My Highlander Spell/Control Shaman seems to be doing quite well right now even though my sample size is very small (6 games). I updated the deck by getting rid of Transfer Student (who had replaced Lady Vashj), Twilight Drake, Lightning Breath, Witch's Brew, Vulpera Scoundrel and Waste Warden (not so good now that Murloc Paladin is no longer around) and added Lightning Bloom, Devolving Missiles, Instructor Fireheart, Diligent Notetaker,Groundskeeper and Tidal Wave. I kept Cobalt Spellkin as in the current meta both Devolving Missiles and Earth Shock are extremely key cards (against Libram Paladin or Guardian Druid) and I want to have the chance to generate more of them. I even considered adding Wandmaker but don't know what else to cut. Groundskeeper is a better healing option than Witch's Brew as it doesn't concede the tempo since you get to play a premium-statted 4-drop as well. I am not so much into Tidal Wave but I keep it for now as I need more activators for Groundskeeper. Instructor Fireheart is an amazing card. Before playing it I thought that his effect is one-time only (discover a spell, play it and discover a 2nd one), but now I realize that as long as you play the spell that you discover, you can keep discovering more. Play it at 10-mana and you can easily generate 3-4 spells from him, insane value. I saw of course Kibler playing this deck, he includes Speaker Gidra who also seems to be a great card, I don't have it but maybe I should craft it and add it (it would also fit in the Guardian Druid deck so it is in general a good craft). He is also running Headmaster Kel'Thuzad, but with only 1 spell capable of killing a big minion (Torrent) it seems a bit situational as well as too greedy.
Ok, Highlander Shaman is the real deal. I just made it to legend playing mostly this deck and going 17-8 with it from D5 onwards. Instructor Fireheart is obviously a superstar, but I was surprised at how good Tidal Wave is in this deck, it saved me on multiple games. Many games last long and go all the way to fatigue, so the ability to heal for 20+ late in the game is invaluable. Also it is a superb on-curve answer to Soulciologist Malicia. Finally, Devolving Missiles is the most key card in the current meta and the card I would most often play together with Diligent Notetaker. Finally Bandersmosh is both fun and a great card that can do some silly broken things, especially together with Lightning Bloom, like turn 2/3 Dragonqueen Alexstrasza or Dinotamer Brann;) Regarding specific matchups:
- I was lucky not to face any Bomb Warriors (literally 0), which would probably destroy me as they can shut down my highlander cards. They were nowhere to be seen in the D5-D1 climb though, which is why I didn't even bother to run an Ooze in my deck - Guardian Druid and Pure Libram Paladin are both very strong decks and tough matchups, but definitely beatable as long as you would draw the right tools that you need early enough. Devolving Missiles (and generating more copies of it - therefore also the spell-generating cards) was key, Torrent was a cheap and efficient way to deal with a single buffed minion too I was 1-2 vs Druid and 3-2 vs Pally. Druid can be unbeatable if they draw the nuts with early ramp into Guardian Animals of course, but Paladin is more manageable. Keep the board clear so that they can't use their big buffing spells, use cards like Devolving Missiles, Hex and Plague of Murlocs to eliminate their Libram of Wisdom from play (which they can go infinite with otherwise) also minimizing the late-game value Lady Liadrin will provide them. - Aggro Stealth/Weapon Rogue was a great matchup as the deck has all the tools to deal with them: Taunts, AoE spells that can hit stealthed minions and lots of healing. Was 4-1 against them. Similar with aggro Hunter and DH decks - Priest and Highlander Mage: These were long games that often went to fatigue or close to it. It was crucial to get the maximum possible value out of every card (e.g. from the The Fist of Ra-den). Really tough but really enjoyable matches

Just play big spells, other archetypes are kinda bad. If you have Phaoris and Polkelt you can try my deck, it's crazy.
I have played all sorts of archetypes in this meta and the most successful one has been quest shaman
just try big spells shaman, it's super duper good
Shaman is fine but other classes are better then Shamans
