So not even a nerf or occurrence reduction after all this time. Preferably just delete him from the game
Seriously this is fucking joke I would have completed every class months ago if not for this guy. There is no deck no matter how many cards you have that can beat this guy.
Luck seems the only way to win. Had a decent Deathrattle deck but my luck was his evolving into Anomalus and me getting the quest done when on 4 health. After the big guy exploded I got the board and his hand was empty.
I beat him pretty easily using a deathrattle priest deck with Kelthusad and permanent stealth. I went on to defeat The Darkness as well :)
This one has killed so many of runs.. Frustrating
So after reading all the comments above I thought for sure I was going to have my butt handed to me but I absolutely crushed Blackseed on my first try facing him!
I was playing a hunter deck and scored a Captured Flag early on my run to pump up my creatures and I'd already selected deathrattle minions, so i knew I had a few stickies that could stay on the board to help try and contain his forces. I started off with a great draw and coined a Cave Hydra out early which really helped me control the board in the first few turns.
On turn five he hit me with Living Mana and I had to scramble to contain his minions but did a pretty fair job. Two turns later it was another Living Mana, but I mized a Deathstalker Rexxar and cleared his board! After that it was really just some mopping up. I finally managed to get out a Y'Shaarj who immediately summoned another Y'Shaarj and I Rexxarsteined some windfury creatures to finish that sucker off!
I think the Captured Flag treasure was a big deal and being able to put down new "sticky" deathrattle creatures like Haunted Creeper and Kindly Grandmother almost every turn made a big difference.

Ended dozens of dungeon runs for me.
I agree with the other posters. His deck is full of things like Doppelgangster, Saronite Chain Gang, and Living Roots for minions to evolve, and his hero power only costing 1 means he WILL combo it. This has been a run-ender boss for me multiple times, even when I had the Glyph of Warding to make minions cost 1 more. He pulled out ragnaros and tirion out of doppelgangsters.
I don't know what deck beats this actually. Aggro will NOT rush down 60 health fast enough, and control can't deal with him out-tempoing them. You can't even just "clear the board" because he'll just summon a couple 'average' minions and evolve them to powerhouses.
Good luck against this one. You probably need some serious burn in combination with some serious board wipes (like the Rod of Destruction, or w/e artifact it is that silences-then-kills all enemy minions). Maybe a good Wish or Boots of Haste could seal an early win. Otherwise, go for Rod of Blasting and hope you hit his face more than yours, lmao
I had a fucking epic ass priest deck and got fucked by this when he was one more fatigue pull from death. So infuriating. Restored my double health hero twice to full health (minion once and wish second) and it wasn't enough, even had tad pole, free hero power... Not enough
Probably THE hardest boss out of any of the dungeon bosses if he has evolve a minion into one 3 higher... makes the final bosses look like a joke. Pretty much impossible to win unless you have a seriously rigged deck.
Not sure what Blizzard was thinking when they tested this.
Unless you have the rare hand that can keep the board cleared after every turn, you're going to lose. Lots of inspire minions in the boss's deck as well.

Transform a minion into one that costs 3 more is what I see the hero power as. I am going to lose this one...
