There is not a chance in hell that Innervate gets nerfed like that - it's fundamental to the identity of the class and nerfing it like that would pretty much cull an entire playstyle instantly. They're not worried about Ramp Druid, they're worried about Combo Druid (if anything they want people playing the former I imagine).
Likewise Ancient of Lore, won't be touched.
I'm hoping that Blizz learn from past mistakes and don't nerf into the ground. Usually something as small as an extra mana cost is enough to completely change a card from overpowered to just a good solid card.
Since they pretty much confirmed that they are looking at KotG and AoL. I feel like saying the correct nerf on Lore would be to make him 8 mana. I would still easily play him and he wouldnt be OP. I doubt theyre gonna do that though, since it messes up the lore (pun almost intended) as AoW and AoL are supposed to have equal power
Im pretty scared when it comes to the KotG. I think they will hit him to oblivion, and that would be a pretty big blow for any druid deck.
I really hope most of this isn't the case. It's not like Ramp Druid as an archetype is dominating the meta - Combo Druid is literally the only majorly run and succesful Druid deck... Ancient of Lore and Keeper do not need touching. Too much done here and Druid is going to become the weakest class in the game.
any part of druid combo being nerfed slightly is fine by me and all other nerfs can be argued on.... as long as they decimate Divine Favor and burn it in all layers of hell and throwing its ashes to the endless pits of abyss in which the void will swallow every tiny bit of its existence for eternity. :)
On Innervate [/card] and [card]Ancient of Lore, the reason I suspect they could be nerfed is that there's no reason to ever not include them in your deck. They are THAT good. And that's clearly not what Blizzard want.
They definitely won't change Dark Peddler, which means either another 8 months of 4x Power Overwhelming in its current state, or they will nerf the card. Even before Dark Peddler it was being abused pretty well (ie. Void Terror, Voidcaller to pull out your big demons, even using it on Sylvanas to steal minions), the Peddler has just made it much more obvious.

BB has already discussed "cards that are in every deck" - there are about three dozen cards from the vanilla set, like Frostbolt, Fiery War Axe, Eviscerate . . . you know them all. BB explained that it is fine having cards like that when they are used in many different kinds of deck. There are different kinds of Warrior deck, and they all use FWA. No problem. The source is either the Polygon article, or the story from PCGamer, if you are interested.
Liquid Hearth ran an interview with Blizzard designers about a month ago - it was mentioned that nerfing Innervate and/or Wild Growth wasn't something they were looking into. It was implied that ramping was the "soul of the class" or words to that effect. Nerfing both the combo, and the ability to ramp would presumably be too much in one go. Both BB and Donais have said several times that this isn't the final nerf for the vanilla set, and each year with the Standard rotation, the vanilla set will be revisited.
FWIW - I understood BB's remarks regarding BGH and Owl to imply that they weren't going to be nerfed, but simply removed from the vanilla set. Presumably, they would be playable in Wild, unchanged. I think it's a great idea, but I guess plenty would disagree. In any event, we'll find out in a couple days, during the livestream.

Thanks! I hadn't seen that PCGamer info.... I'd heard that Innervate was being looked at which is why I figured they'd nerf it... I'd be happy for them not to... it's a risk/reward play.
I don't think they'll have cards in the classic set be available in one mode but not in the other, that feels very confusing. I actually read his comments as meaning they will just completely change the card text (or remove altogether?) on those two cards. My guess on BGH is almost certainly wrong in that case because it's too complicated, while the Ironbeak Owl will presumably no longer have silence at all.
Not all that many cards will be nerfed. Only a few which are absolute staples in every deck (Ironbeak and BGH). They're historically pretty conservative on balance. Spellbreaker and Keeper probably won't get touched.
The key problem cards are Ironbeak, BGH, Leper and Knife Juggler. FoN/Savage Roar combo is arguably too strong. It's probable one combo piece will be nerfed.
Oi m8, nice achievment thread, let me help you with this comment.

Do you ever cook something in the microwave but it's still really cold in the middle and you just keep eating it instead of heating it longer because life is pointless and entropy is unavoidable and the universe is filled with callous and casual destruction.
That's a lot of predictions you've got there, m8. They do look truthful, but let's just wait until the rotation finally arrives, shall we not?
... ?

Force of Nature: Cost 6: Summon 3 2/2 Treants with charge that die when they are summoned. :)

Warsong Commander style? That would be something like
Force of Nature: Cost 6, Summon three 2/2 Treants that die at the end of the turn...
C'mon Blizz, release those nerfs already before we have another of these threads every day for the next week.
I am down with all of these. Well done and here's hoping.

So Ironbeak Owl and Big Game Hunter all-but confirmed as being nerfed by Ben Brode.

I took his words as BGH and owl just being removed from classic / standard as well. Just seemed like what was implied.
Maybe we'll see a new set called 'the time-out corner' for cards such as those to go >.>
those are the cards YOU want to get nerfed lolz

Antonidas also may get reworked
Thank god OP doesn't work at blizzard.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
