Just checked the meta (Americas) on HSreplay and I have to say. The diversity of the classes (8 Classes!!) in Tier 1 and 2 is the best I have seen in a long time. Now the meta has not settled yet post mini set but I do hope that it will stay like this.
-Mage is struggeling, but no minion mage is close to 50%
-Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Hunter and DH all have one 50%+ archetype each, but only Warrior and Hunter are the true one-trick-ponies.
-Rogue, Shaman and Druid are in a very good spot.
If something is missing in standard, it is probably control and combo decks. There are plenty of different viable aggro, tempo and mid-range decks, most of them being heavily board based.
Not complaining, though, the class balance does seem good, and the clear 2 top decks, Deathrattle DH and Face Hunter both have solid counters.
Shaman got a good card draw and a gigantic buff in Wailing Vapor. That card is easily 5 stars, the new Tunnel Trogg. It's sad that the good Shaman deck is another aggro, though. I wish it would be a control deck.
Objectively, it's much better so far (though meta hasn't settled yet). Subjectively, it's still uninteresting for me, because Warlock got weaker. None of the new cards helped him and Mutanus the Devourer gave slower decks a counter to Tickatus (Priest especially). Team 5 most likely decided that Warlock shouldn't be anything more than a meme in standard.
Is this thread a joke? It is nice to see Shaman return and I've been playing Shaman, but this is not a good meta.
The only good thing about this meta is that if you are Shaman and draw well, the games are fun.
And if you are Shaman in the mirror match, hope you go first.
My experience on ladder (as Shaman) is either I run into a competitive matchup (Warrior, Hunter) or the mirror (yay!) or I run into the very unlucky Druid or Warlock. Supposedly I should lose against Demon Hunter but my deck runs Lightning Bloom so I may have inappropriate early turns.
I know diversity is good but it when 80% of games are against aggro theres no diversity, the differences are that cards of different classes hit your face without even thinking on another play
Fine fine but does this site also tell you why i stopped playing for a couple of days? Because i had 9 Paladins in a row and all of them played almost the same cards at the same turns.
You might just run a bad deck, Shaman is extremely strong now. I took legend in 3 hours yesterday with 71% WR, fighting very well against all meta classes.
No clue what kind of drugs you took saying its a healthy meta, but its anything BUT a healthy meta. There is the exact same thing as before, only hunters are far above the rest now

So true… he probably won a couple of games

Amazing what shaman can do with a little card draw, some synergy, and an actual T1 play.
I just checked the Diamond to legend numbers.
-Warlock is the worst class by far.
-Mage is struggeling, but no minion mage is close to 50%
-Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Hunter and DH all have one 50%+ archetype each, but only Warrior and Hunter are the true one-trick-ponies.

Agreed and not being queued against the same decks over and over again is so refreshing!

yeah, the standard meta is so far great!
I just hope they fix up wild, its been kinda a mess for a long time, and Stealer of Soulshas only compounded the problem

will this meta ever get betta???? yes it will
Shaman is in good place ? What archetype is that coz i ve seen none on ladder yet.
Elemental Aggro and Doomhammer builds are both very strong.
Let's pray! :P

the meta is pure trash yet again.
Fvcking evolve shaman returning, every turn the board is full, no way to clear that sh1t 6 times in a row. etc
Stealer of Souls says hi.
Lol, except stealer of souls but otherwise honestly yeah it's pretty good man
