If you had never crafted the Golden Version in the first place, you'd still gain 1600.
Start with 4000 Dust + Regular Ragnaros. Craft Golden Rag for 3200, leaving you at 800. After the patch, you are refunded your 3200, bringing you back to 4000. Then you disenchant him for 1600 bringing you to 5600 + your regular Ragnaros.
Start with 4000 + Regular Ragnaros. Do nothing. After the patch, you gain 1600 for having a regular Ragnaros leaving you at 5600 + your regular Ragnaros.
Both scenarios leave you with the same dust count + the same card. There is no way to gain dust in this scenario and in fact you lose 1600 dust if you already have the regular version and decide to craft the golden version and keep him. You have to decide if you'd rather have 1600 dust or a golden version of a legendary moving to Wild.
The goal is to play as many murlocs as possible and after the first game I found that the murlocs from Anyfin do not count toward your quest. I made the following modifications and went 8-0 at Rank 25 Wild. Two games opponent conceded turn 3, another turn 2. Frustrating.
I went 10-1 with this deck while getting my free packs last night. I made the armorsmith switch to monkeys before starting. My one loss was to Reno Cthun Lock, after which I swapped out Rag for Alex. In both games vs Reno Lock afterward, an Alex to the face right after Reno brought on concedes. I also ended up switching Cairne out for TBK after a couple of games. Meta currently runs taunt heavy and Cairne 5 health just isn't as solid as it once was.
After playing 3 huntards in a row to open my session, I switched over to my anti-huntard Druid, which wrecks huntards into the ground and has to get lucky to beat anything else. Lucky for me, 6 of my next 8 games are huntard, which I win handily, and taunt the shit out of all 6 of them the entire time. Half of them friend me, to which I accept, paste "your opinion means nothing, you're playing huntard" before they can type anything and remove friend. You know this game is going to hell when it's more satisfying to grind a huntard into the ground and rub their face in it than it is to get legend or win 12 games in arena.

Should have gone 12-0, but ran into Deathwing early in the run.

No clue how this abomination made it to 12 wins. I was sure I was done at 8-2, 4 wins later, shocked.
