Might be good in face hunter, but I really like the idea! A secret that activates after using your hero power!
We need Flare to become common minion battlecry. NOW!
Hunter just got faster.
Face hunter is gonna love this :(
Enemy Hero Power usage triggers this? This card wont see much play honestly...
Lol. This is just more facehunter support.
"New secret? Does it clear board? NO! Me still go face!"
It's basically going to either give the hunter more tempo, especially with scientist, or it'll hit face for another 5 damage, and there are two of them...
I mean, if they have something that could absorb Freezing Trap and this hits that, it's basically just like freezing. Maybe better, because it just completely removes the minion from play, not just returning it to hand. But it has the chance to kill a bigger minion too, since the opponent doesn't get to choose what gets "frozen". Most things that are playable during a game against Face Hunter are going to die to this. And if it actually hits face, all the better! At least for the Hunter...
And since you basically have to hero power against Face Hunter or you die for sure most of the time, I think this is a direct upgrade to Freezing Trap in that deck, no?
Edit: Kinda forgot about deathrattles. But even if it kills a minion with deathrattle, it's still removing some tempo from your opponent by either killing that minion or whatever the deathrattle spawned. Either way it adds some mad mindgames to playing against Hunter, as this is yet another different trigger for a secret.
Paladin sees hunter play a trap turn 2. Paladin with empty board taps hero power. Paladin laughs at sad hunter
honestly, for a 2-drop to be able to instantly deal 5 damage is too damn op
Seems midiOK
What? midiOK? a cost-2 card that can deal 5 damage randomly. It's almost a direct upgrade to mage's Flamethrower. It's true that the enemy has to use hero power first, but cmon don't tell me that someone is not going to use hero power for the rest of the match simply because there is a potential that they'll receive 5 damage. The fact that it only cost 2, and it only req. the opponent to use their hero power, is a strong solid card with a good tempo swing if used correctly. Even Blackwing Corruptor's battlecry couldn't do that much damage
Yes. You are right about Dart Trap being even more random. But that's exactly what makes this card a huge pick potential. The fact that it can instantly deal 5 damage on a turn though, is still sth that should not be taken lightly-- especially if it's just on turn 2. Take into account that most most 4-cost minions or even 5 drops cannot survive a 5 damage directly in the face. Also, Snipe is fairly easy to counter. Just summon a trash card, like a 1/2 one cost minion, and snipe will be wasted. That is not the case with Dart Trap. It's random, and random does not always mean bad, nor good. So I think you are right about this card becoming aggro hunter's main.
Mostly face hunter I suspect
Cause Muck Mreeze Fages
A well balanced card. Leans toward control archtype imo.
Not far from being a replica of Snipe, but your opponent has the control to trigger it.
Has SMOrc written all over it. Even if it doesn't hit face, help take down taunts.
And if the person doesn't use the hero power? Then your applying control to your turn value.
Using your logic to it, in that case, people would use Snipe in aggro decks. Which no one do.
You have to use your hero power against Face Hunter, otherwise you are dead.
is this any better than a 2 cost deal 4 damange to random enemy minion?
