Exciting news, News of Standard is in the air and I have adjusted the deck accordingly. This deck is highly experimental. I'm unsure of how well cards like Arathi Weaponsmith will do with Death's Bite now being out of the game. Shieldmaiden and Sludge Belcher are also big hits.
This is a much lower curve control Warrior with Elise Starseeker to win control match ups. With this deck you don't have to worry about drawing cards against another control deck since if you draw Golden Monkey, fatigue wont matter. That part hasn't changed with the advent of standard.
It might actually correct to now make this deck super slow since the removal of the majority of difficult to deal with deathrattle cards means aggro is taking a HUGE hit.
EDIT: Added C'Thun's Chosen because it's a really good card even without C'Thun and also N'Zoth's First Mate because:
Compare it to Living Roots. Living Roots, as we all know, is a really good card. With this card, instead of a second 1/1, you get a 1/3 weapon. It's pretty clear that a Heavy Axe is a lot better than a Wisp. And just like Living Roots, the weapon allows this card to be extremely useful in the late game as an extra Execute enabler.
In Wild, this card is even more beautiful. For too long, warriors have gotten immeasurably screwed by minions with divine shield like Annoy-o-Tron and Shielded Minibot. Well NO LONGER, my fellow brothers in arms. Finally, we have a cheap way to ping of divine shields as Warriors.
The dream with this card is you're playing against an aggressive deck. They turn Leper Gnome. You smack down N'Zoth's First Mate and put that diseased gnome out of it' misery. Then, to follow up they play Knife Juggler. You play a 2-drop or even just Armor Up! and trade your 1/1 and you weapon into the Knife Juggler. Congratulations, your 1-drop just traded two for one with 3 mana worth of stuff and you still have a 1/1 Rusty Hook left over to destroy something else.
This is Muster for Battle except you're paying a 3rd of the mana for a 3rd of the 1/1s and still getting almost the full weapon.
Added some stuff because new cards came out.
For any of those curious you can check out some of my other WoG Theorycraft decks here: blorp
EDIT: teched in The Black Knight because of all the targets
If you're playing against mostly control decks then fine but most people I'm running into aren't playing control.
You can't
I have almost every card here so I have a few questions. I swapped Harrison for Cairne Bloodhoof since I dont have him I want to know if that will work because I figured for control he trades well. I also dont have doomsayer and idk what to replace them with then I am missing grommash which I assume is neccesary so I am trying to get the dust but is there a substitution?
Haha whoever created this deck must really hate aggro
If you're having trouble with mice use a mouse trap.
Is Harrison used more for destroying the weapon or for the weapon destroying. I cant craft the card so should i use something like ooze or a different card draw card or is the deck just impossible to play without harrison
Try Revenge. Harrison definitely isn't a necessity
I have neither Harrison nor second doomsayer yet. Just replaced harrison with ooze and what should i add instead of second doomsayer for now?
Revenge
It would make the deck unimaginably worse but sure.
Even updated this 'deck' is still holly noncompetitive and terrible
Most decks are bad when they're played by bad players.
1. not really.
2. Whats the point of Consecration without Solemn Vigil? Sure, Consecration is a better card if you have Solemn Vigil but its by no means the reason you play Consecration. You play Consecration because its efficient, kills multiple things and does most of what you want in a card like that. Same with Ravaging Ghoul. If Ravaging Ghoul was only ever good with Frothing Berserker it would never see play in any deck. Even Tempo Warrior. Ravaging Ghoul sees play because its a cheap minion with a super powerful effect that crushes Zoo and other aggressive decks and also happens to activate Execute and other similar effects and for that reason it would see play in Tempo Warrior even without Frothing Berserker.
Hey so far I've gone good with this deck with only Sylvannas and Justicar for the legendaries and I was just wondering if I should make Grommash or Soggoth first. Thanks!
great deck
I think you should put Harrison Jones instead of Nexus
Well I guess you could technically put in an actually good card but I think the much important factor to consider is card art, in which Saraad beats out.
Im unsure about Elise to be honest. I never loved this card, it's too random and pretty much ruin your deck's purpose. Many times i've decided to use it, and lost because of that.
Many times i've decide NOT using it, and won because of that.
You're not using it right, it's supposed to be when you're near the end-game, all you have left is removal, and then you out value your opponent.
