Nana here to showcase his anti-aggro deck. This is not the first time I've tried to make taunt druid work. The other time I did I got to top 200 legend with it quite easily. proof
Just coached my brother to legend with this updated list. He got there with a 61% winrate. So if you are struggling to get there this final week this is the deck to go for :) hf
Let me show you how this would work:
Core cards;
I'm sure you can see the synergies without me pointing them out.
Here's a simple mulligan
Note: Don't keep Master Oakheart unless you have the needed ramp in your mulligan phase
A little in-depth mulligan against aggro or control decks, these are of the highest priority
Against Control: Keep, Master Oakheart, Nourish, Oaken Summons and Wild Growth
Against Aggro: Keep, Lesser Jasper Spellstone, Oaken Summons, Wrath, Swipe and Wild Growth
Gameplan;
Ramp up quickly with Wild Growth and Nourish, get your taunts out there and whittle your opponent down.
Later in the game look for combos like;
Hadronox now summons;
Tips Section
Against Aggro, ramp as quickly as possible and put your taunts down.
You can Drop your Hadronox into a Doomsayer if you have enough dead Taunts to deny your opponent setup time
Hadronox + Naturalize is going to win you a lot of games, you should not throw your Hadronox into a silence because you're impatient. Also don't waste your Naturalize every time you need something to disappear, you have a lot of armor for a reason
Branching Paths can give you a lethal you might not realize afterHadronox Vomits
You can put Hadronox down without naturalize if you're playing against a non-mage/non-shaman deck and cube it later. If they silence and kill it just play your Witching Hour and Cube that
That's all for now
Leave your suggestions/thoughts/questions in the comments below. Thanks
Add spiritsinger umbra. It works well with witching hour. Also add a couple of astral tigers. It’ll keep you from milling yourself
man the longer i play, the more i wanna add a second Big Game Hunter... so many spiteful and mountain giants.. i loose to nothing else (bad draw luck)
the guardian is a bad idea because it will come back as an 4/1 from hodronox
Any tips for beating Shudderwock shaman? I've been having no luck against them
They should be easy for you with this deck, just rush them don't make any unfavourable trades and take down their Mana Tide Totem ASAP. Their only weapon against you is Volcano and so just put some high health minions down, buff them with Branching Paths and you're good. Also draw quickly and flood the board at all times
I dont wanna waste my dust on Hadronox
This is a great deck! Its quite similar to my big taunt druid that i already had but with a more efficient twist. One of the fun druid decks that I'll be playing this season. :)
Fun story: I have every card in this deck except Hadronox, so I replaced him with everyone's favorite dinosaur, Tyrantus! He does wonders against Controllock and Mage, from what I've tested (which isn't a lot, I've been busy), but I was wondering if there could be room for him in the deck once I inevitably craft Hadronox? Witching Hour is what makes him so good.
Sorry, I don't think so
I guess I'm an idiot because I can't even win at rank 10 during 7 matches. But I don't blame you. I'm still trying to understand the whole concept of it. Perhaps, I can't show good results because I'm playing already around 5-6 hours and I can't think clearly.
ok so after some testing - the deck is really nice - but you have literally 0% chance to win vs Cubelock, which is probably not a good idea in the meta :-/
dont play beasts. flood your taunts, draw and armor. hadro + naturalize, then bring back with witching hour. dont play grizzled guardian or witchwood grizzly until you revived hadronox twice. Also, dont be afraid to take a little damage, you'll armor up enough to survive. if opponent doesnt ragequit after 3rd hadronox, then you play your other beasts, playing witchwood grizzly last. Dont, under any circumstance, naturalize their voidlords or giants unless you have to prevent lethal. I was struggling but with above strategy i win 80% vs cubelock. it feels the other beasts are blocking your hand, but in reality it just prevents you from playing UI, while giving you huge mana on the 3 mana card (forgot name). always play astral tigers and non beast taunts to keep space in hand.

Why is there no Malfurion the Pestilent in the deck?
Because of its anti-synergy with Witching Hour.
another question - have you tested Carnivorous Cube as a one of?
Yes I have.....I regretted it
Your description says "Later in the game look for combos like; Hadronox, Naturalize".
Do you play Hadronox and naturalize your own Hadronox?
Yep, that's what got me to rank 2
Nice deck. I've just defeated a Cubelock with this, but man, it was exceptionally challenging. Basically, we both went to fatigue, he silenced both of my Astral Tigers, but thanks to Naturalize he was 3 turns ahead in fatigue + I burned him one Cube. He didn't have Twisting Nether, so he couldn't pass my huge wall that Hadronox generated.
I also completely destroyed Shudderwock Shaman while sitting on 30 HP + massive amount of Armour. I'm really enjoying this deck (I included Malfurion, the Pestilent since I don't have the second Primordial Drake).
Yeah, The cubelock matches always end in fatigue
