Say want you want about Malchezaar's viability in ranked or how he affects your mana curve, 5 extra legendaries is an amazing thing to have if you get the opportunity to play them. But! I think that a Golden Malchezaar will be one of the most sought after cards at this point, I know that i'm going to be dusting as many cards as I possibly can to help make that dream come true. Because getting one golden legendary by chance is hard, but getting six golden legendaries for the price or one sounds awesome.

I could never understand the mad men that craft golden cards. You're absolutely crazy
The OP is planning to craft GOLDENPrince Malchezaar and you think that the craziest thing is that people like golden cards?
Malchezaar is what Games Developers call a "Skill Tester" card. It is designed to look strong to poor players while the more experienced player will correctly deduce that it is just bad.
The fact that this argument still rages post-release highlights what a marvellous job Blizzard did when designing this Skill Tester!

... Well now you make me feel bad for even using the card.

I would call it a noob bait
I just like the RNG chance and it's inclusion hasn't really messed up any of my deck synergy or combos. I lose just as often as I do with Malchezaar then without.
If you don't have the dust to spare don't do it, it's not worth the investment.
I crafted one and is fun, but that's all, it looks nicer but let's be honest, PM isn't a card that will be competitive any time soon.
Also don't let people call you names for wanting to play or do something, they are just in need of feeing better about themselves, do what you like and play how you like! It's a game after all, keep in check the things that really matter and don't listen to people trying to tell you how wrong you are at a video game.
I think Blizzard will get fed up with the complaints about aggro so they will slow the meta down but accidentally slow it down too much to the point where it's a fatigue meta and everyone without Prince Malchezzar will lose a lot because they can't keep up. Or maybe Malchezzar is just a fun card, but regardless, I like golden animation.
Well, I'm guilty of crafting a golden Sneed's because I thought it was cool that it dropped golden Legendaries. At least it turned out to be a decent card that I still use in deathrattle Wild decks. Fortunately I actually opened a golden Confessor from a pack so I wasn't tempted to craft a golden class Legendary. And then, as if RNGesus was shining on me I later opened a golden Shifter from a pack.
That all said, to create a golden Legendary from an Adventure -- when you already have the card -- well I guess I can't criticize if you really have the dust to spare. Personally I'm already saving dust and gold for the next expansion.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
I think Common cards are among the best to craft as gold. It's relatively cheap (400 dust) and some of them offer great golden value.
For example, Netherspite Historian has a high chance of offering a gold legendary as there aren't that many dragons and near half of them are legendary quality. Superb value.
Overall, cards that generate more (like Malchezaar) make excellent golding targets.
I agree with that sentiment, I actually made 2 golden Netherspite Historians to put in my dragon Paladin deck and I like them a lot so far. My goal is to craft golden versions of everything that gives you bonus cards, like Renounce Darkness and A Journey Below
It's a pretty bad card but I crafted golden Prince Malchezaar anyway, I enjoy having random cards thrown in my deck and trying to make it work, it's fun for me. My other golden legendaries are Ysera and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, simply because all 3 produce multiple other golden cards, and I want my golden value.
Lol @ all the people calling it a noob trap as if that validates their own skill.
The card is meant to be played for fun. I for one have had a lot of fun playing the card. If this game was 100% about skill and had no RNG (to a realistic extent), Firebat wouldn't have won the first world championship. That said, Firebat is a great player, but how many games have you all played where RNG has completely effected the outcome of the game?
If someone wants to craft a golden Prince Malchezaar, let them do it. They're not a noob or an idiot for that. It would probably make anyone who he faces's day just to see it. I personally still have some legendaries to craft/recraft so I'm not focusing on goldens yet, but if I had the dust, I'd totally consider him as one of the first to craft, after some of the Classic ones I don't have (currently the Tirion Fordring I got forever ago and the Leeroy Jenkins that I just got will have to do).
Anyway, good on you Spider, you've clearly got more balls than most of us.
I crafted a golden Paletress the other day, and while control priest isn't anywhere near the top, every single legendary I've gotten from her has been Rag-tier.
I think there's some hidden bonus RNG here.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.

My 6 golden legendaries I will get are as follows:
Nat Pagle
Lorewalker Cho
Millhouse Manastorm
Hogger
Nat, the Darkfisher
And of course
Prince Malchezaar
Well at least they are golden! ;)
Rasengan!!!
Oh come on dude. Renounce Darkness
get TWENTY-NINE golden cards for the price of one legendary
or Elise Starseeker
That's... actually a really good idea. You've made me rethink my entire plan sir, thank you.
Haha this card is like a tax on stupid people. Keep playing those Hemet Nesingwarys, Captain Greenskin and unwarranted Finley Mrrggltons

People who wanna craft it golden will do so anyway.
Those who won't think the first group is just crazy, no matter what.
This thread isn't going any further, you know. :P

Wow... thanks man, that's like the nicest feedback i've heard on this site and it really helps me put things into perspective.
