I woulden't write this card off yet. This card will only require a few more divine shield minion's to be playable.
This card requires a fast deck. And Divine Shield compliments that very well. This card only needs one trigger, to be pretty good. And after that. It's busted.
With the new Corpsetaker that curves perfectly into this card. Then i would think that paladin only needs 1 or 2 more decent divine shields to make this good.
On the notice of Corpsetaker. You would already be playing Wickerflame in the deck. So you don't have to put bad cards into your deck. And a 4 mana 3/3 Divine Shield, Taunt, Lifesteal minion is nothing to fond about. You could even put 1x Young Dragonhawk in the deck to make them insane.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Pretty good, but not a game changer like Sunkeeper or Tirion. Can sometimes come out as a 3/7 in the right deck, which makes it a big threat, but even alone it can't be ignored or it will grow fast. Plus, the 5-drop slot isn't very crowded in Midrange Paladin (right now).
Pretty sure I wouldn't even put this card in a divine shield heavy deck, which should tell you how bad i find it.
Let me spell it out for you. You need to play 2 divine shielded minions, and have them lose their DS with this in play to even make this have more than 4/7 stats, which is the vanilla standard for 5 mana cards right now(Nesting Roc).
This is without taking into account that it is a 5 mana non aggressive card, and divine shield heavy decks would likely be tilted towards aggro.
Interesting card, paladin is always searching for good 5 drops. If the sinergy will be there this card will generate a ton of friction being a 7 health divine shield that one should kill before even trading with other minions, if not this card will be just a niche tech, easily replaced with a more reliable card.
At first I thought it was really bad, but actually it may see some play in a curved Midrange Paladin, specially with revealing of Corpsetaker alongside Bolvar. Underwhelming, but playable.
Dangit Blizz, if this effect worked while it was in your hand like the current live Bolvar, it'd actually be pretty good. But while it's on the board only? Not really.
And you keep doing it to one of my favorite Warcraft characters too...
Hmmm The art is fantastic but the effect is...lackluster. I dunno how you could make a divine shield deck work, especially since the wording makes it sound like it has to be in the field of play when the shield goes down. having multiple minions with divine shield up, dropping this guy with them, and then hoping they pop them and don't kill him...yeah that's a stretch. I'd dust it.

Wouldn't this card work well with Steward of Darkshire, Rallying Blade, Lost in the Jungle, Blood Knight?
This looks really bad at face value.
But then again Paladin is full of really strong class legendaries at the moment, so its not really a big loss.
Yeah, Bubble Paladin is the same great idea as DiscardLock...

Yay now we have 2 terrible bolvar legendaries two is better than 1
Seems like Blizzard is gonna push Freeze Shaman [lol] they're also gonna push 'lose Divine Shield' Paladin.
At least the latter has preexisting cards that can be viable support that are not Frost Shock

Makes me think the paladin death knight hero card might involve divine shield......

Add a taunt and maybe...
if his skill would work from the hand too =OP
This way? Tragic...

Not worthy of being a legendary, imo. Maybe if it took away enemy divine shield as well.
Nobody plays Gurubashi Berserker...
He's much, much better than people are giving him credit for, but I wouldn't be surprised if he still failed to make it into the meta.
It's really going to depend on how good divine shield paladin is.
You pay, I protect. ;)
Needs to also have Taunt to be playable in constructed. As is, the Bolvar meme just lives on. Bad card.
