Disclaimer: I started playing this game when The Grand Tournament came out. I have never experienced Classic in its prime.
What does everyone think of Classic Mode so far? Personally, I think it's fun. Or it was at first. I have a lot of the cards for all of the meta decks, so I got to try out everything I wanted to. In my opinion, what it does right is supply a nice feeling of nostalgia. It's nice to be able to experience what many initial players got to when this game first dropped. I will say it isn't fully immersive due to the ability to use newer Hero Skins, but I can't complain about that. I also like the lack of Discover and the game heavily relying on RNG as a whole. My only major complaint is that it kind of feels like a Tavern Brawl in the sense that options are very limited, and you will be playing against the same core cards under the same gimmick every game. At this point in time, it almost makes every game somewhat predictable. I'm sure the novelty will rub off for many sooner than later. Overall, I think it was nice of them to add this feature in the game, and I look forward to potential Classic updates in the future.
It feels a lot like World of Warcraft to me, which I like a lot. I assume this was their goal, and I think they've succeeded. Thematically it fits very well
Has Blizzard said anything about their plans with this card? I would hope for the ability to disenchant it upon rotation, but I have a feeling that isn't going to be the case. My main point of reference so far would be SN1P-SN4P, as that was a free Gold Legendary given players, but the main difference between these two cards is that SN1P-SN4P is still playable.
Bonemare should not go back to 7. Odd aggro decks do not need access to this card. If anything, they should make it +5/+5 instead to make it feel better at 8.
Flametongue Totem is another card I would be careful with. If I recall correctly, the main reason they nerfed this to 3 mana was because of how effective it was in Even Shaman. Not sure how I would fix it though.
Also, a general question. Why do people say Patches the Pirate is a strong card?
Tar Creeper is number one for me. Arguably one of the most balanced cards ever created. I would also like to see some cards like Devolve and Mass Hysteria return. Also, since there is some support in recent sets, I think Fire Plume's Heart would also be an acceptable choice.
reworked rez mechanic: if you rez a minion from the dead pool, it gets removed from the dead pool, as it has been rez'ed and is no longer dead. (so priests cant intentionally kill a minion and ressurect 5 copies)
I actually like this a lot. I've never really thought of this before, and I think this is an excellent idea that tones down the power level of this deck without killing it.

I'm not sure I understand what happened from the screenshot.
Also, if you exit the game and log back on, you will join the game in the state it's supposed to be in.

When is the first day we can set up Fireside Gatherings to open up packs early?

Those are all great additions. Thank you

What are some core cards that would be included in an Even Mage deck when Barrens hits?
So far, here's what I've got:
Barrens: Wildfire, Reckless Apprentice, and Mordresh Fire Eye.
Hero Power Package: Fallen Hero, Manafeeder Panthara, Garrison Commander, Coldarra Drake, and Spirit of the Dragonhawk.
(Maybe Ice Walker)
Flex Picks: Astromancer Solarian, Runed Orb, Blizzard, and The Amazing Reno.
Any help is appreciated.

This will be the biggest Wild Meta shake up since the format was introduced. Very excited to see what happens.

That just means you can get them for free by playing Demon Hunter instead of having to unpack or craft them

I also noticed two other cards in the live stream. Stormwatcher and Tidal Surge, except Tidal Surge had Lifesteal.

I have two issues with cards you've listed.

Extremely disappointed about Whizbang staying in Wild. What a missed opportunity to just bring the card back

You can nerf three cards to tone down the power level of prevalent Wild decks. What do you choose?
Raza the Chained - Up to 7 or 8 mana. Makes the card much slower without killing the archetype.
Kingsbane - Up to 2 mana. Honestly not sure why this card is 1 mana anyway.
Cloud Prince - Can only target minions.
