I'm currently using this deck that Kibler was playing on stream. It's a little more control oriented than Reynad's version and I like it a lot more (and frankly Kibler is the dragon expert anyway :P). He made some modifications to this but I've stuck with the original version.
I feel like twlight drake is a bit weak here and like I need to slap at least one holy smite in if I'm going to use Vol'jin but I'm not sure where to subtract. I like having a lot of dragons for activation purposes so I'm hesitant to remove dragons. I'm also dead set on the shadow word: pain because of what I'm playing. A large # of my matches are against totem shaman and that new midrangey paladin and if Murloc Knight and Thunder Bluff Valiant aren't dealt with immediately I pretty much end up losing the game and both can be pained.
I'm pretty sure he made lots of changes to that deck like taking out the cabals and shrinkmeister but it's still probably really strong.
Interesting. I've found the cabals really strong and cabal/shrinkmeister has helped me steal thunder bluffs, murloc knights, and belchers.
Any idea what he replaced them with? I could definitely see there being better options. I had to stop watching him shortly after he changed to 2 holy smites and a lightbomb as well as a Sylvanas, but I don't like that version as much in theory (though admittedly I haven't tried it). Did he make any changes after that? As far as deck builders I trust Kibler is #1 as far as dragons go, so I'm curious what kind of tinkering he did.

I don't remember his exact changes I wasn't paying that much attention but he did make some he may have put some things back in as well.
Holy Champion is a good card in its own deck, though does it work as well in Dragons?
I put it in because it is good by itself and found myself using the buffs before i got to play the dragonkin anyway (turn 1 +coin - turn 4 with a 3 drop and no dragonkin in hand). I also put in eydris for one of the dark cultists as well since it has synergy with the buff cards and is only 3 mana
Don't have the list handy but Gaara ran a dragon priest in ATLC today and yesterday. He got his win with it vs lifecoache's varian control warrior today.
I'm finding control warrior, handlock, and control paladins to be near unwinnable games. Midrange murloc paladin is an issue too if I can't deal with the Murloc Knight.
Everything else is pretty great (aggro might as well concede if I pull an early drop or two) but when the meta skews towards control I get absolutely wrecked. Seems like the deck just runs out of steam and reach.
The problem that i'm having with this deck is its consistency. It is pretty much dependant on early game board control through your dragon activators, and once in a while you'll get a streak of games where you just won't draw into any of your dragons, until early midgame, and when that happens ... well, you'll just get rekt, every single time.

What do you expect in a game so heavily dependent on RNG? No deck lets you continuously outplay your opponent, you build your deck to either be balanced (midrange) or focused on early or late game (aggro/control) and accept the downsides of each.

I see your point, but this deck in particular adds another lair of RNG on top of that, a condition, which if you fail to meet, makes you feel crippled.

I really don't think that this decks starts are any more inconsistent than like control warrior or even midrange paladin.
It's about mulligans - mulligans are very complicated and variable with this deck. It depends on what you're playing, what you need, and a ton of other factors. Correct mulligans can make the deck a little bit more consistent. Knowing when to keep that chillmaw or Ysera as a dragon activator, when you can afford to mulligan a dragon, or even when you want multiple dragons can all help you win.
Been loving this deck so far. As most have said, it can do very well against aggro (stream of taunts and healing them with hero power), but can struggle against decks like Handlock.
I have also noticed that certain mid-sized (or sticky) creatures can cause the biggest problems, though, specifically those with 4-6 health. There are a lot of shaman playing Thunder Bluff Valiant, and paladins playing Murloc Knight right now. I've noticed cards like these, in addition to the other things they've got on board, are difficult for priest to remove. As a matter of fact, I may go back to running a SW:Pain...
Ham aggro and full on control seem like decent matchups, but decks like the two examples I gave that are more midrange and looking to go wide with medium sized creatures can cause problems.
Played different types of Dragon Priest and came to the conclusion that the deck doesn't really work. Priest is my main class and I really hopped that Dragon Priest would be the real deal but after trying it for several hours a day it didn't worked for me. In this aggro heavy meta you are toast if you have a slow starthand.
Few examples Twilight Guardian is a Shieldmaster + 1 health and if you are out of luck it is only a 2/6 without taunt - > Sludge is a bit slower but still better. Wyrmrest Agent (without the dragon synergy it would be great) is a 1/4 and Twilight Whelp only 2/1 if you don't have a Dragon in hand. Chillmaw is only a expensive taunt and his deathrattle can be a huge drawback.
If you face a Priest who runs the old Soulpriest, Injured + Cards XY Combo he is going to win the game by 70% because his combos will simply outclass your dragons and his early game with Chow (still better then Whelp because guaranteed 2/3 ) and Pyro.
How exactly are you ending up without dragon activators so often? For that matter, how on earth are you losing to aggro? The more midrangey versions of this deck are the most insane anti-aggro decks I've ever played.
Sounds like you've got some problems in your deck choices or mulligans. I mean, my version of the deck runs a whopping TEN dragon activators. How are you making it through mulligan phase and into turn 3 or 4 without a dragon in hand? Assuming you get no dragons and mulligan all 3, then draw the minimum 4 cards by turn 4 that's up to 10 cards you've drawn through since mulligan'd cards can't be redrawn in mulligan phase - that's some exceptionally bad luck if all 10 activators are just sitting on the bottom half of your deck.
I've been running this the last few days from ~rank 10 to rank 1 currently and it's been one of my easiest trips to legend so far (assuming I find the time to pick up legend in the next few days). I'd say my only easier climb was last month when I went from 8 -> legend with aggro paladin in an afternoon, but that was an aggro deck so it's got much quicker games.
Of course dragon priest is going to lose to a classic control deck like soulpriest - dragon priest has a bunch of good cabal targets (especially with shrinkmeister) and is weak to aoe which it has a ton of. But dragon priest will also just flat out overwhelm a lot of decks that your deck couldn't touch.

^^this pretty sure most dragon deck runs at least 7-8 targets and usually the following: azure drake, twilight drake, twilight guardian, alex, ysera, chillmaw, and running any of these combo will include 7... how do you miss your triggers?

Yes I saw that it looked like reynads list.

Dargonpreist is defintely real deal! I just got legendary #1 on my native EU server and the foreign America server both as well with this listdeck!
Uhh #1 Legend huh? When, cause you aren't even listed in the top 30 on EU currently. Someones a troll lol.
