I play for fun in 20-10 ranks and don't care if I ever have all the cards to play Big Priest, wallet warrior, and some other meta decks. So I do craft golden legendaries that do more than just put themself on the board.
I crafted golden Patches the Pirate in MSG because every streamer said "he's a safe craft because there's no way in hell they aren't going to nerf him in a month" lol. Well, and his golden animation is one of the best in the game! The only other golden card I've ever crafted was a golden Wobbling Runts because that card was awesome and the golden animation for it rules. Plus, it was from an adventure so hardly anyone would ever have a gold copy. I was probably actually the only person in the world lol.
All nerfed cards because I wanted to play with shiny things for a week before dusting them for a full refund
Archbishop Benedictus because of the sick golden value as he steals a golden copy of your opponent's deck. Played it in hemmet Razakus priest. It really sucked when Raza got nerfed. Oh well
I regret not crafting a Bloodreaver Gul'dan. I have a plain copy now so crafting a golden one would be awkward. He summons a board of golden demons which deathrattles into more golden demons and you can stare at the golden portrait and hero power for the rest of the game. That's value!
Sylvannas and Ragnaros simultaneously when they were being transferred to HoF. Somewhat regret it since I could've had 2 legends in place of dusting other things to craft them.
Are you trolling? If not, I would love to hear the reasoning behind such an awkward choice (in any meta.)
I crafted Dr. Boom because he summoned golden minions, and saw a lot of play. I even thought he would be OP forever, but I got that wrong unfortunately...
1. Ragnaros the Firelord - right before he rotated to HoF (already had the normal version; also already had golden Sylvanas or would have crafted her as well)
2. Lyra the Sunshard - BEHOLD THE GLORY OF A NEW SUN! hadn't opened a golden leggy in forever (since the aforementioned golden Sylvanas way back during the TGT days) so i indulged myself in Lyra and...
5. Arfus - in honor of my beloved Brewster on the day i had to put him to sleep :(
haven't strongly considered crafting any golden from the last 2 sets, though I did give brief consideration to the first 2 WW legendaries I crafted, Shudderwock and Baku (moreso Baku, but since I saw that a golden class HP stayed golden even with a normal Baku, that made it easy enough to pass on that). also gave some consideration to making my most recent craft (Deathstalker Rexxar, as I've had every class golden except hunter for just over a year) golden for the golden Build-a-Beasts, but ultimately decided against it as well.

Ysera was first due to the golden dream cards.
Dr. Boom, Sylvanas Windrunner, Ragnaros the Firelord (both of these since dust was returned to me), Aya Blackpaw (since I opened some of the common jade golden cards), Bloodreaver Gul'dan, and just yesterday Deathstalker Rexxar. Don't regret any of them.

I never crafterd a golden legendary and probably never will, they cost too much dust.
Shadowreaper Anduin POGGERS
I've never crafted a golden card. I have had plenty in packs though. I think my last one was frost lich jaina... I dusted it.
I did really want a golden n'zoth though last year as it was a beautiful card.
Not 100% sure, but i guess i crafted a golden Sylvanas Windrunner first, Always wanted this card when i started playing xD
Bloodreaver Gul'Dan
Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
Hogger was first golden legendary that I crafted.

i have crafted 5 golden legendaries
3. Elise the Trailblazer - for the all-golden packs baby
4. Shadowreaper Anduin - crafted him gold before opening any KFT packs
5. Arfus - in honor of my beloved Brewster on the day i had to put him to sleep :(
