damage is going) makes it perhaps a bit unreliable, perhaps too much so.

This card had the poteintial to be good if it was "Whenever you would discard a card, discard this card instead" in addition to the damage
Finally a tech card against those mill decks

Shouldn't this card do 3 damage? Because... you know. Jaraxxus does 3 damage with fists.
The artwork shows Archimonde.
Archimonde - 4 damage fists
Jaraxxus - 3 damage fists
Archimonde>Jaraxxus

Wilfred's home as well as this card is in Malygos deck.
The tempo/value of Succubus is now unreal
...Interesting, probably can't cut it for implosion from zoo or demonlock but I like the discard mechanic being added.

Doesn't seem very good, even with the discard caveat.

Fun card. I've seen many versions of this mechanic on the fan forum. Should make folks happy.
