I crafted Jungle Giants on a whim recently but when I went to find a deck to use it with I couldn't find ANY. At least none from within the past 2 weeks and when I checked HSReplay all I found were jade and aggro druids. I don't have Ixlid or twig of the world tree either so even the few that I have seen have been something I can't really make (I only have about 300 dust at the moment). My collection is public if anybody has the time/ desire to help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!
P.S. I realize using 1600 dust to craft the quest before finding a viable deck was probably not my best idea lol.
You have this.....it's fun but far from viable.....the problem with druid quest is it only makes minions in your deck free so if you get combo pieces in your hand you will be in trouble......worth a try if you have jungle giants though.

When life gives you lemons, trade'em for limes and get some Coronas!
At this time, this isn't the best deck to run in Standard since some of these cards will go to Wild. Not to mention, this isn't the best decklist for Quest Druid.
A viable list should exist. I had a quest druid mirror yesterday, even
I think Ixlid and the stick are key cards though. Sometimes, I find myself with not enough burn because I drew too many combo pieces before finishing the quest. It's a tough deck to balance
Edit: people are mentioning non-OTK variants. I didn't even know they existed!

I don't really like Ixlid in Quest Druid. The cheapest combo with Ixlid is Elder Longneck and even then, the interaction might somewhat weird, haven't tested it out myself yet.
Also, Ixlid is very vulnerable to spells so that's another factor.

I'd think the Major Combo is with Ixlid after the quest is done. Then you get basically double the value/tempo for the free Cards in your Hand.

but your forced to play barnabus first. Even if the combo sounds fun, it comes with it's pitfall

I was talking about the OTK variants of quest druid. The non-combo kind didn't cross my mind until after I posted. The same goes for twig of the world tree, another combo piece. I never tried non-combo quest druid but I don't think they would do very well in there
The point of Ixlid is extending your reach and making your OTK a lot more flexible. You are not forced to play barnabus first, Ixlid actually makes it so you can get away with more combo pieces being undiscounted. You can play 5 mana Ixlid + 0 mana Maly (or 9 mana Maly with a 0 mana Kun or Medivh) for 2 Malygos, Then you can swipe, moonfire, moonfire or undiscounted faceless, moonfire, moonfire. You can also deal 22 with a 0 mana Ixlid, an undiscounted Maly and moonfires. I find that I run into games where I don't have enough burn or enough cards discounted much less often after I started experimenting with him

I can see your point. But as a whole, this type of deck is weak against Kazakus decks which you don't see often anymore
I just ended up giving up on standard versions of Jungle that didn't require the OTK and went wild. Unfortunately I disenchanted my golden Aviana to craft some shit meta legendary recently so I am playing it as a naga giants deck. It is actually incredibly fun and with the ability to buff your board +2 atk when needed (branching paths) and use alex/ kun with 0 mana after completing quest with giants you can surprise your opponent and yourself with lethal.
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1009811-wild-naga-jungle-giants is the deck I use. I just replaced both bright eyed scouts** with 1 kun and 1 more branching because that card is so flexible and since early Un'goro big Druid I have loathed bright eyed scout as she always hits my sub 5 cost cards somehow lol. Plus I feel Kun as either 10 cost free 10 mana to use on your 0 cost minions or 0 cost free 10 for whatever is too good to not use. Currently having some success in 15-12 rank range in NA.
**Edit** replaced the scouts with Kun and 1 Poison seeds to help deal with all the aggro, seems to be working pretty well so far. Going from 0/5 of your quest to 3/5 or 4/5 on turn 5 with the witch or just getting there quickly with free 5/x's with oaken summons and corridor creepers is amazing too. Having a reno weasel priest dead on turn 8 after a reno and Amara with giants and Alex feels good no matter what rank you are.

I will try to build my own following some of the basic guidelines you have laid out, that sounds like a good idea!
This is the decklist I run:
2x Innervate, 1x Earthen Scales, 1x Jungle Giants, 2x Tortollan Forager, 2x Wild Growth, 2x Elder Longneck, 2x Cursed Disciple, 2x Shellshifter, 2x Swipe, 2x Nourish, 1x Spreading Plague, 1x Ancient of War, 2x Giant Anaconda, 1x Malfurion the Pestilent, 1x Silver Vanguard, 2x Ironbark Protector, 1x Primordial Drake, 2x Ultimate Infestation, 1x Y'Sharraj, Rage Unbound.

Well, at least hsreplay and hpwn gave you the idea as to why it was a disastrous craft.
It sucks..
