So, as i was saying, i need help with crafting a legendary. I am missing two legendaryes in this deck which are Astronomancer Solarian and Kalecgos. So my question is, wich one is better? =)))
I think both are crucial to the deck. Astromancer gives you the Prime that runs 5 random spells, but Kalecgos can let you play the Box for free that gives you 10 random spells. Even better it can let you discover another box and get 20 random spells this way! The goal of the deck is to win by an overwhelming amount of random and Kalecgos has more potential on that front ;)
I think it's better to save your dust for now, because both of them are nice additions, but certainly not a must-have. Maybe a good choice would be to wait a bit more and see how good Highlander Mage turns out to be after the meta stabilises after the patch. For now, I would go for Solarian, because he will be with us for the next two years, while Kalecgos is gonna rotate out this year.
Astromancer Solarian is just another one of the many RNG clown fiesta cards that Mage has. It's played mostly as a finisher but it can either be incredibly effective at that or whiff really hard. Kalecgos is a slow card but this is a Control deck so it's fine. He is very reliable and is a big threat that your opponent needs to answer or they risk losing the game on the spot. He is a dragon as well which is important to activate your Dragoncaster and Malygos, Aspect of Magic. He is way more important to the deck than Solarian. I'm playing the deck around Diamond 4-1 with a 69% wr (34/15) without Solarian.
Astromancer Solarian is a great card. The prime card usually clears your opponent's board or at least draws you cards. The fact that it can only target enemies is a big deal.
People recommending Solarian are forgetting a crucial thing here, already mentioned by samuellima, Kalecgos is a dragon and this deck already run too few of them. You usually wanna have at least 5 dragons for the cards that require them. Of course I'm assuming that, since your are considering Solarian, you are not running the dragon heavy version of the deck, that doesn't include it, so removing Kalecgos only leave you with 4 others for Arcane Breath, Dragoncaster and Malygos (and 3 for the last one since he doesn't activate from himself). HSreplays reset their stats after the last patch and I'm not sure how it was before, but Kalecgos is ahead of Solarian in WR percentage (although the difference is low) and I'm pretty sure that should have been the case before the patch.
Yep, that's what most people here (including me) had in mind. Both cards are very good and you have rebuild your deck a bit if you are not running Kalecgos. I personally tried out different variations of HL Mage, but it seems like the "Dragon Heavy" package that Blizzard recommends is by far the best, so it's the OP's choice, because both crafts he considers have their unique advantages. When it comes to sheer power I think Solarian is better, but you have to let him die and draw the Prime version first, while Kalecgos has a significant effect the moment you play him. Hard choice, that's why I recommend waiting untill the next expansion, when we will see in which direction HL Mage goes.
Also in wild Solarian is an important part of Reno Mage, while Kalecgos is usually not run there, but OP didn't mention wild so it's just a curio.
You can run a different dragon instead of kalecgos though. You can play an azure dragon, that's a pretty decent dragon that can get you another dragon when played (and so you can play it on curve comfortably and can get you kalecgos or another alexstraza). There isn't any replacement for the prime though.

Running a different dragon isn't the same as running Kalecgos. Azure Explorer isn't guaranteed to discover him and there many dragons that are simply not useful to the deck's game plan. There are no other cards like Solarian, but in my experience he isn't required for the deck to work. You could say the same for Kalecgos but the fact is: he is way more synergistic with the deck and improves it as a whole. On the other hand, Solarian is mostly just an unreliable finisher.

In my experience, Astromancer is far better.
Moreover, if you play standard only, astromancer is a far better investment since it will still be around for another rotation.

Thxxx! I think i will disenchant some more things and make them both!
Kalecgos. HL mage worked fairly well before Solarian, so thats my pick. Even tho both are good cards.

U can discover kalygos but not solarian.. so solarian.

Tickatus isn't fun or interactive

I can't afford it but when i have played against a highlander mage both cards are very important. So IMO I will save dust for both
