You don't need Sylvanas in a regular Mid-Range deck. Unless you plan on going N'Zoth Hunter? If so I suggest checking out the list below. It got me to rank 5 last season.
Both is good tho Sylvanas requires board present for opposite player while cairne doesn't have such a requirement but at the same time it doesn't force player to take extra measurements.
From Barnes side if you summon Barnes at 4 mana it is better than Sylvanas because at turn 4 you can have 3/4 4/5 board present if you have Huhuran at turn 5 you can have 3/4 4/5 4/5 6/5 board present.
I think in general, Sylvanas Windrunner is a better midrange, deathrattle card than Cairne Bloodhoof but both are very good in your average N'Zoth style deck - HOWEVER - you're saying midrange hunter and I would run 2x Savannah Highmane over EITHER of these legendaries in a heartbeat (and have).
Hi, I am actually a big fan of both Cairne and Sylvanas. I have them both in my midrange hunter deck and it works fine, (rank 9 currently, planning to hit at least 5 like every season). If you can't craft both, I would always choose Sylvanas because once it is dropped onto the board, if the opponent does not have any sort of removal, (hex,polymorph, silence) they will likely make some awkward trade heavily in your favor, while Cairne is just a solid body for trades. If they leave Sylvanas up, you have cards like quickshot and kill command that can make some steals once it is your turn. I like to to point out that you don't even need to put Cairne or Sylvanas in your deck for midrange hunter, because two Highmanes already cover your turn 6 power play. I added them both because increase my chances of winning against control decks like warrior. (I have N'zoth in my hunter deck).
I would strongly advise adding Stranglethorn tiger to your midrange hunter deck, as hunter does not really have any strong 5-drops like Stranglethorn. Highmanes take care of your 6-drops.
2 Stranglethorn Tiger and two highmanes are your best bet. As a midrange hunter losing board equals losing the game, so neither legendary would help you. By turn 5/6 you want to start pounding face anyway so you need high attack minions that stick. so solid 5 drop into solid 6 drop is your best bet.
Generally Sylvanas is better for control decks. Cairn is better because you can drop him anytime on the board and your opp will have trouble removing it.

I'm crafting legendary for my Standard Midrange Hunter Deck, I already got Ragnaros.

need your comments and suggestion guys.
please don't forget to vote.
TYIA =)
Flip a coin. It depends on what kind of deck you play. If it's a control type, Sylvanas all the way. If it's anything else, Cairne is pure value.
Sylvannas over Cairne. Sylvannas will fit a lot of different decks while Cairne is more popular because of Nzoth.
