Super swingy. Has to be the absolute worst rng fiesta card I’ve seen so far, just watched my opponent shit out 3 void lords in a row. Obviously an outlier but jeez I can’t thing of another non golden card with this ability to steal wins.
I only saw her it shine once so far, though I think it was more because my opponent had 4 (golden + normal) Soul Jugglers hiding behind big mama.
The variance can be pretty high, of course, but I think 6 star cards should have that kind of quality to significantly improve your comp. Before the new additions, it oftentimes felt like a waste of time and gold to rank up that far.
And standalone, she isn't all that strong with just 8 HP, having the problem of most 6 star minions that you need to invest a few turns to make her really good. Without that support, she's kind of on the level of Ghastcoiler, which I'm also fine with. It can happen that the RNG cards completely steal a match, or you take a lot of damage because of them, but usually, the minions that pop out are not that swingy.
Maybe I haven't played enough BG yet, but I don't find them all that frustrating really. Not on the level of some constructed RNG, where some decks play one card generator after another, and turn the game around with stuff they pull out of nowhere.
It's in general not very good. The juggler build already relies on spamming tokens so your mama rarely gets that much value as it can randomly just get cleaved. It's like... a top-end addition to an already fringe build and it's not build defining and it doesn't power-spike you at all like Megasaur or Mama Bear.
Do you actually care? Or did you just want to make a thread to complain about your bad RNG?
She's balanced, bordering on weak.
Did my post offend you? Not sure why you feel the need to try to Sherlock out my true motives.
Anyways, i do care when the variance is high enough to swing an entire match. When I’m playing intelligently and properly and because of a 1 in 10 I just lose. Well that just sucks. I’ve always felt shredder effects are too swingy for battlegrounds and introduce too much RNG, imp mama is a shredder that can keep on giving.
Ghastcoiler is thoroughly better. Very difficult to get it set up to be in sync with your jugglers. I guess the dream scenario is it keeps getting pecked by 1/1's but more likely it's going to be worse than a voidlord for that build getting killed the first hit and giving you something mediocre which only produces 2 volleys of juggling souls. Suffers from the imp gang boss prloblem where you dont really want to give it taunt because it could just die and produce zilch meaning its just weak stats.
When I go jugglers I prioritize imprisoners and voids. It's a risky investment that could cost you a game.

Just disenchant his comment.
I personally dislike the card but enjoy it when its in my favor. So I suppose its okay then.

There's an existing megathread for Battleground salt.
Battlegrounds is built on RNG. Imp Mama's demon pool is abysmal, with only two good drops, a terrible body, and requires board space.
Okay, you got unlucky and she spawned a Voidlord. Ghastcrawler has a far better pool for drops, and other six drops have far better swing potential. She isn't even good in the machine gun comp, outside of being a cleave guard for jugglers.
Sure, you'll get unlucky about 1/10th of the time. But you'll get bottom 4 because of it 1/100th of the time.
The thread has no value when its just for you to complain about your lowroll. You just wanted attention for your comment instead of being buried in the megathread.
If you wanted actual discussion, you could have raised a thread on a card potentially in need of buffs (which can also be imp mama), or a thread on a card which is consistently causing you losses.

You seem very arrogant. I wonder if this extends into your actual real life. sadly, you don’t get to dictate what an “actual discussion” is. Also you assume a lot. I asked a question about people’s opinion of imp mama and her potential to high roll and swing entire matches. Most responded with respectful comments. You, on the other hand, acted like an ass.
Now, ghastcaller, that’s actually has a much larger pool of possible drops (24 I believe) and outside of modifiers like baron only spawns 2 minions 1 time. So assuming maybe 3 good drops out of 24 (death rattle build and ignoring burgurgle and galakrond since they are situational) then no that’s caller is less consistent than imp mama.
I look forward to well formatted responses and what I assume from you will an angry, arrogant, deplorable response that continues to assume my intentions outside of my actual words.
On the whole, she seems like she's somewhere in value between Ghastcoiler and Sneed's Old Shredder.
Stats are worse than the snake, probably about on par with Sneeds, but with less potential for a crazy RNG out. Also, Imp Mama can fail if there isn't board space, like Rover or Imp Gang Boss. That's a drawback.
However, Imp Mama has a consistent demon synergy. That mostly means Mal'ganis and Soul Juggler, and those both work quite well with her.
Overall, she seems like a weaker 6 drop, but might be too strong as a 5 drop. Considering that she's a battlegrounds-exclusive minion, it might work out well if Blizzard tinkered with her stats a bit. If she were a 5/10 instead of a 6/8, she'd probably be a touch better, without becoming broken.
It is not a bad minion, but in the tier bracket she is, it's quite hard to apply her into comps, because when she becomes viable, you most likelly have only one place on the board to rotate and sell battlecries or filler minions.

That’s a good point she is difficult to make room for late game I’m sure that plays into not seeing more of her.
Lol as if it knew we were talking about her, imp mama solo eliminated me by summoning a Malganis and a battle master off my last two tokens. Turned a hit of 11 into a hit of 21. I was in first place.
im thinking imp mama may be better without jugglers late game, 3 of 8 minions are arguable game breaking. I think this card is underrated.
Feels mediocre on curve. But if you manage to snag an early one from a Zerus or Galakrond hero power, she's a monster. But then, you could say that about most T6 minions...

just stumbled upon this via google. I have to agree that his response was harsh, but one can clearly read out of your post that you were salty while posting this coz ur win just got "stolen" from you. So he has a point and you should get of your high horse as well, which is pretty hypocritical because you then act even worse by insulting him back lol

Blizzard is going full Blizzard and really Blizzarding the hell out of Battlegrounds.
Blizzard designer tastes one of their games: "Hmmm. Needs more RNG"

In a juggler build Imp mama is in most cases just bad at the moment you get her your opponents minions are too big this day....
It dies between your token generator to a cleave or generate 0 minions because your voidvalker filled the board already.
Verry good early (like all 6 drops) or lategame vs a other juggler build.

She's got great synergy with mal'ganis

Mama is really not that good, u need a specific build to utilize her properly other she is at best a Ghostcoiler.

There aren't enough big demons, and it's not like it can spawn itself.
There's some sort of golden maly super build you could potentially do with the card, but it's pretty difficult to pull off.
