A 0 mana 1/1 charge that doesn't require you to play it from your hand is strictly better than every other card in the game. Assuming you don't draw it, of course.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.

Not warrior but rogue. Gang Up patches twice, play Southsea Captain, bring out 6 patches that are now 2/2, play 2x Cold Blood on one of them and hit face for 20. You need 5 mana to pull of a 20 dmg swing.
It's about the patches combo numbnuts... Patches - Gang up x2 - Captain - Kragg, or a similar combo. We'll first need to see if it's viable, at all though.
you can't play kragg after playing patches+gang up+ captain, because your board is full so you are really need to trade 1 patches to something

I highly doubt that this will be the main deck for Patches. It's a fun combo but is highly limiting on how you can play. Basically you can't play any pirate until you have the combo. It's a fun Trolden clip though.
Patches is just a free 1/1 and pirate activator, plus it allows you to basically play with a 29 card deck.
It's a very good card that will be auto-include in every deck that runs pirates.
U have to condider that you don't draw patches. I mean how small are the odds of not drawing patches in the first let's say 5 turns? Because turn 1 and 2 opponent won't really care especially warrior and priest will laugh and think "Hmm was that a bug? Didn't really feel anything"

Yeah, its a 0 mana 1/1 charge, but the important thing is you aren't playing it from your hand. In a pirate warrior deck, youd be stupid not to play this card. Worst case scenario is you draw it before you play a pirate.. then its a 1 mana 1/1 charge.. which is kind of bad. Pirate warrior probably wont be that great, but its an auto-include in that decklist.

Well not exactly, it's good because it allows you to draw a card and play it for free. The same reason why Mad Scientist was insane. Actually removing a card from your deck isn't nearly the same thing.
The effect of patches is a nice addition to hearthstone. About combo's, yeah unless they made cards to support patches it will just be crap. A 4/5 card combo with gang up and all that kind of shit you will only pull that off in like 1/25 matches. The card is fun but that's it

I wouldn't be so quick to judge Patches the Pirate based on its stats. Even though it may appear weak, there could be a really good way to combo with this card if you design the right deck for it.
Remember there have times where certain cards have been called bad before it was released, but when they came into the game people started to realise their potential. I mean who would have thought that Grim Patron would have a deck so powerful that it would have to be nerfed in some way, even to the point that even future OTK decks would have to be reconsidered a nerf because they were too powerful too?
All I will say is that it could be a good card, but I guess we will know more when we play the card.

And I kinda think if you won't really be able to combo it with something else what means you have to NOT draw it, it will just be a 0 mana 1/1 charge minion that deals 1 damage and dies after that. With ships cannon you got at least immediate value to deal 4 damage at turn 3 for example. Guess Blizz has to reveal some potentially good pirate buff cards in order to make this card kinda good. In pirate decks it's just gonna be an extra body witch is also very good sure but I mean not game breaking good

Iksar said that it was deck from the past year with ship cannon i guess, so this exp will bring nothing what he talked about( maybe this deck willbe viable in wild). Reading carefully is hard.
patches is a good card. if you play swashburglar turn 1 you get him out and you have enough damage on the board to kill a flame imp and you got a warlock card. or you play nzoths 1st mate and you have enough damage to kill a tunnel trogg next turn etc.

Patches is a really good card. Understand how tempo and value work. Patches will be a staple in every aggro pirate deck.

On its own Patches is good, an auto-include in any Pirate deck, but insufficient to call it a Patches deck unless you heavily build around it.
It could simply be a variant of Miracle Rogue.
I hope it is viable, and perhaps some new cards will make it more consistent.
It looks fun on paper.
