I play res priest unabashedly now. I have a positive winrate against shaman and if they win, they have to keep the pressure up much longer than normal. At the very least, I can play priest and not feel guilty.
It’s too consistent and too relentless for a format where aggro is weak. 4 copies of the weapon to mulligan for and up to 8 charges is too tenacious for most control decks to handle without heavy, heavy weapon tech. If there was more in the way of viable aggro to keep it honest, it wouldn’t be so problematic, just a midrange control killer with an exploitable weakness like it should be. Unfortunately the most reliable aggro deck we have at our disposal now is zoolock, which feeds the fleshshaper/giant engine and is a 50/50 at best, making it ultra safe to ladder with Shaman.
As I’ve said before, if the best ladder strategy is to run double Stickyfinger in every deck, there is a problem with the meta.
Except the reason you run Stickyfinger is because the top FIVE classes in the meta are all weapon classes rn. After Shaman comes Pally with Truesilver, Hunter who has a legend weapon rn, Rogue who most are running quest, and DH who run multiple weaps.
6/10 classes have good stealable weapons rn.
Let’s not pretend we are running Stickyfingers to steal a Truesilver Champion. We run them because Boggspine is the Evolve Shaman win condition, and stealing it can also deny their hoard pillager. While I do agree that weapons in general are a touch overpowered right now, weapon tech isn’t required to beat these other classes like it is Shaman. I don’t know where on earth you’re running into quest Rogues right now either?
I've run into 4 quest rogues in mid plat so far, I'm too lazy to push rn. Combo rogue can also roll into a couple of weaps.
I'm not saying that you NEED It to beat those other classes, I'm saying that putting Stickyfinger in your deck to counter Shaman is perfectly viable and isn't going to gimp you against the rest of the meta.
one solution is that Blizzard would"Pseudo nerf" the Evolve mechanic maybe by favoring RNG of evolved minions into battle-cry more often compare to Taunt results or Death-Rattle minions.
Guess what, a tier one deck is op again...woooooowww....that's neeeeeewww... Stop complaining like kids people ... Just tech oozes and sticky...it's that simple... There will always be one or 2 top tier decks and there will always be people who complain abt it.

Ooze is no answer because of Hoard Pillager. Sticky is a good answer, but for me I just don't have the dust to be spending 800 on two copies of a tech card that will just rotate in 2 months. Hopefully the rotation dulls down Shaman and until then I'll just run quests.
The whole game has gone to shit. It’s the least amount of time I’ve ever spent playing an expansion. The next one better be worth it or I fear this is me last.

This is an awful solution. I hate hidden modifiers in arena drafting but that would be far, far worse. Random should be that - random
I would nerf Hoard Pillager to Battlecry: Equip one of your destroyed weapons that costs 3 or less. In addition to damaging evolve shaman, it will keep the pillager under control if some other good expensive weapons will become a reality.

If the synergies weren't broken, then nobody would play evolve mechanics. That's how you make an archetype viable, by breaking it.
What exactly is your argument here?
Pirate warrior, Dragon priests, Secret paladin. What do those have in common? Broken cards designed to make the archetype shine.
Why would anyone play evolve mechanics if not to cheat out some minions earlier than their mana cost?
So you agree with the OP or not?

You’re welcome, it’s winrate is even pretty good against the meta in general
OTK players suck.

I agree with OP but OP and others should understand that broken mechanics are what makes a deck viable.
Shaman and Rogue are both completely ridiculous at the moment. The balance team should be ashamed of themselves. The game is just awful right now.
Can't be ashamed if you don't have any shame.
Which is funny because control warrior beats both classes on ladder consistently

Nah. Shaman is fine stop it

The worse matchup for the evolve shaman deck is aggro demon hunter. Yet aggro demon hunter folds to about everything else in the meta.

I think those kind of deck exist because of how stupidly ranked mod designed. You want to reach legend? You have to use most efficient deck
I mean I just hit legend in 2 days exclusively using a control/fatigue Shaman with 6 AoEs and 0 weapons so I don’t think this is true at all.
