Hello Miambo. I had no intention to ever play shaman but I randomly got a Thrall so I decided I might as well try and build something around it so I gave this a go. It's a great deck and a lot of fun to play. Have had some crazy turn 5 wins against very expensive decks which is always a lot of fun. Just had a quick question about the possible pirate replacements. Why do you suggest taking 2 bloodsail corsair over say 2 n'zoths first mate? In the games I have played recently weapons are rarely a big threat and it seems to me that having a spare weapon would be more beneficial than the possibility of removing 1 durability from a weapon that may not be there? Or is there some synergy/strat with the bloodsail I'm missing?

N'Zoth's First Mate is a Warrior Class card and cannot, unfortunately, be used in this list. However, you do bring up a good point. Recently, there has been a decline in Weapon based decks with the Fiery War Axe nerf, and Bloodsail Corsair will almost never snag a weapon durability anymore. It's only in there to pull out Patches the Pirate for one mana, currently I can't think of a better alternative in shaman, but if you do, then go ahead and run it!

Ah, my mistake. I had a feeling there had to be some reason for it. I guess since I tend to play a weapon fairly early southsea deckhand would work and would possibly offer more value. If you get it in your hand it's a 2/1 that summons patches and if you get him a little later it might be a 2/1 with charge.

Have also had some success swapping out 2 things from below with 2 bonemare so if the big evolves don't hit you still have a way to push through and make some plays. The synergy isn't as good but bonemare is just so strong right now.

Are there any other death knight hero cards you would suggest making a deck around?

Scourgelord Garrosh is always fun, I've already created a few fatigue-ish decks with the card. If you're looking for a deck to build that relies on the Hero Card, then a Frost Lich Jaina deck, either a burn or elemental deck, the later being more interesting.

With this deck or in general?
If you're getting messed up by them, just try to mulligan for Devolve and save it until they Spikeridged Steed or Tirion Fordring, or, if you're really desperate to dismantle paladin, you could try running a Hex somewhere in that, maybe replacing a Jade Lighting, though I don't think I'd recommend it. Getting Maelstrom Portal goes a long way towards beating Murloc Paladin, but if you can't get it, you could replace an Argent Squire for a Lightning Storm, if you run into a lot of it.

is thrall necessary? Can I play this with a Master of Evolution instead?

Sorry, but Thrall, Deathseer is pretty much the only irreplaceable card. The idea of a Master of Evolution Evolve Shaman is interesting though, so you could try that, but it wouldn't be fast enough to be called the same type of evolve shaman that is currently powerful.
