Without a doubt Corrupt the Waters is gonna be the next card to be hit with a nerf. Something tells me it's gonna get The Caverns Below treatment, which means it won't be nerfed enough and it will still be viable again and again which is annoying as hell. It's listed as a tier 2 deck on HSReplay which is incorrect it's tier 1 and easily the most popular deck in the game. It sucks that most players want to use this cheese deck but sometimes that's just what people enjoy. It is a more complex deck than people might realize because each turn requires a decent amount of thinking on managing discover effects and hand size but more times than not players get to turn their brain off and are able to just be very aggressive with Kobold Lackey, Weaponized Wasp, and Lifedrinker with all of the bounce effects that deck has.
This is a bit of a salt post but this nerf is going to happen so that's that.
I agree with you that it's one of the most popular and least interesting decks out right now, but not the strongest. I think atm priest has the most degenerate deck and inner fire/divine spirit are up next for a drastic change, or more likely even to be removed from standard. The team is really obsessed with class "identity" as of late and i can't see anything more opposed to that than combo priest.
I would personally like to see Lackey Totem changed to an 0/3 3 mana card. It's tricky to have an answer for it when coined out and if you getting so many lackeys out of it can be gg
A deck being Tier 1 does NOT mean that it is the most popular, but that it is (one of) the most powerful. Which does make Quest Shaman Tier 2, and not a likely candidate for a nerf.
I wish this would happen honestly. Seeing it on turn one is a lot like a turn one cleric/manh when back in the day, where the opponent either has to risk basically losing in the first few turns or play inefficiently to kill it as soon as possible.
It's a fun an interesting deck with lots of interesting decisions that isn't posting OP performance stats... EVERY class is doing something unfair right now, is this more unfair than the others? Stats point to no...
The quest should require more battlecries. Only six is a joke. And the reward shouldn't be doubling every battlecry on that turn, but only the first one.

Wahh I lost to shaman must go forum and complain ask for a nerf
As long as you can keep your head above 16 health, this deck should never really prove too much trouble to deal with. In fact, you should try Plot Twist Warlock against it. (I'm serious, it's insanely fun watching the despair as you repeatedly drop heals and taunt minions in the way until they fatigue to death.) I've played maybe 20-30 games against Quest Shamans so far and lost maybe once or twice due to bad draw RnG.
Other that that, there's plenty of decks that will run rings around Shaman right now. Try Quest Druid or Control Warrior as a start.
It has zero shot of being nerf'ed. Big fat goose egg. ZERO.
The whole point of the recent changes were to make the Quest decks from this e-pac playable. QS is one of the best. Mission accomplished. A nerf would undo all the work.

Now they just need to do somthing to improve the Mage, Hunter and Warrior quests. :-)

Blizz themselves aren't happy with divine spirit so it'll either have it's cost bumped to 4 mana or get hall of famed all together. As for any of the quests, if they get a nerf, their requirements may be bumped by 1 or 2.
Implying Blizzard's nerfs are anything more than putting every card name into a hat and walking into a room with the devs and saying "Discover a Card....... Now nerf it."
Nah. The deck is powerful but actually quite fun to play against..
The one thing in the deck that I really hate isn't even battlecry related, it's the charging 3/4 that trades then get's transmuted - the combo is unfair/unfun, and skilless. Reminds me of evolving mana cheated corridor creepers. That should be nerfed if anything.
Hey can I get a source on it being "easily the most popular deck in the game". The sources I checked have minimum 2 decks above it in popularity (highlander hunter and murloc paladin), typically more. Also a quick look on HS replay at decks with 1000+ played games has the best performing version of quest shaman at just 39th so not much to suggest it's too powerful either.
The funny thing is you hit the nail on the head regarding the worst side of the deck - the direct damage allowing for wins that shouldn't be possible. That has nothing to do with the quest though (and you even describe the more positive and complex side of that quest reward) so idk what this thread even is.

Jade shaman in wild is pretty strong with the quest as well, arguably too strong.
U can beat shaman u don’t need nerf for it

You were wrong mate, the next nerf was Warrior again, the Discover nerf! :D

Why not posting it then in the correct salty forum?

I find Pala quest way more oppressive.
