In Hearthstone lingo deck that requires skill just means a greedy net deck no cheaper than 11000 dust with a lot of powerful Legendaries, that no budget deck has a substitute for.
No. It's just priest has ALWAYS been the most expensive class if it's to be viable on ladder. ALWAYS. Nothing to do with net decking or p2w bullshit.
I play wild and I can surely say that Reno Priest beats any druids thanks to Lightbomb and Skulking Geist, entombing Aya, in the end playing N'zoth and druid concedes. The only deck that counters Reno Priest is Aggro Murloc Pal and Pirate Warrior.
Came to the site this morning to see what the forums were thinking would be an actual nerf for Druid that makes sense without killing the class. Surprise surprise the threads are bitching about something else. I don't understand why I come to Hearthpwn or Reddit anymore.
inb4 nerf dragonfire potion and shadow reaper anduin etc. because priest will be the top class and hearthstone players are never happy
I think people are whining, and don't want priest to be good, because priest games are generally long and require thought - can't have that interfere with their steamroll to legend with brainless cancer decks, can we? /kappa
Always said that the day priest is going to be at least half decent people are going to complain.
Its obvious why. The class mechanics are the definition of annoyance. Stealing cards (with RNG), heals for insane value trade, reviving minions and great single target board control. No matter what you like in hearthstone priest will have something that will piss you of.
I was happy when priest was dogshit but sadly play time is over. Get ready for 20 Minutes game loosing to your own cards stolen from RNG or the same monsters you had to kill over and over again.
I doubt any decks will rise to beat Priest right now
How do you doubt this... based on what? (not flaming, genuinely curious, cos I think very opposite)
Druid keeps in check ALL decks that are good vs Priest. All Druid decks (Midrange, Aggro/Token, Jade) win vs all Hunters. However, all Hunters beat all Priests a lot. No more Druids => more Hunters => less Priests.
Priests hardest counter is Elemental Mage, and Elemental Mage's worst matchups are all Druids. And this continues with many more examples... Also Big Priest beats Aggro Druid. No more Druid = less Big Priests.
I believe it's completely opposite and that Druid is one of the things that keep Priest alive at the moment. Of course we will see what kind of nerf Druids gets and it depends on a lot of different factors, but if anything Priest players should thank Druids for existing at the moment looking at any statistics.
Base on your information , let's assume Hunter is good against Priest but may i ask why no bro players bring hunter to tournament ?(they ban Druid all the time)
Because Hunter is not good against most other decks atm .
So , Warlock , Shaman may beat Priest , even Taunt Warrior can do it but it will be hard . This is what i think the meta will become , Priest will be tier S and the remaining classes will be tier 1 and below .
Big Priest is a jade counter, simple as that. If it becomes popular Shaman will just run double hex and stomp on big priest's throat. Personally I would expect token shaman to be the best deck in a meta with no spreading plague anyways. As for highlander, that deck should still remain powerful, but it doesn't seem oppressive to me. Getting off the Raza->Shadowreaper->Velen is definitley super strong, but it's basically just a little better than Quest Warrior at the cost of weakening your deck with 1 ofs. You also have to consider the decks that are powerful but just cannot beat Jade, such as Arcane Giants Warrior, that will also rise and affect the meta.
As a side note, complaining about "losing to your own cards" is by far the dumbest complaint in hearthstone. It is literally easier to play around a card like thoughtsteal than a card like arcane intellect. You know exactly what cards are in your deck, whereas you don't know what cards your opponent might draw because your opponent might not be netdecking and even if they are you don't know what is already in their hand.
Unless a viable druid remains, the retirement of Spreading Plague from the meta will lead to an increase in aggro decks. Such decks will feast on both heavily draw-dependent priest builds.
Best Aggro decks right now is Aggro Druid and Pirate Warrior , but Priest is just too good with their AOE removal , for example they can looking for Dragon Fire Potion through Shadow Visions or the reduce attack combo . Even the Shadow Word :Horror alone is good enough .
Priest is not close to be a problem like druid is now because the decks are not reliable like druid.
If you don't play Barnes in turn 4 with Big or don't draw fast your combination Raza+DK in highlander then the opponent have plenty of time to play and win.
What make druid so insanely OP right now is the consistency, it is almost impossible to druid don't draw any ramp/Innervate card in beggining of the game or a heavy draw card in mid/late game because redundance.
If priest have the effect of Raza/DK/Barnes in others cards I agree with this topic but don't.

"Woaw"
Yep, as one of many who said "good" when it was trash tier, we're back to the miserable play experience of playing against Priest. They had it in a good spot last expansion with Dragon and Silence. Now it's back to the pre-Standard awful. And since they've managed to cover the historical counters (control Warlock, Rogue), its biggest counters are now quest Mage and Pirate Warrior, which just further serves to worsen a meta dictated by Priest.
Priest is just dtrong for Gadgetzan and Old Gods. When those sets rotates (wich will be soon) hey will loose a lot of power. Also, Big Priest is not that overpowered. Yes, he cheats with big minions using Eternal Servitude and Shadow Essence, but if your deck deal with that, the priest is going to loose. Highlander Priest is harder to deal with, but ironically both decks have a fatal flaw: There are heavily countered by aggro decks, so Pirate Warrrior and Aggro Druid will put them in their place.
If things truly get out of control, we still have two new expansions until the next standard rotation, so they can decide to give Priest low power cards and give better card for the other ones.
you complain about priest when the best aggro card still in standard ?
Priest only look good in slow meta but the slow meta (like now) happen because druid have positive winrate against aggro/midrange .When druid get nerfed murloc and pirate will flooding ladder again like ungoro
for a long time priest wasnt great im happy they are doing well now im not a priest main either but im glad people who stuck with there priest mains through all them bad times can now have real fun :D
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
I highly doubt this 'prieststone' theory. The deck is good, certainly but mostly it's dominance is predicated solely upon the fact that it is the only control deck which is even playable in Druidstone. Early in the KFT meta when fools like me were still attempting control builds I found that the Razakus build can be very inconsistent vs. dedicated heavy-control builds. N'zoth and Dragon lists as well as Demonlock's that aren't forced to teching against Jade seem to have a lot of game vs it.
EDIT: Also BIG EZ Priest will never be T1 due to how absurdly reliant it is on hitting a t4 Barnes and a t5 servitude. Yes the deck can just cheat its way to a win against everything, however the deck is simply suboptimal for laddering by design.
Jade druid is countered by aggro decks too and blizz will nerf. But i don't believe in priest nerf simply because the community wanna play with raza priest and other control stuff,
I'm really excited to see what is gonna happen with the meta (KAPPA), maybe we'll have the quest rogue back.
I've crafted Tinkmaster Overspark........ I try to meme the big priest when he drops his turn four barnes. That is really the only problem I have with priest, it isn't even that strong. Just should not win a game off of if a card is drawn by turn four. Raza priest is strong, but nowhere near the power level that druid is at now. I really doubt priest will be as dominant as druids are, but they will be strong. Haven't made the Weasel Tunneler yet, but im ready and waiting.

priest player lul
Everone who thinks, Priest will be "balanced" after the Druid nerf please look at the winrate of Priest in the HS EU summer playoffs 2017!
Priest was by far the strongest deck (which wasn't banned) and the only chance any deck had, was when Priest had a very bad draw.
Beside that, the Priest games were so boring to watch, it was painfull. -.-
