You have to keep in mind that one of, if not THE best Warrior player is calling it a staple in Control Warrior. It's not confirmation bias when you realize that the best Warrior player we have is calling it a staple. If your reading comprehension is as good as your sass, you'll find yourself a seat and sit down.

He said "I think" and "should be a 1 of" implying he still needs to do more testing with it in Control Warrior. Like I said a few times, it fits much better into Odd Warrior than other archetypes since they have a worse card pool to draw from and can utilize weapons better.

also don't be mad now. When GvG came out I found Dr.Boom SEVEN TIMES. Now it's just a matter of time and you get all you want.

That's awful dude, so glad they fixed it so you don't get duplicates. Worst I had was 6 Soggoth the Slitherer in Whispers of the Old Gods.

It's basically a worse Recruit Warrior in Standard. Well it has a few minor advantages, but lacking decent early clears really makes it a lot more vulnerable.

Realistically it does have some good targets - such as Hunter Spellstone, some Zoo or Rogue boards, but a lot of other minions/decks you can weaken the effect of this card by quite a bit with smart positioning. I am not convinced you would really play it in anything other than Odd Warrior - but that's because Odd Warrior gets quite a lot more armor to utilize weapons safely and has a lot fewer options for removal.

Spoilers: Card's still trash. It's just catching some people by surprise because, believe it or not, no one's running it because it sucks.

I would say that's not true, just that barely anyone is playing Warrior atm (for good reason) every Odd Warrior I ran into did run this card. I am still leaning towards trash, but it's a marginal case in Odd Warrior (I'm sure it will get worse with next expansion).

I prefer Lesser Mithril Spellstone in Recruit decks since you run 5 weapons (2 weapon projects, 2 blood razor and woecleaver) you can get a fairly big tempo push for 7 mana (which is generally better than what you will get from assembly).

The people who think that removing quests or gold will have any impact are simply naive to human nature.  Some people just play to upset you - for them, your grief is the victory.  There will never be a constructed format without netdecks and a 'best' deck, regardless of what limits, conditions, or rules are imposed - as soon as you can choose what cards to put in, people will 'look up' what is the best.  I think a sealed league is the only possible constructed where this doesn't occur, but that has its own issues.

If the incentive to win is taken away i.e. ranks/gold then of course you will have much less reason to go into this format with high tier decks. Sure, there are those who "just play to grief" but that should be a very small portion, since there are almost 0 mechanics that can allow for such behaviour. The most griefing you can do is rope or spam emotes and tbh both of those things are extremely rare in 5 years of playing HS.

All you want is a NEW game mode with 0 gold involved.

No need to twist an existing game mode you dislike, generating side-effects for the majority of players that use it every day with no problems (including no problems at pushing *concede* whenever they want).

Well what would you call that game mode? I can't see Team 5 doing this, they are very strict on what they add to the U.I. and extra constructed format which is mechanically the same as an existing one seems highly unlikely.

Casual has rewards purely because of all the folks with ladder anxiety, I can see no other reason for it. It's true that the mode would actually be a lot more varied if there were no rewards, but I think Team 5 try to cater to as wide a demographic as possible.

posted a message on Shaman, Warrior And Mage Are Dead Classes?

Odd Warrior is legit, Even and Midrange Shaman are both solid decks I would argue Mage is the 2nd weakest class overall though after Priest. I mean ofc you can still win with tempo Mage but it's nothing that great in terms of overall winrate.

posted a message on [5 to legend] 40% of ladder is Warlock. Where is meta going?

I think Control Warlock is actually pretty balanced atm, sure it has great clears and Gul'dan but you can out value them with Control/Recruit Warrior, Quest Priest and even Big Spell Mage. Those matchups do often just come down to who gets the DK first (less so with Warrior and Priest).

Zoo on the other hand got a massive boost from the expansion with Soul Infusion and Doubling Imp , these cards along with Fungalmancer makes damage based clears much less useful and so gives them a bigger edge vs control. Soul Infusion in particular allows them to pump out stats too fast for the defensive tools to handle or allows rather large burst damage from hand.

Still the age of old problem of how to mulligan vs Warlock, you can either get punished by mountain giants or punished by not having early removal/AoE.

posted a message on Dr. Boom Control

As Shudderwock your best bet is to play it early as possible (ideally without Grumble) vs this deck and try to win with the help of random Hagatha cards (Maybe even tech in Elise for the value). It's possible, but you have to know they are running this deck at the start, and whoever draws Hagatha or Boom early will make a big difference.

I think also Shudderwocks will run Elementary Reaction which can also help on the value side of things.

Bomb Lobber got played in Control Warrior. This is a Bomb Lobber thats better against aggro.

The last thing Warrior needs is help vs aggro, they are literally the best class at beating aggro decks.

posted a message on New Legendary Shaman Spell - The Storm Bringer

It can make Kalimos, Primal Lord better with his mini elemental option. I mean I'm not sure how many board fill cards you want in your deck, Onyxia ? Primalfin Totem has also been mentioned by others and I think that is a reasonable standalone card. However it will become some kind of value Shaman deck and we all know how well those do in the meta :S

Hmmmm, well I don't see it being competitive, but it can sure be fun. I do think it should be a bit cheaper since the effect is not particularly good for it's cost.

This, Mecha'thun + Dark Pact I prefer it over the Druid version with Naturalize because Warlock has very consistent board clears to meet the empty battlefield condition.
