So, like most of you, i'm bored of the current 4 or 5 decks which everyone is pretty much playing.
I've been experimenting with Odd Druid last night currently bottomed out at Rank 15 0 stars So I figured it would be a good time to try a few homebrew decks.
I can't seem to get much going on, just wondering if anyone has ever had any luck with this archetype and possibly a link to a decent deck(s) for some inspiration.
The 2/2 hero power is pretty good so just need to work out a way to incorporate it. I figure this needs to be an aggro deck which uses the hero power to keep the board clear while trying to go wide getting ready for a savage roar finisher?
I just built and odd druid deck after crafting baku. I've built a few odd decks with hunter rogue druid and warrior. I just built it last night and am 6 and 1 with 3 wins being in ranked.
My first druid deck was a weird treant/mulchmuncher/splintergraft deck .Its fun to play but doesn't perform the best.
So after i crafted baku and built my deck i seen kilbers odd druid and was super stoked cuz i put most of the same stuff in my deck minus a few substitutions i feel work better.
Its definitely not a typical druid deck and from what ive been reading no one really even expects it so they can't plan the match cuz they're expecting the more ridiculous meme combo taunt maly druids. This is a completely different beast. Its a midrange deck i feel but leans more towards aggro.
The hero power is a huge advantage but is definitely not for going face every turn with it. Druid has some amazing odd cost cards way better than my odd hunter. Of course the one match i lost was to an odd hunter. But that was my fault due to bad decisions. Using the hero power to take out minions is a must .Id say hench clan thug is a must. They call for the opponent to deal with it fast or bite the dirt.
Druid of the scythe is an invaluable card as well as its 5 cost counterpart druid of the swarm(I believe). Two cards that can either be a taunt/rush or taunt slash charge enable you to really punish a board. The spellstone too is a must so easy to power up with the upgraded hero power. Fire fly has also proven amazing as by turn 3 and 4 you have either the board cleared or 4-8 health off your opponent.
As with all odd/even decks there is weakness to it due to the limitations. But ive noticed you really have to play your hand as optimally as possible or your done .
I'd say just keep using the deck and use your losses to optimize it. But it definitely seems to be a decent deck. Least get you to rank 15 if you play wisely altho idk how competitive a deck it would prove to be.
The hero power works really well with the new hero-attack synergy from Rasthakan, so i tried to form some odd druid deck around Gonk, the Raptor and Spirit of the Raptor. Im unsure of which wincondition to use... Hero power helps survive and draw, but whats the best wincon for the deck? For now i have Witchwood Grizzlys, multiply them and Void Ripper for the final blow
But i dont want witching hour to spawn a 2/6 gloom stag...
Regarding the new legendary Gonk, the Raptor, would it be worth having Gnash, at least up until rotation. Giving you 5 attack for the whole turn should allow you to pretty much clear the entire board.
Never mind, You wouldnt be able to afford that all in 1 turn. Claw is better.
I have been having a blast with my Odd Druid deck, but I have not updated it with any of the new cards. I plan to, but how are the Spirit of the Raptor performing for you guys?
Hi Guys,
So, like most of you, i'm bored of the current 4 or 5 decks which everyone is pretty much playing.

I've been toying around with Odd Druid trying to get something working. I've tried to run a bunch of mechs, tried a bunch of your normal odd cards (Fungalmancer, Hench-Clan Thug, Vicious Fledgling, Tar Creeper, Stonehill Defender, Fire Fly etc).
I can't seem to get much going on, just wondering if anyone has ever had any luck with this archetype and possibly a link to a decent deck(s) for some inspiration.

Thanks :)

Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
Thanks Mate i've had a look a his deck it looks good and fairly cheap!
Only thing is I don't have Cenarius So I might try Ysera or Ixlid, Fungal Lord instead.
