I've used Water Rogue for the past few meta's and have had wild success with it. But I've never seen another soul using it! (besides the great guy who showed it to me c: ). My question is, why isn't the deck getting much love or spotlight on Hearthpwn?
Its a really fun deck with high win-rate against almost everything in this current meta... do people just not know about it? Orrrr ... beats me.
If you do use Water Rogue then give me a holla~ and tell me how your experience is turning out. :) In my own experience, people always friend me after games saying "wow! you weren't using quest rogue!" or "wow what an interesting deck man, gg." Something along those lines, and its the best feeling a rogue can have. Having a deck that feels almost original and very fun and viable is the best thing I've experienced with hearthstone so far. I highly recommend to anyone who sees this thread, to try out Water Rogue. Sincerely. I want you to! While the dust cost is rather discouraging... its a fun deck to experience if you have the right tools.
Also, I'm curious to see whether or not you've ever played against a Water Rogue in this meta. Let me know in the poll!
Have a great day!
P.s. I've been spreading around this link a bit over forums today, its a great laugh if you want it. This face druid didn't trade when he should have and got severely punished for it! x) ~ https://hsreplay.net/replay/neYk4jsiqeAEwhgCqbEVpD
Honestly might be because it is a 11.6k dust deck. I haven't crafted anything and I have only 5k to spare.
awesome thanks for the input!
and to those who marked "whats water rogue" in the polls, I have the first word "water rogue" in my post linked to my decklist, which explains what it is. The word should be in red letters, but here ill link it again.. (<<<click on the red letters!)
What is Water Rogue if it is not just the Water Package of Finja, the Flying Star, Bluegill Warrior, and Murloc Warleader? While your list looks nice, I only have Finja and Patches from packs so far, so the other four legendary minions would require that I craft them.
However, if all that is required to make a Water Rogue deck is the Water Package murlocs, then I have been playing with a Water Quest Rogue hybrid that has the Water Package along with Patches the Pirate and friends. Though I doubt this deck would win me much popularity given the general opinion of quest rogues, I like it because it has more variety and depth than a standard Quest Rogue. When I draw Finja early I have sometimes won without completing the quest, but in other games the Crystal Core helped generate a second wave with the remaining murlocs after the loss of the Warleaders. It feels fairly solid, though I'm still tinkering with some of the card choices.

Interesting concept! I like the inclusion of crystal core while its not the basic rogue everyone uses. Its a nice mixup with the water package :)
Also I think edwin would fit nicely into that deck. 2 preps and a counterfeit coin are enough for me! And in my list, you dont need to have some of the unnecessary cards like sherazin. He is mainly to show off that i'm able to even use him in the meta. However he isnt the most meta defining card. (he is useful though)
Thanks for the feedback. I've been considering crafting Edwin VanCleef, seeing as he is a Rogue staple legendary, being from the classic set and all, but I also don't have Thalnos or Leeroy Jenkins either, and those are neutral. That being said, I've heard others say that VanCleef works great as an early game threat, which is something my deck needs. Having now articulated it this way, VanCleef is probably the better craft for this deck. On the other hand, I have used Raging Worgen and considered Vicious Fledglings for similar reasons, though that was in a different version that ran Razorpetals and Shiv as activators.
I've played against a lot of Water Rogue (especially before Un'Goro), but I've never even considered crafting it simply because of the fact that if I'm going to play a 'Hyper-Aggressive Face Deck' (or whatever people call it) I prefer to play the best one.
It's funny that I see this today, because earlier today I put a Water Rogue together and added some of the new Rogue Plant Cards, and practiced with it in casual, and won every single game I played. I was considering playing it in Ranked then posting it here on the site if it was good. Super fun and very good deck, but admittedly not cheap.
Quest Rogue overpopulates and overhype that oppress Water Rogue. Water Rogue was getting some attention until UnGoro launched, and so it faded away.
Part of that might be the nature of quests always starting in your hand. While I run both in my deck, it took several games before I actually drew Finja before turn five to use him as my turn five play.
Meh, I'm honestly kind of sick of water rogue since the last expansion. I'm not really interested in it for the same reason I'm not interested in the ''new'' jade druid (although that one's worse, only un'goro card it runs is earthern scales).

but what I like about water rogue (or at least my version) is that you dont need to depend on one card just to win. especially finja. While it is unfortunate not to draw him, I do not get him most games, yet I'm still cranking out wins because you rely on all of the cards in the deck. :) There is more than just one win condition (finja)
As I understand water rogue lost some important cards from the rotation. Are you playing wild?
Haha, I know seeing that rogue lost conceal and azure drake from a ton of decks, well, it makes rogue cry! But azure drake and conceal are unnecessary in this deck. All standard baby! (I also lost silent knight in the new release because I would run 2 shadow senseis, but I still managed to work around it successfully c: ).

I feel you brother I'm literally the only one left playing Quest Warlock. But it feels good to pretend that you are not one of those netdeckers
Just remember the good times!

Hearthstone needs more birds

Your deck looks like a poor version of miracle .
It's not played because Crystal is cheaper , more fun and overall stronger .
Oh man, those standard players.
