Sorcerer's Apprentice nerf idea is a little too complicated. I honestly think it would just be best off if they made it so they couldn't cost less than 1 mana. As for Stealer of Souls, I think a mechanical change is the only thing necessary. If you are Overloaded 10 Mana, you can't play anything that costs Mana. Simple as that. Why should you be able be able to play cards that cost Health when you don't actually pay the price? However, I totally agree with your changes to Secret Mage. I also think Cloud Prince should only be able to target minions. That deck cheats out way too many cards and damage points, and it's been that way for as long as I can remember.
This is a genuine question. I have been playing this game since Old Gods came out, and I conveniently can't remember a time Mage didn't have a top tier deck in Wild. I am also curious what tools exactly enable this class to do so well. Fireball and Ice Block are two cards that you can always find, but I doubt that is exclusive to why it is such a powerful class. In the same breath, when is the last time Hunter had a Tier 1 deck? I don't ever remember seeing this class shine in Wild.
It's that time of year again. The last time I made a thread like this was with the release of Rise of Shadows. So community, what is your current favorite expansion to date and why? My tied two are still GvG and Knights of the Frozen Throne, but I do have to say, Uldum has left quite an impression. With 17 whole expansions in the game, not including adventures, I'm sure each one has its own following. I look forward to hearing everyone's current thoughts and opinions!
A little early for a reveal already, but behold, a Tweet right from the Hearthstone Twitter:
Additionally, I was able to find some cards from the official Blizzard Facebook Page:
I don't know about everyone else, but this sure is exciting. I can't wait to see what other wacky cards and combos come from this promising mini expansion!
Disclaimer: I started playing this game when The Grand Tournament came out. I have never experienced Classic in its prime.
What does everyone think of Classic Mode so far? Personally, I think it's fun. Or it was at first. I have a lot of the cards for all of the meta decks, so I got to try out everything I wanted to. In my opinion, what it does right is supply a nice feeling of nostalgia. It's nice to be able to experience what many initial players got to when this game first dropped. I will say it isn't fully immersive due to the ability to use newer Hero Skins, but I can't complain about that. I also like the lack of Discover and the game heavily relying on RNG as a whole. My only major complaint is that it kind of feels like a Tavern Brawl in the sense that options are very limited, and you will be playing against the same core cards under the same gimmick every game. At this point in time, it almost makes every game somewhat predictable. I'm sure the novelty will rub off for many sooner than later. Overall, I think it was nice of them to add this feature in the game, and I look forward to potential Classic updates in the future.

When are we getting that other mercenary game mode they mentioned at the beginning of the year?

I don't understand

I'm very sorry you feel that way

If Sorcerer's Apprentice and Kabal Lackey just got hit with the Summoning Portal treatment, Mage would be so much better off

Not sure why they're still allowing Mage to be so powerful in Wild

The satire and sad reality behind the Doomhammer nerf made this entire post for me

I would appreciate some Wild love this time around. Secret Mage in addition to the cycle Mage decks could use a tone down in power

Do you get one for free or do you have to pay for it? $20 seems a little steep

I would rework it to: "Secret: When your opponent casts a spell, you cast it too. (With random targets.)"

I'm not sure I understand what happened from the screenshot.
Also, if you exit the game and log back on, you will join the game in the state it's supposed to be in.
