General Information:

I decided to make and and this deck here because in my opinion It's always fun to play a control type of deck instead of turn 5 deal 40 damage decks and  the game meta is way to disgusting right now. Secret-aggro mage players killing you at 6th turn, Beast Token Druid wins the game at turn 5 and there are more aggro decks to make people shoot themselves. So this deck has a lot of counters against them and a lots of anti-meta cards to punish them, plus it's a little bit cheaper (1860 dust) than the original deck.

Essential Mulligans:

As you can see this deck has too many early cards for a control deck such as  Northshire Cleric, Power Word: Shield, Potion of Madness, Shadow Word: Pain, Doomsayer, Kazakus so you may want to mulligan for those cards essentialy.

Except these essential mulligans there are some cards that you might want to have against some classes.

Agains Hunter:

Hunter has a lots of , I mean way too much, 1 health minions so keeping a Wild Pyromancer with a small ,1 or maybe a 2, cost spell might be a good idea.

Against Druid:

So Druid has been using an aggro type of decks so far, so you will need essential mulligans, but priority is Doomsayer and Shadow Word: Pain. He'll come at you with lots of buffed 1 or 2 drops, so if you can survive early turns you can use Kazakus to get some board clears or you can use Dragonfire Potion to make him loose his whole board and make him run out of steam.

Against Priest:

Okay, priests will probably will be playing Inner Fire or a Dragonish control type of deck, but based on my experiences so far you'll be facing Inner Fire decks more oftenly. It will be hard to win against those guys, but keeping Kazakus for the 5 mana polymorph effect might be the key to victory. You can polymorph his 4-16 guy before him using his Inner Fire. You can also keep Kabal Courier if you have a awful hand, but I'm not recommending it. And if he's not playing a Inner Fire type of deck and he might actually be slower than you, in that situation you can use Kazakus to get a 10 mana potion with minion spawning effects.

Against Warrior:

You won't be facing Pirate Warrior too much and I think you know how to beat them so I'm going to talk about a more popular deck: Taunt Warrior. So it is a control deck. And against a control deck, it will be easy for you to win with a Kazakus - Raza the Chained - Elise the Trailblazer deck. You can keep 4 drops plus this deck's most essential card Raza the Chained. This match-up will be probably will be easy and won't give you any troubles or punishments for bad mulligan.

Against Rogue:

The number of Quest Rogue players are amazingly decreased this season but I felt like adding this header here in case of you face one. Rogue will be trying to drop stuff and pull those stuff back so cards like Potion of Madness will not help you. Instead of essential cards you might want to keep Dragonfire Potion and Kazakus and at the same time you'll need to play faster than him, you have to fill your board before he achieves his Quest Reward.

Against Mage:

Mage is using a disgusting deck and has every single Secret related card in his/her deck. And he/she got this strong card called Arconologist which has premium stats and can draw a specific card from your deck. So that makes the card so much better than Loot Hoarder, it's basically Standart Format's Mad Scientist. So the answer is Eater of Secrets. You have to have this card in your deck because punishing those aggro-secret mages with a surprize card is so much more than satisfying.

Against other classes, you can keep essential cards.

 Deck Updates:

Removed Free From Amber for a Curious Glimmerroot (The card is too slow for this meta and it doesn't help in many situations, new card is more consistent). -19.05.2017
