Priest was the worst class not for a while, but for centuries, and when he had his only tier 1 deck in HS history they hated that deck so much, if they didn't give priest his moment, why would they give hunter his ?
Hunter decks feel fair. However, every single hunter card from past 4 expansions feels generally more powerful than all other classes' cards of all times.
Can everyone stop PLAYING Hunter. Not literally everybody, but everyone who decided to craft Zul Jin day 1 and play nothing but Spell Hunter.
^^^ This is the actual problem. The class itself isn't the issue, it's the glut of hunters on ladder. It's boring/exhausting to face a vast majority of one class. It was the same when jade druid broke Mean Streets, and then Frozen Throne, and again in Kobolds, ad nauseum.
And this isn't anything new, since hunter historically thrives on evolving metas given its aggressive baseline of spells and hero power meant for high pressure face damage. The meta will settle and secret and spell hunter will cool their heels lower in tier 2 while odd pally and deathrattle hunter likely battle it out for top of tier 1.
So to the OP, this isn't a thing to even consider. The community will always hate what's most popular because it dumbs down the variety and experience of Hearthstone. the community will also always play what they hate because it wins (or they'll run sub-par decks and either rise above the odds or remain in lower ranks / lower legend).
All this being said, I'm enjoying my tempo and control hunters immensely. I do like that hunter is strong (my favorite class!), I just think it's best left in tier 2. If you see me on ladder playing deathrattle hunter, you know I just had a streak of tilting matches.

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Odd thread. Complaining about easy wins against a Tier 2 deck. It's not even like its control and the games are long, turn 10 is the payoff pitch, one way or another, its over after Zul'jin.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
I started playing quest hunter and it has been very entertaining and people don't expect it. Playing Zul'jin and completing the quest twice in a game against a control matchup is really fun. I also enjoy secret hunter and have been playing it for a long time. I don't want to stop now but it is annoying facing so many other hunters. That being said people complain so much in forums about this game no matter what. There is no such thing as a perfectly balanced game this complex. You will always have certain things that rise to the top. As people explore more I bet Hunter will calm down and we will see more diversity come back. Hunter feels like an easy target right now but it doesn't feel so completely broken as other decks in the past have been.
What would be the worst meta, someone asked Kripp a couple of years ago.
He replied "the worst meta in HS will be when Hunter is Tier 1. Why? cause of its bullshit no skill auto 2 dmg hero power" Little did he know what would happen next. hp still bs but guess what, in it for the long match? no problem upgrade it to build a beast.
Im fine with hunters to be honest. lot of counters now
i think people still have PTSD from the face hunter that worked from Open Beta until Leper Gnome and Abusive Sergeant were nerfed, edit: which was a looong loooong time

A buddy of mine still hates hunter solely for pre-nerf Undertaker hunter.

Wait til there's a straight counter, and they'll start to disappear. It's literally day 1, week 2 of the meta.
The actual problem is people not understanding the game, not enjoying the game, not using the first few weeks to experiment with decks and counters, and expecting it to be a settled meta from the word go. With those same people then compaining ad nauseum once the meta settles, anyway.

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.

lmao +1, huntard class will never be anything else than me go face, Deathstalker Rexxar is delaying the face.

I would enjoy it more if 2/3’rds of my opponents weren’t hunters and the early game for almost all decks goes secret plan, trap, trap, greater spellstone.

Hunter has been one of the worst classes for awhile. Can you guys just let it have its 5 minutes of fame?
