If you recruit Ysera with this minion, does Ysera's effect trigger? If so, it may not be quite as bad as it seems, your opponent has to deal with it immediately or basically lose the game, and it provides a bit of insurance if there's a legendary dragon your deck is banking on getting out, but that dragon sometimes appears in the bottom of your deck.
I see a lot of hate for this card but it might be ok in big druid since it runs both deathwings, yasera and alex, primordial drake would be the low roll I suppose.
the extra 2/4 body might not be really worth much but it is a persistent effect kind of like y'sharj.
However comparing this to y'sharj this card does look pretty bad.

Still overcosted by at least 1 mana, but could have a very specific niche in a deck, maybe.
If Y’shaarj, rage unbound pulls ysera, her effect is not triggering. It seems safe to assume that also this will not allow other cards to trigger their end of turn effects.
its the second worst card in the expansion the only thing that prevents it from being the worst is the other recruit card that is even worst because its deathrattle required to trigger.
Even if you only include Ysera, Malygos and both Deathwings as Dragons into your deck, this will only summon one of them (without benefitting from Ysera's end of turn proc) and then it will be dead most of the times (ofc you could also include Primordial Drake and try to hide this behind it). But then for 9 mana, you could also just play one of these Dragons and free up a cardslot in your deck for better cards.
This is "bad", but it could see play in some fun and meme decks. But it will be way too unreliable to be played in any serious decks.
the card is actualy pretty good. Recruit is pretty valuable for big dragons (ysera or malygos), if you didn't manage to draw heavy dragon from your deck by the time this played.
4 hp is not so easy to remove, without ultimate aoe like Psychic Scream or Twisting Nether it's kinda hard to deal with. With this card you can put 2 must-kill targets on board simultaneously.
The card actualy seems like REAL GOOD. I think people underrate it a lot, i'll keep an eye on it.
Also, this card kinda good afterPsychic Scream, cuz you can put dragons shuffled to your decks back on board again.
I think this will be auto-include in decks with heavy dragons if there will be any. At least 1 copy....
The more I think about it, the more I actually like this card. A 9 mana 2/4 is bad... Except the effect is actually amazing. If this gets out an 8/8 or a 12/12, your opponent needs to kill two minions immediately or lose the game. Priest would need something like psychic scream or shadow word death and a shadow word pain, hard to do at turn 9. Mage needs a meteor and a ping, or a doomsayer/frost nova, but if you deal with the doomsayer you've basically won.
Even if you get out a primordial drake, that's a taunt which might protect your dragoncatcher. Point is, this is a must remove immediately card that can call out another must remove immediately card. That could have some hidden value.
After thinking about this card a lot, I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that this card is going to be insane, and is the most underrated card of the set, for one reason: a big dragon priest deck.
This card is actually insane when pulled off of barnes or shadow essence, and you can have two of them in deck. This card, ysera, both deathwings, malygos, maybe even primordial drake if you run silence effects in your deck, can be amazing pulls for 4 or 6 mana. Dealing with this card and a full dragon on turn 4 or turn 6 is really hard to do (if pulled from shadow essense, its a 5/5 that recruits a dragon every turn for 6 mana, which is insane), and has crazy snowball potential. The deck could even run an inner fire/divine spirit combo for quick kills, given that dragons have so much health. Nethersprite historian can maybe be used to pull out smaller dragons for earlier turn plays if your combo doesn't work out, and the rest of the deck can be removal. Once one of these guys die, getting it off of eternal servitude is also pretty great.
This is probably a subpar 9 mana play, but might be really good with barnes and shadow essense.

Feels like you'd prefer Y'sharrj for that. What does this do that he doesn't, other than not rotate at the same time? Or are there non-dragons you might run but not want to cheat out? Ysera from this feels bad in that you don't get the first trigger, though she is hard to kill along with the summoner fellow.
You could run all three and give yourself better odds of pulling out something good, and running more threats? The fact that you can run two dragoncatchers gives you better chances of pulling it out. This deck concept is very top heavy right now, and might be relying on getting barnes on 4 too much, but I think there's something there.
It's a 9 mana 2/4 and it doesn't win the game on the spot.
Perfect synergy with King Togwaggle
An extra 2/4 on top of Ysera......maybe? But then you lose Ysera's card.
This is pretty weak.

Best artwork imho. Other than that - 100 Dust

9 mana is just ridicolous. It's amazing how can they print garbage like that as Epic and then Bonemare is just Common.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
Epic...not.

Definitely my favorite card art.....too bad it probably won’t be played and therefore I won’t ever get to use it 😫

This solely exists to kinda ruin Spitefull Summoner midrange Hunter...since cotw is 9 mana, maybe i should put in ysera just for that case xD
