Abysmal. When divine shield minions aren't played already with paladin other than Wickerflame and Tirion because of their standalone power ability, I don't see this card being strong enough to push Diving Shield Paladin as an archetype
amazing combo with blood knight if you can get that off +5/+3 stats per shield. But other than that it will need some more support to get itself going as top tier deck
Apparently the name has it...I have been experimenting(100+ matches) with paladin running divine shield minions ( I even run Moroes as he has really nice synergy with the deck) but this is not something that I would want to run in the deck. It costs too much and you basically have to sacrifice the protection of at least 2 (usually lower cost)minions for him to be worth it while you have to spent five mana to put him on the board. So not only will your minions that lost their divine shield be more susceptible to AOE but he could get transformed or simply hard removed. Sure, divine shield helps but why would someone bother including this card when other classes got far more solid 5 drops with one less health and a solid 5 attack(let's just not mention their far superior effects) for reasons other than the memes and the shenanigans?
"Most believe there are two types of people who go into a crucible. The ones who become stronger from the experience and survive it, and the ones who die. But there's a third type. The ones who learn to love the fire" - Sebastian Blood
Now, you have a Bolvar, Fireblood with 9/7 ready to atack and a Blood Knight with 15/15 waiting next turn to attack.
After bashing this card (my initial thoughts), now I will wait for the rest of the set to be launched to avaliate this card. At least, this looks playable. The fact that he gain 2 attack when he loses his own divine shield is what saves this card.

Trash tier

I would rather include Sunkeeper Tarim in case it is not already in the deck(I personally don't own the card yet) or another copy of Lightfused Stegodon or simply a Blessing of Kings.
So you thought only Mage had an exodia combo eh
It's just a win more card. If you draw this with nothing on the board it doesn't do much...
this has to push Quest paladin and adapt mechanic...buffing minions with divine shield somehow? Maybe even original Bolvar can find its place?
It's you Kratos?
Anyway, a great art in a bad card.
Who goes thar?!
*cannon shooting sound*
I'm in charge now!
Why do team 5 hate Bolvar ??
Bolvar deserves better

Thanks to god finally a bad Paladin legendary seriously while all other classes gets constantly bad legendaries paladin got very good ones.
The legendarys of this expansion is so bad Team 5 feels guilt and make the no duplicate legendarys from packs...
Best case (and feasible) scenario:
You play Bolvar, Fireblood and another card/hero power on turn 8.
On turn 9 (pray for Bolvar dont be removed in opponent's turn), you play Steward of Darkshire + Lost in the Jungle + Hero Power... and then you play Blood Knight
Now, you have a Bolvar, Fireblood with 9/7 ready to atack and a Blood Knight with 15/15 waiting next turn to attack.

If they give a spell to paladin like give all your minions divine shield for 2 mana I will quit this game!
Divine Shield Paladin actually does OK in Wild.
It's going to need a lot more support to survive in Standard.
"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
Why Blizzard? Why??????
Bolvar will never ever be good unfortunately. I like that they are printing divine shield synergy cards though
Would have had potential if it had said "double its attack" instead of +2 attack. Or if the effect triggered if it was in your hand.
But it sucks. It sucks badly.
It's almost good enough because the 4-5-6 curve is so strong (Corpsetaker, Bolvar, Spikeridge).
If there is some additional (playable) support, I could see this being a thing. [Playable does not include that weapon. It seems like hot garbage.]
sadly this art is too good to a bad card
For sure will see play, too annoying to deal with and too easy to snowball, another legendary powercreep for paladin.
