HooliganPolygon posted a message on Paladin Reveal - Dragon Speaker & Bronze HeraldPosted in: NewsI share all of your hopes. I think Blizzard is hinting for upcoming Dragon Paladin archetype for a long time, so it's possible to see a legendary dragon for Paladin.

Dunscot posted a message on Paladin Reveal - Dragon Speaker & Bronze HeraldPosted in: NewsI really like Bronze Herald. It's an Igneous Elemental for Dragons, that really helps you to keep a good board presence. I actually think the 3/2 statline works even better on this than the 2/3. Just a very good, solid card, and not only for Dragon-oriented decks. Also, I like it that they finally get back to giving more bronze dragons to Paladin, so many years after Dragon Consort.
As for Dragon Speaker... +3/+3 on multiple minions is a LOT, if you can have your hand full of dragons. But after I played quite a bit with handbuffs, I even used Glowstone Technician in Even Paladin for some time, I personally found these buffs much more useful when you can put them on small minions to summon multiple medium-sized threats instead of a single big one.
In other words, I don't like Dragon Speaker too much unless there are some more 1-2 mana Dragons in this or future sets. But the card itself is pretty decent.

GetchX posted a message on New Card Reveal - Untamed BeastmasterPosted in: NewsGuarantee you there will be a 5 mana hunter spell or minion that draws you a beast or two from your deck.
...Or there will be a 5 mana druid spell that will draw 3 beasts from your deck, reduces their cost by 3 mana each, summons Malygos and removes your opponents deck.

Well equality at 2 mana is really strong. But paladin's problem has always been other AOE damage. I mean, they have equality + cons or pyro. That's it... Other classes have so much more options to deal with a board. Being able to only run two boardclears is what justified that low mana cost of the effect..

Ok, so the deathrattle of Immortal Prelate says it keeps any enchantments. Does this entail deathrattle enchantments? Seems to me like it would. Because if so, this card would actually gain 6 deathrattles when played the following time, 9 deathrattles after that and so on...
Either way, I'm going to try it. And even if it doesn't work that way, play it anyways.
I'm itching to play a decent and actually fun Paladin again!

Fun fact no one seems to know about: The health restored doesn't need to be to your hero.
Just as with Lesser Pearl Spellstone and The Glass Knight, restoring health to your minions counts towards the requirement.

I know how you feel. I've been in the exact same situation as you.
I'm a players that likes to play competitive in any game that I play. And I always focus on one aspect or class in a game. In WoW it was Druid, in HotS it's Tyrael, in shootergames it's sniping. And in hearthstone it's Paladin.
My goal in Hearthstone was to reach Legend rank. And when I tried to reach it, Patron warrior was the main deck on ladder. A deck that completely crushed Paladin. It got me so salty.
So I quit Hearthstone for 1 week. Came back online and altered my deck a bit to counter especially Patron warrior.
I reached Legend rank another week later, and the game has been double the fun since. Because after I reached Legend I didn't feel the need to reach it again. Any deck that I played (dragon paladin, divine shield paladin, control paladin, ... :P ) were good enough because they were fun to play. I'm now sitting between rank 15 and 8 or so with random decks for a couple of months in a row. I still want to win my games, but don't care if I lose. Because I had fun.
I have no idea if this answer is going to help you. But that's just the way I dealt with it. So I hope it might work for you :-)

Ok, so I got Flame Imp against me 3 times in a row. After about 10 games, already starting to dislike this card...

Changes that I made (Rank 6 on ladder atm):
- Sylvanas Windrunner, testing both her and Emperor Thaurissan in this deck, don't know which one is best yet.
- Loatheb, the deck already has a lot of 5-drops with good stats.
- The Black Knight, I never have trouble removing their taunts.
I guess you're really facing a lot of druids. So I understand why you put these legendaries in the deck. But I feel druids aren't a problem to win against. Anyways, here are the subs I put in:
+ Antique Healbot
+ Cult Master
+ Ironbeak Owl
Antique Healbot is in here because I found the aggro matchup pretty hard. I might be doing something wrong here but the 8 health often keeps me alive while going in for lethal.
It's also pretty good against druid to stay out of combo range when they get a fast start. Grim Warrior is also a thing now so the heal might buy you some more time to draw into Equality - Consecration or a taunt or something.
Cult Master still has synergie with the 1 Muster for Battle and your hero power. I often found myself with very few cards in hand in the control matchups. Especially against priest. So it's quite obvious why this a choice I made. With wing 3 this will probably be replaced with Solemn Vigil.
Ironbeak Owl, just don't feel safe without it. Sylvanas Windrunner can screw you over if you don't have a silence. Also silencing key minions like Warsong Commander, Hobgoblin, Mechwarper, ... can mess with your opponents entire deck strategy. Also faced a lot of zoo, and I absolutely hate Nerubian Egg. And because I took out The Black Knight I really felt in need of a silence for minions like Tirion Fordring and Ancient of War.
I'm happy to see a pretty good Dragon Pally deck in week 3 already. But most important thing is: This deck is so much fun to play!! Congrats!

Already had a guy turn 3 blademaster into turn 4 double resurrect. And I thought to myself "Wtf, ressuREKT".

Very fun deck to play. Playing at rank 4 and winning about 50% of the matchups. I'm not yet very familiar with the decklist so I expect this rating to go up.
You can completely lock down a mech mage with Molten + healbot + sunfury. I'ts a great feeling to see them think for a couple of seconds and then concede the game ;-)
Swapped Loatheb for harrison because I seem to face a lot of hunter/warrior/paladin.
Also swapped Mind control tech for Sen'jin shieldmasta. I think this makes the deck a little more consistent against a greater variety of classes.

I've been playing a very similar deck to this one for a while now. Although mine was a bit slower.
really like the two piloted shredders, i had a senjin and a cult master in that spot.
another difference was sylvannas instead of avenging wrath, that one saved me the first match i swapped it out. Equality + avenging was godlike against that handlock! Awesome finishing power to clear his board and still hit him in the face for 5.
at this point i only have an owl instead of one juggler and put in bomb lobber for bolvar (missing bolvar). Can't miss that one silence.. Bomb lobber is also really doing work against any class. Solid removal!
thanks for sharing!

Everyone whining about him being silenced..
That means your tirion has less chance to be silenced, or sylvannas, or cairne, or your belchers, or even the opponents aldor'd giant ... In a pally deck, there are a lot of creatures that can be silenced. Bolvar soaking up 1 means more value for your other creatures. Or if you play out the other threats first, your opponent won't have a silence left in his hand for bolvar.
The last game I played with him I drew him in my hand at around half of my deck, kept him for two turns and came out as a 7-7 afterwards. He soaked up a pyroblast..
Value-wise he can indeed suck, and i'm definately not saying he's the best legendary out there, even in the 5-slot. But he really isn't that bad as everyone makes him out to be.
