So I found a fun little thing to do. Once you hit a ranked floor and can't drop, you can pick a popular meta deck, then build a deck specifically to counter that 1 deck, then queue up until you queue into it (and concede otherwise).
I came up with this anti-pirate pirate warrior deck that's close to 100% win vs pirate warrior and EXTREMELY infuriating to play against. Anyone have any other cool counter-deck ideas?
Ooh, I like that idea. I ran about an 85%+ win rate against quest rogues with an aggro hunter deck up to rank 5, but I'll bet I could push it pretty close to 100% if I weren't concerned about any other matchups. That's probably the only deck I hate enough to really thwart. I might give it a shot and rope every single turn.
Ehmm, sure, but why? If you're doing it just because you'll eventually annoy a pirate warrior sure go ahead, but if you're just doing it to eventually guarantee a win and start climbing from there it's better to queue up a meta deck.
did you saw the reddit post some weeks ago where someone met a guy at rank 18000 legend or something who was insta conceding against him? he added him and asked him why and he answered that he is playing a deck to win against pirate warrior only (similar as you) but it is way more funny if you are doing it to prevent rank 1 pw players hitting legend - ultimate gatekeeper :D

Yeah, that's the point. I'm only doing this in wild anyway, since I don't have any T1 wild decks so it's not like I'm going to climb anyway.
I tried that for fun, and queued into something like 17 straight matches that weren't my target (Pirate Warrior) and then gave up from boredom.
This is exactly what happened to me. Played probably 1/3 games against pirate warrior as Thief Rogue (we can all guess how those matchups went). Finally made it to rank 10 so in my rage I made an anti-pirate warrior deck. Took 20 matches to get matched up with one. Such bullshit.
I made a very defensive control shaman to mainly deal with pirate warriors, Mage decks that just go face with a bunch of stalling and spells, and midrange hunters. It works quite well.
You know there are other decks that can beat pirate warrior and are also good against other decks, like many of the pally variants, and you don't even have to run crawler.

Well the idea wasn't just to beat them, but to make a deck where they basically have no chance to win. My winrate against pirate warrior is like 95% with that deck. In order to lose they have to have a god hand AND you have to draw like total crap. Even a mediocre draws will easily beat pirate warriors.
I think everyone that thinks this is a good idea, needs to follow some anger-management classes.
Not sure what ya'll trying to achieve, but it certainly isn't going to stop anyone from playing Pirates or Quest Rogue. If you're just in it to completely obliterate the deck you hate playing against a few times, at the cost of losing/conceding to all other decks, then I guess you can, but what's the point? I really don't see it.
It's just a card game guys. Don't let the pirates get under your skin. Take a sad song, and make it better!

Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429
That's incredible
I would like to do that on Quest Rogue. Someone suggest me a great antiroguequestdeck?

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?

there are plenty of people pirate hunting at rank 5 to be honest, the rest of the meta is basically rogue hunting
