After a couple of weeks from the nerf and all the early excitement, I would like to know what you think about the state of the game...
Are you having fun?
Personally, I'm not having fun.
I like that there are lots of different playable archetypes. But I like to play Aggro in ranked matches, Combo for fun, and Control at high ranks. Now I find Control everywhere and I can't play aggro decks, because there aren't. I don't like to play till fatigue in a mind/value based game, as result of several randomness... because it makes me feel like i'm wasting my time. Game is getting more random expansion after expansion, and imho, skill became secondary if half of your deck is infected by RNG.
TL;DR I'm not a fan of the meta. Classes are balanced and the meta is less of a game of "rock, paper, scissors". However the gameplan of most decks is very boring (build a big, sticky board) and the mechanics are very boring. Basically there is a severe imbalance of deck archatypes and viability.
Yeah I really am not a fan of this meta. In terms of classes things are definitely more balanced, however as op stated deck archatypes seems imbalanced and the general mechanics that most decks interact with seem bland.
Pre-nerf was definitely worse with classes unbalanced with several decks just dominating. It was also a very "rock, paper, scissors" meta and the game was decided most of the time on the matchup rather than any "skill". This meta is less of a "rock, paper, scissors" meta which is good as you want to win the games that you "should win" because it allows analysis of the meta and counterplay (however you don't want the game predecided before it starts and there should be a very specific gameplan for the underdog deck to execute that will win it the game some of the time).
So in the sense of all classes playable (which is great for alot of the fan base which dedicate themselves to a couple of classes and have favourite classes they want to play) and the matchup situation is looking okay, is great! However rush and echo are quite boring mechanics, atleast when limited to very flavourless minions. Alot of the gameplay now is develop a big unkillable board (either by giving all your tokens soul of the forest, playing deathrattle minions, or being able to repeatedly refill the board). Token druid, Control/cube warlock, taunt druid, odd paladin, spiteful druid, even miracle rogue relies alot on spiders summoning for a board. And the only other decks which really see play is decks with alot of removal (taunt warrior, even warlock, control mage). Sure theres a touch of baku rogue and burn mage, but two very limited decks that struggle against decks historically they should do well against show how aggro and tempo decks really aren't in a great spot.
I will concede that malygos druid and shudderwock shaman are decks that don't fit the description (even shaman and spell hunter also, however they are still very board based decks and don't have very many cool mechanics). So that is a plus for sure. However they are quite expensive for the average player to craft and not really "true combo" decks (atleast the current more viable shudderwock shaman).
Isnt it too soon to speak about the meta after the nerfs? I mean its not even 24 hours after the Jungle Giants Tess Kingsbane Lynessa nerf so its hard to tell give it 15 days

LOL, saying kingsbane got nerfed is pushing it a tad far, but I agree with everything else about this comment (even if the OP wasn't refering to this nerf ^^)

I mean - literally none of those cards were in a T1 or T2 deck. Even Maly Druid shifted away from Quest and toward Twig. Unless you were joking. Then my bad :)

To each his own, but it sounds to me that what you're complaining about is just too picky. For most of hearthstone, aggro reigned supreme, and people compained that they can't even build a board or play late game combos. In the recent meta, many people complain about combo decks such as maly druid or shudderwock or exodia mage being completely uninteractive (stall and draw long enough = win). So aggro and combo decks both have their fair share of being hated upon. Now you're complaining about control decks and midrange that are neither aggro nor combo, simply because being "board centric" is boring. What kind of decktypes would make you happy? Building a sticky board to win the game is, for the most part, the only other type of play outside aggro and combo.
As it stands, there is a fair amount of aggro, midrange, control, and combo decks. None are taking over the ladder. If what you want is some new sort of "exciting" mechanic, then I don't know what meta in hearthstone history you were happy with (personally, this is my favourite meta in hearthstone history)

Yeah i was just joking around. I like this meta tho its rock scissors paper style still exists specially with shudderwock decks and the abundance of decks that flood the board praying ur opponent doesnt have aoe
Mwah same shit like always, new top tier net decks come, new annoying shit that you will face everytime. First i hated seeing warlock, now i hate to see lunara's face
OP, what do you mean you can't play agro? I find my Odd Pally is actually doing quite well, piloted him to my usual Rank 5 on first day of the month. He's doing better, in fact, than when he was oppressed by Even Pally and Cubelock. Ironically it was then that people complained about the deck being overpowered (it wasn't) and now that it became stronger, people feel that it's balanced (I think the hate towards Even Pally also translated into hate for Odd Pally from players who did not understand the decks).
As far as Kingsbane, this Rummaging Kobold is not a nerf at all. If anything, it's a buff. First of all, NOBODY was running Rummaging Kobold and Kingsbane in the same deck precisely because getting crappier copies of your main weapon makes you weaker, not stronger. Getting a 1-1 copy of your Kingsbane makes Shinyfinder worse, Countess Ashmore worse, and anything that can draw you the good version. The only time a 1-1 copy is ever useful is when you're both in fatigue, and you can accomplish the same thing with your hero power or DK Valeera. What this change DOES allow, however, is for you to put multiple weapons into your Kingsbane deck, and have Rummaging draw those.
I thought I wanted a balanced meta. I thought wrong, assuming this is what they consider a balanced meta. Statistically I suppose it makes sense to have RPS evenly distributed, but that means you as a player can't really make a deck/tech choice based on the local meta - you just load up a deck and hope you queue into the right stuff. I've stopped playing my favorite deck in exchange for something that overall should do better. Not to mention, the way decks win right now is boring AF. You either go aggro, or you delay delay delay delay gain 24 armor in one turn delay Psychic Scream delay delay delay win the game/OTK combo.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I mean, i think the meta is objectively light-years better than it was before the nerfs. You can play every class on multiple archetypes (heck, i even got some freaking quest paladins at rank 2 on my climb so far), but as far as fun goes, it's pretty much a subjective matter. You can or can't enjoy, but you've got to admit you can play a lot more stuff nowadays and pretty much all strategies we are seeing have decent counters. It's one of the most diverse metas ever both in terms of classes and archetypes. I know we are seeing a lot of Druid but it's not nearly as opressive as spiteful decks or even paladins. Even Shaman and Miracle Rogue tend to farm druid anyways.
My advice to you is look for something you find fun and try to adjust to the decks you are seeing :)
Shudderwock shaman still exists. Always hated decks that were “I draw combo and win” or “oH noEs aGgrO” (quest mage). Other than those one or two blips of insta-concede, every deck feels okay currently and meta is actually pretty fun where even homebrew decks can work.

Don't mind me, just the UK National Champion.
People will always complain, no matter what. Just play and shut up, if you can't enjoy leave.
Top deck is cheat

I spent money on this game, as a customer I'm free to express my opinion. If you are here to flame <snip>, just don't reply.

It's ok. I feel like there's room to breathe in this meta. I feel also decks I lose to don't auto win against me.
All I'm facing is Druid Druid Druid. It's not fun. Before nerfs paladins right and left and now it's druid. No thanks not my idea of fun.

Very different meta i like it :)

This meta sucks, because CtA is 5 mana.
