Interesting idea, but it is only effective against aggressive or spell-heavy decks. It would have been much better if the cost of the random minion was capped to 4 or something. Still I think it could maybe see play as a tech choice in CW with Elise if the meta was ever very aggressive. Given the additions so far, however, it seems like that is unlikely. Also it has pretty good synergy with AOEs forcing opponents to overcommit which could be very good with Brawl or even Twisting Nether. Pretty good against minion-based combos too. However, I still think that that is not enough to make it more than a tech card.
I might be wrong since this is kinda hard to predict, but I believe this won't see any play.
You can't compare it to Deathlord, since it is a Battlecry and no Deathrattle attached to a 8-health minion. Therefore, it is just giving your opponent a lot of momentum, since whatever gets summoned, it basically has charge on your opponents turn. Also, I assume that the average minion summoned will be somewhere around 3 and 4 mana. On top of that, don't forget the charge your opponents minion will basically have unless you immediately can clear it, which is unlikely by turn 2, and you don't really want to play this thing later.
I really want to say this card is good because it is interesting, but I realized that -ON TURN 2- there are some decks where you do not want to play this guy. Shaman being a big one, as he may keep a Thing from Below to come out after his Tunnel Trogg into Totem Golem shenanigans. In addition, pulling Malygos without Entomb is just as bad as having the combo ready. Most control decks might get a little pissy, but it might not matter all that much what is pulled. You might pull an aggro minion but if it has 3 health, the rat can't kill it anyway.

This card make very easy to use the new 4/5 taunt, and really is the best for Brawl, you don't only clear the board with the chance only your minion survive but destroy a minion in hand of opponent.
This is a 3class card for Paladin, Warrior and Hunter !
Huh? No. There's logo under the mana cost.

Just because Dirty Rat is a member of the Grimestreet Gang doesn't mean he's a tri-class card. There's only 9 tri-class cards and we already know what they are. We just haven't seen Don Han'Cho revealed yet.
Yep i think we need clarification - that summon a copy of minion,or actual minion from hand.
If i remember well, blizz devs told that they dont want to create cards that mess with your opponent hand, that's why they reworked Illidan Stormrage into..."something" .
Previously:Battlecry: Both players discard 3 cards and draw 3 cards. [7 mana, 7 attack, 7 health, Legendary][1]
StandardNezzi spotted this piece on the official Hearthpwn page of the reveal: "Dirty Rat is great at preventing Battlecry effects which means Kazakus, leader of The Kabal, is going to cry." Preventing the battlecry means the minion is moved from hand to the board.
This card can be strong but whoever say that this is better than deathlord is out of his mind imho. Deathlord is stronger because it has synergy with the two classes that used it the most in contructed, priest and warrior. Priest can buff him so when it fall they have a counter ready, and warrior can drop it when they can successfully shield slam an high threat that may pop from opponent's deck. Also they can't attack they turn deathlord is killed (very relevant). This card gives your opponent a potential late game threat that end up in their hand after the mulligan. Even a totem golem for free could be quite relevant (example). And it can attack the very next turn.
Deathlord can backfire? This can potentially backfire much more. Imagine playing this on 2 and your oppo get malygos/emperor/antonidas/savannah highmane. The value...
Oh and 2 less health.
It is possible, but only will happen a lot if many of decks start using this card and keep a big minion in starting hand become a good strategy.
I think this is very good! If you summon a small minion for your opponent then no big deal. If you summon one of their key minions like Malygos or Emperor Thaurissan you should be ready to deal with it and get rid of it without letting the opponent ever use it.
This is a really cool mechanic and something that's gets me quite excited about the expansion. Vs fast decks the minion they get will very likely be worth it due to being a 6 health taunt.
Vs Combo you can pull out an important combo piece later in the game with hard removal in hand. It rewards players for reading your opponents hand and knowledge of what decks are being played.
Still it is fairly situational so you would likely only want 1 copy unless you were running something like a heavy removal Priest deck.
Works really well with Shaman/Mage decks also due to polymorph effects.
If this card becomes a thing Ancestral druid approves!
PS: I see this card as anti tempo or anti combo tech. Play mid late game when you have the tools to remove/ deal with whatever it pulls from your opponents hand could wreck them instantly. I don't see this card as a T1/2 drop since you create tempo for your opponent.
It's a very well designed card with a niche - love it personally.

I say, it sucks.

It will take that one minion out of their hand and put it into play. Think Doomguard with 1 card. Still activates. Also, GG N'Zoth, the Corruptor, C'Thun, Reno Jackson or Kazakus if you pull one of the them lol.

TL;DR: I am skeptical.
This is a good card to play in the later turns when you can play it and then use removal
play this .... a savanah highmane comes out ...... well played .... you have bested me .... i will hunt you down!
Control-heavy meta, here we come! At least until 2017.
Shanking ankles since 2015.
Dirty Rat is a part of the Grimy Goons and they aren't too happy with The Kabal.

Looks like that second copy of Sap is going in for certain.
Nature is the Day.
Man is the Sun.
Woman is the Moon.
The Stone is the Sky.
The Art is the Way.
Big difference between a 2 attack and 3 attack comparing to deathlord.
