So i opened a couple of duplicates which gives me 900 dust and now i can afford crafting a new deck. I play dragon priest and secret mage most of all on ladder. I also play wild with my aggro pirate Rogue (with ship cannons and oil). Right now i am willing to try a Pirate warrior. The point is that i have never played Warrior on ladder (frankly speaking it is the least played class for me in HS ever) but as for pirates - i have a decent experience using them with Rogue (tried a lot of builds in wild, played over 200 games with it), but ofcourse i understand that rogue and warrior are very different classes. So the questions are:Is this archetype worth crafting?Does it provide high warrior skill? (no jokes here, i played warrior only in brawls and casual for daily quests, no competitive experience). Thanks in advance!
P.s.: if you are tired facing PW on ladder and you are salty about this match up, please do not write posts like "dont be onecelled person, dont craft PW!!!".
If you're looking for high skill gameplay then it's the last deck you would want to craft.
Sometimes i am getting tired of 15+ turns games and want to play some mindless quick ones. Definetely control is my favourite type, thats for sure, but i dont mind playing versatile.
When someone wants to play PW well it needs skill. Just look how Pros are roping with PW on turn 1. Only dumb players just go face with PW.
If you want an effective deck to climb the ladder, try PW. If played right getting to rank 5 at least is a piece of cake, because most of the players are still to dumb to tech against aggro decks now - and probably till until end of time.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
I've been playing control paladin on ladder without a tarim cause I don't own him and I think my winrate against PW is like 80% or so. Then again I'm fairly heavily teched against them having included 2 tar creepers, 2 truesilvers and a gluttonous ooze, gives me plenty of early game taunts & weapons.
If you want quick games go for it, winrates aren't too much higher in the higher ranks generally but the games last shorter.

I reach rank 5 every season, and when i do i play only control from that mark. PW, as i see it, is a tool to reach rank 5 quicker, just not to waste too much time before the legend grind on high ranks.
I play mostly CW, but have dipped my toes with PW to learn the matchup from the other side and to compare them.
PW won't teach you much about warrior in general, the playstyle is completely different from other warrior decks. It'll teach you how to better fight aggro yourself, and it'll teach you to recognize good gambles.
If climbing ladder is important to you, PW is a very good deck for that.
Though I did actually pick up one trick from PW, there are a few opponent decks where gunning for a few face nudges (even with war-axe if need be ) can make later rounds much easier.
I've never played it myself because I don't have patches and don't have the southsea captains. I was considering crafting them, but decided to go with midrange Paladin instead. I like the deck a lot more, even though I'm not winning with it. The games are just a lot more interesting and fun to play.
I'd say if you don't have any other decks in particular you want to craft, you likely aren't going to regret crafting whatever you are missing and it will help you get up to rank 5 very quickly. If there is another deck that you want to craft though, a midrange hunter will serve the same purpose while likely being cheaper.
It's a very competitive and strong deck (as of right now it's in the top 3 best aggro decks in the game, and probably the best in Wild), playing it to a decent rank is rather simple (you just hit face) - but it's harder to play to 100% efficiency than most other ladder decks (it's generally considered a easy deck though)

This is definitely my case. I have all the decks i want atm even midrange hunter which you mentioned. The only thing i doubt about PW is it competitive right now on rank 13-5 this season.

Well, taking a look at the vS Data Reaper Report from last week, pirate warrior has the highest win rate of any deck until you reach legend (where it is 4th). So it sounds to me like you shouldn't be worrying much about its competitiveness.
aggro druid is much better than PW atm if you are looking for short games and a quick climb.
Tried aggro druid with murloc package last season. Didn't like the interractions of Vanish into my living mana and mass board clear from mage and priest. I think PW is more consistent with those weapons, Mortal Strikes and Leeroy.
murloc package is outdated since more than 5 weeks actually and playing living mana vs rogues in general is a horrible missplay (cause of vanish). play the hydra version, it is so much more consistent than PW, just trust me.
If you are interested, I'd suggest checking out some of the stats for PW at HSReplays, or Metastats. While plenty of people will shit on you for asking if you should play PW, there is as wide a range of performance for the deck as any other - plenty of folks have piloted hundreds of games with PW with win-rates below 40%, while others have played just as many games with win-rates above 60%. You'll have more success with the deck if you don't simply SMorc - PW has the best package of early-game board control in HS, and you need to protect your early Pirates in order to activate the more powerful synergy cards in the deck. You'll need to understand when to transition from board control to aggro - it will differ depending upon the match-up, and the relative board state. Apparently, navigating this transition is difficult enough to account for a win-rate differential of over 20% between good and bad players.
FWIW - the games you play with PW will tend to feel "samey," as it is a very linear deck, and if you intend on grinding a few hundred games each month, you might get bored. The only aggro deck I've ever enjoyed playing is a beast-heavy variant of Egg Druid in Wild - the deck provides a fairly interesting problem-solving exercise, as it is an aggro deck which mostly plays minions with 0 or 1 Attack. Choosing the proper sequencing and placement of minions, and proper sequencing of buffs makes the deck about as interesting as any aggro deck could likely ever be. As far as Warrior goes - if you have the cards to play Wild, and don't want to play PW, you might consider Dragon Warrior. It's a fairly non-linear Midrange deck which is favoured against the aggro decks in the format, yet has plenty of end-game to compete against control.

Going face with pirate warrior does not provide high warrior skill.
yes it is still worth IMO
pirate warrior is still being use in recent tournaments, and it is easy to play
i play PW last month on ladder
I was in charge!! - Patches the Pirate
I wouldn't bother. It doesn't provide any wholesome gameplay, so in the long run, it'll get boring.
Dibbity don't touch that!

That's Incredible!

So i took the risk and crafted PW. 800 dust is not a big deal so i think i wont regret. Thank you guys all for your participation! Cheers!

In any event, GLHF.
