I'm a top 500 legend player (although because of the luck factor discussed later in this post I've gone 10-45 in my last 55 ranked ladder games and am currently rank 3370 legend). I'm CONVINCED my account has been tagged for negative-RNG or whatever you want to call it.
This is literally impossible. I play poker for a living. I completely understand variance.
I dare someone to come spectate. You'll watch 2 and your mind will be blown. Or, the fact that you're watching will change the settings on my account and I'll win the first game and be 1-60.
Either way, it's a win for me.
I should state that I'm OK with all of this. I know my account has something funky with it's RNG settings happening, so how can I get mad?
You played 60 Tavern Brawls? I'd honestly stop after like 5 and skip that useless pack.
And seriously tho, another 'rigged RNG' thread? There is 0 confirmation for that. Losing 60 games in a row, if what you say is true, might seem very unlikely, but it's certainly possible.
Not to mention being a top Legend player doesn't make your RNG better, so IDK why you even mentioned that.
I played 7 games in a row and lost them all, finally winning my 8th game because my opponent conceded before the game even got started. I thought that was bad enough. I would have stopped at 10 though. It's not worth the punishment. Not for one pack.
No matter how many times you flip the coin, the chances of it being heads or tails is still 50/50...
This is supposed to happen. You concede on turn 2 until you get a god mode starting hand and make the opponent concede on turn 2. Sometimes it takes 60 attempts.
I definitely think there’s some sort of corrective mechanic built into card draw and matchmaking. Win too much and your draws get weighted different (which hilariously favors low curve decks and why aggro never truely dies). If your class has a bad matchup you’re more likely to see it if you’re winning a lot. This is all impossible to prove but there’s enough incidents of hilariously unlikely outcomes and weird coincidences that you’d be hard pressed to make me believe it’s not the case.

Not about my legend rank affecting RNG, it's that I am skilled enough to win a game given equal RNG!
dude that sounds so unbelieveable that I literally cannot believe :D
honestly if I was in a losing streak for tavern brawl for like 7 games at max, I would just ask a friend to challenge me in the tavern brawl, friend lets me win, I get the pack, and I would be out until next week.
if I was in US server I would wanna see your games too
well, to conclude, if you are not trolling, better luck next time :D
Man, 60 games is a lot, I mean, it's even hard to believe.
Still, I am not sure what would be their profit in tagging certain players with bad RNG, and how would that be worth even making code for this. I mean, would that be supposed to even the odds, if you win a lot you have to volunteer some wins to other players? But wouldn't it be better and easier to just adjust matchmaking for players with very high winratio, so they would just run into other players with very high winratio even more likely than with the 'usual' matchmaking system?
I mean, I guess that companies usualy tend to be greedy, so there might be a point in accusing them of rigging the game, but that is as long as it has any sense for them to do so, and I do not see much use in giving certain players 'bad RNG'.
Come watch this outrageous claim, but if by watching you somehow mystically break the RNG curse, I win anyway.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
That is some epic bad luck, but I still think no cheat. I mean if such a "hex" existed I would have been hit by it long ago. I badmouth Blizzard all the time, I am protesting their choices and giving them no money, and I used to do this openly on their forums. Yet back then my RNG (in packs) was amazing now that I look back on it. My current one feels shit in comparison but if I am objective even my current RNG is decent, average at worst.
Anyway hope things turn around for you, as someone said challenge a buddy and win the pack that way.
Also now I am curious how I will do in the brawl, been thinking to play some games.
I think it’s obvious to many of us that rng is to an extend controlled by the algorithm rather than random.
There are cases in both standard and bgs when it’s obvious that the way things go must be controlled by software rather than a coincidence.
regarding the tavern brawl, I have a spare phone with an alt account - I just play against it and job done in seconds
Ironically, unlikely coincidences is a sign of true randomness. It's like Apple shuffle playlist algorithm, when it was truly random, people complained that it's not random so they adjusted it to feel "more random" instead of true random. Hearthstone is a competitive game so it's important to keep it truly random even if it feels not that random for conspiracy theorists. In reality it's just your brain searching for patterns all the time.

You should at least photoshop some screenshots before presenting that many far-fetched claims;-)

its a common practice in gaming matchmaking algorithms to prefer the player with lower engagement level, the workaround is to logout and stay out few days. this will lower your engagement score and improve your RNG till next time. this applies to pack opening as well, not just game RNG.

You clearly don't understand tavern brawl.

I just admire the set up to this thread.

This is why i have a second account dedicated to lose to my main account in tavern brawls, easy peasy.
