Getting a golden legendary from a pack is one thing... But crafting one is another!
Being F2P-ish, I personally haven't crafted any golden legendary (or epic, for that matter) though I missed that chance to craft a golden The Lich King because I was so hell-bent in crafting the a proper Big Priest deck (And no, I am not ashamed!).
I'm just wondering about which which legendary card made you disregard about the countless crap packs as long as you had to see it in GOLDEN? What made you craft it? In which deck did you use it in? Do you regret it? (optional)
The first golden legendary I crafted was Lord Jaraxxus . It was way back when he was still used in Reno Warlock. I earned the golden warlock portrait and was like ,, I am not gonna nerf my gold portrait to normal whenever I play this card! ,, . Plus in my opinion Jaraxxus is so much value for a golden legendary ( getting a golden minion on the board when summoned by Voidcaller or Krul the Unshackled , golden hero portrait when played , golden weapon , golden hero power and it's tokens )
I am kinda sad that it got completely replaced by Bloodreaver Gul'dan ( that I also crafted golden for similar reasons xD ) but I never regretted crafting it since I had so much fun with that Reno Warlock deck that I reached legend with it even if I already had the card back.
I have yet to craft a Golden Legendary, despite having played since Vanilla and not being F2P. I might someday, but for now I'll continue with the philosophy that doing as such is wasteful *shrugs* I can make one shiny card, or I could make 2+ cards with the excess dust I save not making them shiny...seems like a no-brainer to me.
Doesn't help that my favorite Golden Legendary card - Chillmaw - is not exactly a continual meta-champion :/
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Since I play only Standard, I craft/keep only Classic golden cards to build full golden deck someday. The first one was Leeroy Jenkins. Giving golden drakes to opponent feels so thug and kardashian...
I crafted Ragnaros for dust from Hall of Fame and DE him after ... also crafted Baku and Lord Godfrey because i opened every other warlock legendary golden expect him.
I don't craft golden legendaries. Feels too wasteful for me, I'd rather spread my dust over multiple cards so I can create more or better decks.
That being said, if I were to craft a golden legendary, it would most likely be a golden DK, especially for one of my golden portrait heroes. It bothers my OCD when my golden Jaina/Gul'dan/Uther/Anduin/Valeera tranforms into a non-golden version of themselves. Kowing myself, that would lead to a slippery slope of wanting my golden hero's weapon to be golden as well, so a golden kingsbane would probably be next. Then a golden quest to complete the truimvirate. Then I would become broke and have to sell my account. Without hearthstone, I would need to satisfy my gambling addiction with online gambling, and before you know it, I blow the rest of my savings flying to Vegas. One bad night later, I would find myself married to a Russian hooker with no recollection of how and why. Our marriage would be unhappy, but a bouncing baby boy would keep me going. Our marriage would break apart and she would get custody of the boy, so I turn to drugs to find happiness. At a young age of 35, I would die of a drug overdose. No one would show up to my funeral, since I pushed all my friends away through my gambling and drugs. I would be forgotten within a year, no trace of my presence being left behind, material or imaterial.
No, better not craft that golden Frost Lich Jaina.
Aluneth, but then I DE it 'cause the deck is too mindless XD

Disclaimer: I am not F2P, and my aim is to have a complete golden collection one day, so that's why I have decided to start from the classic legendaries.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
My first golden legendary craft was Archmage Antonidas. Back in the day, the game didn't have the little prompt that told you if a fireball was one that started in your deck or was created by another card, and since my fireballs were golden I didn't want my opponents to get free information.
Of course, they now have that little prompt so it's a bit of a waste, but nevermind. :)
A friend of mine and I startet about the same time playing hearthstone.
We both pursue different strategies regarding our collection. While I don't dust any legendary and try to be able to play as many classes as possible he dusts everything except the cards for his three main classes.
The dust he got from disechanting everything else he invests into golden cards. He now plays a golden quest warrior with golden quest, golden DK, golden gorehowl etc. He also used to play a big spell Mage with golden Jaina, golden mediev and a completely golden pirate warrior back in the days...
so when they nerfed cards like call to arms spiteful summoner dark pact possessed lackey that round of nerfs netted me over 8000 dust because i had gold versions and 40+ copies of the commons and 10+ of the rares etc so ... i crafted... THE ONE THE ONLY
I really wanna craft a golden ysera but she isnt as good in the meta game right now :( should i do it anyway ? alternatives would be lichking or anduin dk, but those one day will rotate to wild

Achieved Legend: S49-Even Paladin, S58 (Wild)- Odd Rouge + Even Shaman
My first golden craft was either Dr. Boom or Sneed's Old Shredder. Both got disenchanted later on, but now I want them back.

Also crafted golden tyrion, golden ragnaros lightlord, golden antonidas, golden warrior quest. Bling too good hahaha.
