Piloted Sky Golem is pretty crap; much worse than Piloted Shredder.  They don't occupy the same spot, obviously, but there are far better 6 drops.  Nothing replaces the lovely Sylvanas Windrunner, but Loatheb, (or even Cairne Bloodhoof or The Black Knight), is a more reasonable choice than sky golem.  To The ThirdMan; no TGT Legendaries are better than Sylvie.  All of them are arguably worse, and only a couple are nearly as powerful.

So yes, craft her.  You won't regret it.

    posted a message on Revenge

Since removing 1 copy of Cruel Taskmaster, and Baron Geddon, (they don't work well with Varian Wrynn), from my Control Warrior deck, I've been running 2 copies of Revenge, along with 1 Bash, 1 Brawl, and the usual two each of Execute, Shield Slam, Fiery War Axe, and Death's Bite.  It's been working quite well.

For you guys running Alex + Ragnaros in the same deck. Do you Rag turn 8 even if you plan to Alex turn 9? What if you didn't draw Alex yet? These two do not sinergize that well IMO... I only run one of them if I'm not running the other. Makes sense? Ysera on the other hand...

No, I don't necessarily just toss Rag out on 8, regardless of the rest of my hand.  Yes, their effects can potentially conflict, but if playing Alex would heal your opponent or harm you, then just hold onto her until it makes sense to play her, (e.g. after your opponent uses a Healbot or two to recover from Rag's fireballs).  Both Rag and Alex need to be timed well to have the impact that they should, and neither should be played simply because you have the mana to do so.  It's not as though there aren't plenty of other threats in the deck, and whatever cards you use to make your opponent vulnerable; the majority of your wins are going to come through Grom bursting them down.

I might seem stupid but why is this card so good in arena?

Because three 1/1's and a 1/4 weapon for 3 mana is incredibly good value.  Even if the Silver Hand Recruits don't get buffed, Muster for Battle will almost always go 2 for 1, or better.

posted a message on Pricing for New Hero Skins

There are several heroes in Heroes of the Storm that are around $5.  The skins are around $10 there also.  I guess Blizz just figures that if you've got enough disposable income to choose alternate pixels to watch while playing their game; $10 is about appropriate for that.  I will say that it seems like you get more for your $ with the HotS skins; as they clearly take more work to generate than a slightly animated portrait, new card back, and emotes.

If the skins aren't worth it to you, just don't buy em.  I doubt I'll buy any, simply because they seem pointless, and the original heroes for each class are more fitting than the B list WoW characters that are the alternates.

We're running the same list, except that I'm using Nefarian instead of Ysera. Will probably craft her later, but the deck is still running pretty smooth.

I think Ragnaros s better than Nefarian. Nefarian give you some shitty spells sometimes and is very disappointing...

True true. Don't have Ragnaros, so I can't really speak for one or another. But sure, sometimes you get crap, and sometimes you get something really good.

I like Ragnaros the Firelord because it's relatively easy for Warrior to manipulate the board to "aim" him.  Both he and Nefarian are vulnerable to Big Game Hunter, but rarely will Nefarian give you 8 dmg worth of spells, and whatever he does give you won't kill a giant for free, (or hit the opponent for 8), that turn.  Rag has RNG, but it's much easier to predict than 2 random spells.  He's also 1 mana cheaper, and the difference between 8 and 9 mana is significant.

Now in Dragon Warrior, Nefarian is a must include, to support the Blackwing Corruptors.  In Control Warrior, I don't think he makes much sense.

CW is definitely underrepresented on ladder, with everyone gettin' in here.

Anyway, this is my current list:

    DO Somethin'
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (17) Ability (9) Weapon (4)
    Loading Collection

Ragnaros the Firelord has earned his spot in the deck 100x over.  Since he's at least 8 guaranteed damage, he gives your deck more aggression and/or removal.  I much prefer him to Ysera; the queen of slowww RNG, (and also the single worst card to have stolen by Shrinkmeister shenanigans).

Gorehowl is typically excellent as well.  The value you can get from it is insane, and it's also potential burst that few opponents even consider playing around.  I love 'howling down the main body of Dr. Boom, rather than burning more precious removal that can take down larger threats.

I like having 1 Whirlwind effect aside from the 2 x Death's Bite, and Revenge has been a pretty great replacement.  It has brought me back from the brink when playing against Mech Mage, more than once.  Half the time, it only costs 1 mana, thanks to Emperor Thaurissan, but even at 2, you can use it as a Grommash Hellscream activator on 10 mana.

    Ymmv.

ETA: I recently took out the second Sludge Belcher for Harrison Jones, and I might revert that change, or take something else out for Harrison.  Harrison's only really in there for the Patron match up, and I'm still not convinced he's even necessary.

posted a message on How do you get past rank 12 without legendaries?

By "dead" I mean no longer worth a spot in a 30 card deck.  Some of them did need a slight tweak, but instead were crushed by the nerf bat. The worst of them are Blood Imp and Starving Buzzard.  I'd rather they'd been deleted from the game entirely because they now just serve to weaken Bane of Doom and Webspinner, respectively.

posted a message on Blood Imp

Imo, this card is pretty awful since the overnerf it was subjected to.  I could live with the fact that it's just a Young Priestess with Stealth, but zero Attack?  You can't even get rid of this chump without using another card to buff it, and that's ridiculous.  I'd rather they just removed it from the game, as it now serves to weaken Bane of Doom.  RIP, Blood Imp.  We had some good times, back in the day.

It used to be easier before they nerfed undertaker.

RIP Undertaker.  I think I have seen you one time since the nerf.  I think I've seen Starving Buzzard twice, so maybe even nerfed a bit harder than Buzzard.  And about the same number of times I've seen Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Leeroy Jenkins.

When they nerf a card they really nerf it.

Sylvanas Windrunner is still used in almost every non-aggro deck, despite having been nerfed.

Sylvie's an exception to the rule.  Her unique Deathrattle makes her easily worth it, (in control decks), even after the change.  One can't say the same for the majority of cards Blizz "adjusted".

Nat Pagle - dead, Tinkmaster Overspark- dead, Gadgetzan Auctioneer - mostly dead, Leeroy Jenkins - slightly more common with Emperor Thaurissan's introduction, but mostly dead, Blood Imp - dead, Undertaker - dead, Starving Buzzard - dead, etc...

To the OP: play faster, more aggressive decks, or craft a BGH, (at the minimum).  400 dust is definitely worth spending on a powerful Epic.

posted a message on Priest > midrange

To beat a control Priest when playing midrange Hunter, you gotta SMOrc it up.  Don't trade unless it helps you do more damage.  You have to get them low enough to finish with burn before they can stabilize.  It really helps if you run 2 x Quick Shot.

Man, the golden version stands out with that animation.  Too bad the name so literally describes the card.  Junkbot is garbage.  If it had Charge, (even with the terrible 1/5 base stats), it would see play, and make for some very interesting games.

I think this is an underrated card.  Yes, it's only powerful in the right situations, but those times can be epic.  Giving your entire board Stealth can virtually ensure lethal the following turn, and makes some ultra-tempo, risky cards like Fel Reaver, a lot more potent. ;)

I'm trying one Fel Reaver in my Oil/Mech Rogue deck.  If it gets at least 1 hit to the face, the opponent is unlikely to recover.  The Fel Reaver, Iron Sensei, Conceal plays are real!  Just make sure you've got burn already in hand before you try it. ;)

posted a message on best counter for tempo mage?

Handlock, Midrange Druid, Oil Rogue, and Mech Shaman are all favored against Tempo Mage.

The last 5 I played against, I beat with my own Mage; a blend of Mech and Tempo which seems to work very well.  Here's that deck, if you're curious: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/258669-mechanized-warfare
