Even after the inevitable Rogue and Warrior card nerfs, Harrison will still be a huge boon to most decks. It will never not be a key card against half of the classes, including two of the best decks in Standard. It is so versatile and valuable. A 5/4 body is nothing to scoff at and if he destroys a weapon and draws even one card it is hard to justify it not being in every single non-hyperaggro deck. Forget Waggle Pick - imagine forcing a Warrior to play Weapons Project or Supercollider while you have Harrison on curve. Nearly every Standard deck - even weapon decks themselves - will be better off running this card until we see more powerful decks later on this year.
Will Harrison Jones wind up getting HoF'd? Or is he the safest craft ever? I'm interested to see how good he will continue to be after the upcoming nerfs.
But seriously, he's a pretty safe craft. I don't think weapon removal would limit design space to the point of forcing him to rotate. Ooze is a basic card after all.
I think weapon removal is a nice psychological cushion that makes the weapon remover feel good. A legendary classic card like this works great for people who just feel like they have to remove a weapon, plus you get the nice board presence with a card draw. The reality is that this card does not really do much in most matches. I use several decks with weapons and the weapons are important in my game strategy, but destroying my weapon is not a huge hairy deal. I can still win the game even if you remove my weapon. So, Harrison fans, have fun with your favorite weapon remover. Swamp Ooze can't match him because of the card draw, but just like Harrison, Swamp Ooze typically dies on the next turn, like just about every frigging minion in this game.
I mean why would you HOF'ing a tech card? OMEGALUL
Did you see Loatheb, Skulking Geist, Owl, Dirty Rat getting HOF'ed? Of course not. They are meant to counter specific decks and it's healthy for the game.
Why spending 1600 dust when you can generate an even better Tempo swing with a basic card like Acidic Swamp Ooze?
Harrison generates (much) more Value, but in general HS, Tempo > Value.
I mean, surely you can still make good swings with him, but he's not gonna be a must-craft or staple for the average player/deck, as long as we have Acidic Swamp Ooze as it is.
Surely i can't see why he should ever be HoFed (and even then, you get full refund).

You mean removing that Waggle Pick and forcing one of their minions back to hand and stopping the Leeroy combo or removing charges on a bomb warriors weapon or removing a warriors AOE weapon isn't that punishing?
It's literally game winning to remove weapons in the current meta. It doesn't matter if the minion dies the next turn, it's done it's job.

I crafted him for this meta specifically and have not been disappointed. Plus is classic, so it’s a great investment.
The stats are roughly that of a chill wind yeti with a one cost increase and a conditional battle cry. Harrison is the perennial tech card.
Weapons project will rotate out eventually and Harrison will go back to a more risky tech card that’s a tempo loss when the battle cry doesn’t hit.

I think he belongs in a museum.

why would a tech card get hall of famed LOL
Harrison’ing that waggle pick feels so good. Murders their tempo.
Insert Acidic Swamp Ooze here.
Can we pause for a minute and laugh at this.

The "problem" with Harrison Jones is he's a legendary.

Harrison Jones is as safe a craft as Zilliax is, which is to say he's very safe.

lol at ppl crafting classic cards in 2019
No nerfs will come, Hunter is the top class atm in terms of overall winrate!
Harrison will not be HoFed either, but he will continue to make strong appearences whenever the meta calls for it.

Harrison Jones is one of the best-designed legendary cards in the Classic set.
Without cards like Harrison, weapons are way, way, way too powerful.
So no, it will not get nerfed or removed from Standard.
