Definitely playable in arena. While it is similar to Mirror Entity you don't get the minion on the board right away, so it doesn't disrupt your opponent's tempo plays. Also playing around it is a little different, since cards like Bomb Squad that you could throw at a Mirror Entity without fear are a bit more problematic when you could be giving your opponent more ammunition with Frost Clone. So while it isn't hugely innovative it will be a useful addition to the Mage's arena arsenal. And it is common (of course, what else for the Mage), so you'll get to see it a lot.
I see many people saying this is a "worse" Duplicate. Duplicate is a very situational card. You have to be in a position on board where you force your opponent to trade with the minion you want copies of. If your opponent has identified the secret as duplicate and are not under significant pressure, they will just never trade.
Even when I'm playing control, if my opponent is sitting there with a secret up and a Kazakus on board, I will just ignore it and force them to trade.
Hence, Frost Clone is not always a worse Duplicate. They're quite different because Frost Clone cannot be played around as heavily as Duplicate.
I would love to get 2 Swashburglar or Babbling Brook or Stonehill Defender or even Doomsayer from this secret. Way better and harder to play around than Mirror entity
When evaluating this card you need to have in mind that they will play around this card in the same way that they play around Mirror Entity giving you, most likely, two copies of the worst minion they have in hand.

If you are playing against aggro, the cheap minions will come in handy. If you are playing against control, their cheap minions probably have a useful battecry
I think is better than Mirror, have 2 babbling books in hand is much better than one in board and is the kind of minion opponent play when see a secret.
Nice. If you want to lose games with crapy secrets it is.
It is bad tempo but not bad value, no one run bad minions and get 2 of them is good enough for 3 manas, even weak minions with good battlecrys do the job, much worse is mirror many times giving you 1/1 or 2/2 and nothing more.
People already play around Mirrior Entity and now Polymorph potion. So you don't expect to get amazing creatures from this. That being said the fact that you get them in your hand does allow you to take advantage of battlecry's and what not. Even if it is just Alleycat it ends up being better than mirrior entity-ing alley cat 99% of the time.
I really hate facing mage... this card is broken. give us a proper eter of secrets that not only brake the spell, I want a eater of secrets that give the spell to the opponent. Now that would be something.
I think secret mage will play one, as that deck easily runs out of cards and every minion that is played in a constructed deck either offers a strong body on board, tempo or value.
people forget that you still have to play the minions from your hand, which means that each minion costs 1,5 mana more. So for this spell to be good, your opponent has to give you a card that is still good after a 1,5 mana cost increase. This card is closer to Thoughtsteal, but worse since your opponent gets to give you a card. Thoughtsteal rarely sees any play, this card will not see any play. Why not play Arcane Intellect, and get 2 cards you (hopefully) know are good?
You missing a point.
If priest have a 2 mana 2/3 draw Thoughtsteal from your deck and a 3 manas 4/3 play Thoughtsteal for 0, or 5/5 with cost reduction the card see much more play, the secrets itself, except Ice Block, don't good enough but having minions with good sinergy with them increase the value.

Yay, I like this card a lot! Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Its a fair value secret... for the late game... but not great and easily played around... like the 3rd worst mage secret.
Now I just want to see a 4 Mana 2/2 "Put a random Mage secret in play" for some interesting turns!
If your opponent "plays around it," he has actually played into it by spending his mana on a bad minion.
Also, sometimes you just don't have a bad minion to use as a test.

Making even more dumb secrets? Mage gets broken ass cards every expansion

Should be pretty awesome in Arena, right?

Strong when you get value, but can also be a horrible burden if played around. Cool card.

Definitely not a tempo card. Definitely not as good as duplicate. And yet, seems good still.
i dont even run mirror in my secrets giants mage cause it is always played around
this wont see play, you will get fireflys that you still have to pay for to play
