correct
no DIRTY RAT...me sad....DRAKONID OPERATIVE....me happy
Pufferfist, seriously? They are fixing all weaknesses for Pirate Warrior in Wild, now it has board control against other Aggro Tokens decks too.....
It is a 3/4 Pirate minion with ability to deal 1 dmg to all ENEMIES after the hero attacks....
now i'm only basing it on the video, in this expansion paladin (and mage) is going to get mech and what they decided to show from the core set? dragons...make sense
I personally love dragon decks. I am sure that will be a setup for an expansion this year. 100% they will bring out a ton of dragons and mechs in the mini set also.
Light Rag, Tess, Doomsayer AND Tar Creeper are back?! Holy shit, guess the control player outcry was heard after all, this core set is AMAZING.
Not a fan of Northshire Cleric, Pyroblast and the OG explorers returning, but overall this seems to check almost everyones wishlist, great day!
Thank god, my beloved Reno is back <3
Now I finally can have some fun games as I don't will see any broken quest hunter anymore, bye bye lmao
yeah sure, as if quest hunter can't deal 60 damage by turn 7/8
They made a 4 mana 2/2 for Rogue with 'Battlecry: Your next spell this turn costs (0).'
About reducing the amount of mana cheat...
Also Mage has 3 mana 'Draw a Mech. Reduce the Cost of Mechs in your hand by (1).'
...this core set is kind of... awful. Some of it's cool, like Jek'lik or I guess... Tess, or Ragnaros. But I never needed to see Pyroblast or Northshire Cleric ever again.
The old League of Explorers are just a horrible design mess. Brann and Reno are terrible, and Elise is SO slow. Unless they updated her.
Reno Jackson consistently wins random "favourite community card" contests and it's always seen play in viable decks both when he was in standard and now in wild.
In what world does "terrible" seem like an accurate description of such a card to you?
In that it's horribly designed and they could have printed an updated version like they did with the Dragon Aspects.
People like it because it bails them out against aggro, not because it's well designed. Brann will probably be more annoying, though.
Oh yeah, clearly the card that consistently is neither too powerful without restriction nor too weak to be useful is badly designed.
It's a single card that wins you the game in certain match ups, or bails you out in other attrition matches. It's like Keleseth. Either you draw it, and your deck works really, really well. Or you don't and your deck sucks. That's bad design.
The highlander cards in Year of the Dragon were a lot better because:
A) You had more than one of them. So your deck wasn't just limited to the single important card.
B) The cards were more useful and specific, but less powerful overall.
Reno's also limited to a specific game state. If your opponent is playing aggressively, he's a godsend. If they're not he's terrible. It's just... for something like highlander, you want multiple versatile cards.
Very different game states imo. Highlander nowadays will be way easier to punish cuz combo was buffed af last year, not to mention it is much harder to outlast aggro now with stuff like the Juggernaut and card draw everywhere. Only running one of each is a much higher deckbuilding cost in todays meta I think.
Also like how they're putting Tar Creeper into the core set, you know, the card that everyone knew was broken but didn't want to say anything cause it was needed.
broken? lol
Tar Creeper is one of the most balanced cards they have ever released
Aggro player detected.
It's debatably a very centralizing anti-aggro card. It's not broken in that you play it and it just wins games, but it will probably be in like 90% of decks.
Granted they *BUFFED* Azure Drake. Which is insane.
