It is not a discussion about F2P vs P2W, it is not a discussion about expensive vs cheap model.
I think his point was: After spending the money he thinks it was not worth it. And this is the advice he giving.
I can relate, because I am currently thinking the same thing. I started this game looking for a competitive game, but was sadly disappointed. I do not want to start a discussion of Skill vs. RNG, but I think we can agree that skill makes a difference in not more than 50 percent of the time. Which is why I am disappointed, and decided not to spend any more money on this game. As I did not yet decide if I want to continue playing or give it up completely, I still play a lot to collect enough gold, to avoid having to spend further money.
Greatest regret: I crafted Halazeal on Old gods release day, then realised I dont have no elemental destruction. Maybe there will be hope after the next rotation.
Best decision: I crafted white eyes for midrange shaman a few days ago. helped me with the quick climb to rank 5 last month.
I like your idea. Very fun to play, especially that I like playing paladin.
A few notes though after 2-8 losing streak.
I think barnes has very little synergy in this deck, especially with the random legendaries, so I am glad you removed him.
Most of my losses were with a full hand of very high value cards against opponents with empty hands, so I would suggest cutting the cold light oracles. (I cut them for forbidden healings)
Nzoth has synergy with 3 cards out of your 35-card deck. SO I often have him with little or medium value at 10 mana, otherwise it is a dead draw. I took him out. with a 35-card deck and elise you should have no problem against a control deck, even without nzoth.
As mentioned above I usually have a very full hand, so I added emperor thaurissan and twilight drake for their effect and to improve the midgame/early late game.
Other than that, it is a very fun deck to play. I am enjoying it a lot (in spite of the losses :) )
I understand that we have to pay money or gold to own the cards, I also understand paying gold/money to play with cards you may not own in arena. But Paying money to own the cards, and then paying money again to use them I cannot understand.
PS:
I have all playable cards (except leeroy and tinkmaster). I have over 17000 gold and 14000 dust ready for the next expansion. And regarding blizzards policies I will not sink 1 more cent in this game.

I think many miss the point of the OP.
